Avoid Eagle Auto on State St in downtown Eagle at all costs. CJ, an Auto body repairman that operated out of Eagle for many many years even had a sign on his door..."We are in no way associated with Eagle Auto Repair." Horrible reputation from other people Ive talked to. Do not go here for any reason.

My husband is very happy with their service. My daughter also takes her car there for repairs. It's a family business and they are very friendly and professional. They are reliable and I would used their service again

The starter was going out on our 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan (turning over only every 5-10 turns of the key), and since our regular repair shop was busy, we took our vehicle to Eagle Auto Repair. They quoted us $441 for a replacement starter, at a cost of $44 for the checkup (which is a reasonable fee).
For comparison, I called back our regular repair shop, Don's Automotive in Boise, and they said it would be no more than $220 to replace the starter and that most likely it was the contacts (solenoid and plunger), so it wouldn't even need that. In all fairness, I told Eagle Auto Repair this quote, and they offered a refurb starter for half their original quote and said something negative about Don's Automotive. I don't need this kind of interaction to find a good price.
So I took the van to Don's Automotive some days later and sure enough, they just replaced the contacts for $117 and we're up and running again.
Maybe I would have a better warrantee with a new starter, but I'm driving a 1999 van for goodness' sake. I'm going with the shop that matches my priorities -- keep the thing running at low cost. For me, that's not Eagle Auto Repair.

They are very nice people and are always very gracious. They are professional and do good work. They have given us a couple of freebies too. They are very expensive, though.

The air conditioner quit working shortly after the repair job. It was not the condenser, but something else. I called them back, and they replaced the new part but did give me credit towards the repair based on the original repair. Now the AC works great. I think the repairs are good, but this place is pricey.

I took the vehicle in on Wednesday (9/30) for several problems, most of which I assumed would not be expensive. The main issues was the whining noise in the differential, which I did assume would be expensive. (I was anticipating a cost for everything somewhere around $1500) Late afternoon I received a phone call - the total, if everything was done, would run around $3400. This included a laundry list of things that should be done, but did not have to be done *right now*. I did appreciate being informed about the other issues. I asked what could wait until a later date, and after some discussion, we lowered the estimate to $2250 with the work being completed on Friday (10/2). I cringed a bit at the price, but authorized the work. On Friday I called to check on the status. Everything was done except the differential. They had replaced the parts, but the whine was still there. More parts were needed, and it should be done Saturday (10/3), On Saturday they informed me their parts supplier was closed, so we'd have to wait until Monday (10/5). On Monday they informed me the parts supplier did not have the parts, so they had to be ordered in from Portland. That's when I asked how much more it would be.... another $400+. I was not happy, but I figured the vehicle had to be fixed (I got it for a steal anyway). Finally, Tuesday (10/6), and a full week later, the job is complete. (And I'm $2700 poorer). I trust this shop as I have used them before, and they are always very thorough and complete. But, in this case I suspect I could have saved some cash somewhere else.

They were very responsive, getting us in as soon as they could. The work was performed very quickly and we had our Suburban back in less than 2 days. Everything seemed to work fine except a 4WD warning light. I called them back to tell them that the light came on, and they told me to bring it back. They put me at the top of the list to fix the problem. It cost a lot of money to get everything done, but the work performed was high quality. You know how the saying goes: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
