Renewal by Andersen costs more than the others, but it's worth it for the quality of their windows and most importantly the professionalism of their in-house employee installation crews. We've had disappointing experiences with other window companies and even Andersen windows bought at a home improvement store but installed by an independent installer. We got two crews, four men, on a Friday, and they only needed 8:00 to 4:00 to replace five windows. They were conscientious about putting down tarps and plastic inside the house, and even put down cardboard on the deck; they vacuumed thoroughly when they were finished. We were worried about exterior window trim made of non-removable siding material, but they were able to neatly work around it. We had some miscommunication about interior trim around some of the windows, but they cheerfully phoned for replacement lumber and removed and replaced some boards that weren't cut the want we wanted. At final inspection, we had them caulk some gaps in the interior trim on one window. Unlike other workers we've had in the house, this crew (Javi, Jont, Christian, Gabe) was notably polite and personable, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs working for this company.

We we extremely happy with every aspect of the job. Craig Mc. and crew are expert craftsmen. They were a great team. It was amazing to watch them work. We would hire them again. The windows are beautiful and outside noise is reduced by at least 80%.

Over the past few years we have purchased windows from Anderson for the rest of the house. We had the family room & a bedroom left to do. We finished with that in April. I was not happy with the finish on the painted surfaces. It was dull and looked like it had been rubbing against something...perhaps the way it was packaged.... So I am disappointed in this last window purchase. They talk about quality but someone wasn't doing their job.

We had the last 3 windows replaced in the house. They had replaced 5 other windows a 1 1/2 ago, plus the sliding door out to deck, kitchen window & bathroom window & basement window. Which he had a difficult time with but, he succeeded at . We are very, very happy with all the windows. Much more energy efficient & so saves a lot of money in the long run. No more putting plastic on living room windows & sliding door in the winter !!!

Communication was poor. They offer a reward for a referral and would not pay our friends that referred us,(according to the information on their flyer). Had to ask several times and they finally did, months later. The actual windows look nice on the inside. The outside of the house was not done neatly, when I sent pictures, they said it looked okay - we and our painters did not agree, painter said it was a bad job of caulking (he has 40 years experience) , they did not offer to come look at the outside,(the inside guys/ contracted to finish were helpful - (the inside guy and finish guy did a nice job and answered questions that sales people didn't.) I wasn't impressed with communication. I paid them and we decided we won't use them for the rest of our windows. 3 windows were $8000.
