Overall good experience.  Good communication and responsive emails, with competitive price.
Showed up at 8am and started work right away.  Did want check in hand before starting work.
Driveway looks good so far, and the sealant doesn't seem to rub off on shoes / feet.

Work performed by Bloomington, MN franchisee: Richard Rimer - 9619 Oakland Ave.
I contacted the Lakeville location, due to the better ratings but found out later that the work was deferred to a Bloomington franchisee, which does not seem to have a presence on Angie's List.
My initial experience was positive.  Got a call back shortly after leaving my contact information on voicemail and had someone come out to give me an estimate and his crew came out to perform the work the same day.
The price was a little higher than other estimates but due to the positive reviews I read, figured it would be worth the difference.
When the work was completed everything looked pretty nice and I was fairly happy with the results.
Shortly thereafter the problems began:
I did pay on the day of service, my check was deposited two days later and had cleared and a month later received a past-due notice.
Within two months I noticed that the sealcoat started to deteriorate amidst the snow melt and several snow removal events.  By the beginning of spring all of the sealcoating had washed away and am back to where I started last fall.  With lots of residue at the bottom of the driveway and in the street.
I have made several attempts to contact Richard but to date have not heard back to date as to how this will be resolved.  I happened to speak to him once and he knew exactly who I was, as he mentioned my address without me providing it.  He indicated that he would be out later that day to take a look.  Have not heard from him since.  Left several voice messages without response.
Besides the durability issues, the coating started to stick to shoes and boots, damaging floor mats and leaving tar-marks on floor tile which was nearly impossible to remove.
Due to the durability problems and unprofessional follow up I cannot recommend this company or it's franchisee and would recommend picking a different company.

Update: Strike 2: (6/5/13)

Several weeks ago.  Seal King's crew happened to knock on our door, indicating that they were there to take care of the driveway.  We had to send them away because it was an inopportune time. Additionally this was hours before a severe rain was expected, followed by many days of rain.  We had not been contacted as requested to arrange for a time or to go over the issue.  The workers were sent away with a message for the owner to call us to set up an appropriate time.  To date (6/5/13) no phone call or any attempt of communication has been received.

Overall Experience Rating: F

Update:

Received a call (vm) on 6/26/13 from Richard, indicating that his crew would be in the neighborhood that day and was wondering if they could take care of the driveway that day.  I did call him back shortly thereafter and agreed to have them come out that day.  When I asked Richard what the reason was for the deterioration of the sealcoating, he stated that when the sealcoating was applied, the mixture was too thick, causing it to break down shortly thereafter.  He had experienced the same problem at his own residence. Never received an apology for the inconvenience or lack of professionalism.

Later than expected that day, a different crew than the one that originally applied the sealcoating showed up and performed the work. They did a nice job, however caused some overspray on the newly painted house.  I had taped off the edges of the driveway over my new concrete and probably should have taped off a larger area, including the bottom of the house. Who would have thought.....

Overall Experience Rating: raising to a D  (will adjust again in a few months, depending on the durability of the latest application of sealcoating).

Update:   6/12/2014:

Unfortunately the sealcoating did not last through the last winter.  We are back to a bare driveway..  all the sealcoating has disintegrated and ended up in the street.  New laws  were passed requiring seal coating companies to use materials that are supposedly less harmful to the environment with concerns for runoff into public waters,  Well what they have seemed to have accomplished is come up with a guarantee to get even faster runoff.  I may have just have them deliver a couple of buckets of sealcoating so I can dump it into the street which would save me the frustration of thinking that my driveway is sealcoated, only to find out that months later it has to be sealcoated again.  Either this company uses inferior materials or politicians have taken the consumer to the cleaners once again, forcing lesser quality of life and unforeseen consequences that are worse than the problem they attempted to resolve. Needless to say, Seal King won't be doing my driveway anymore and may have to look for a place where I can find some good quality sealcoating material.

The seal coating itself seems to be not as durable as I hoped it would be.  Just from normal driving on it, it was worn
pretty good before winter was even over.  Forget using any sort of chains on your snowblower - they'll go right through the coating (our previous coating didn't do this).  I understand that this coating will wear over the course of a few years - but I'm disappointed in just how much it has worn in the short time since we had it applied.
We're having a pool put in now, so there's been a lot of heavy equipment moved over the driveway, so I didn't expect the coating to survive that process very well, so no sense in going back to Seal King at this point to see if they'd do anything for us.  I don't know if there's some option to have an extra-durable coating applied or whatever, but I'd probably go that route if they offered it.
Again, no issues at all with the people or process or application, just didn't have good luck with the product this time around.  Even though I said I would use them again, I'd probably shop around a lot more next time and compare the products they use.

I think they did a nice job.
Seal King wasn't the cheapest service but they weren't too high either..I spoke to neighbors who used them and they seemed satisfied which helped me choose them.  Other companies had cheaper prices - $99 for everything, but I ran across negative reviews for each on AL from a couple of years ago and thought, why take a chance?
Seal King's crew arrived on time, did the job and left. Everything they said they would do they completed and I was able to pay over the phone while at work so it was a good deal for me. I would use them again.

They did an excellent job, were careful to clean up after the job was done, and charged us less than the original price we were expecting to pay!  Can't complain.  We also told our next-door neighbors, and they will contact Seal King when the current construction on their house is completed.  It's hard to find people who do what they promise in a professional manner, and leave your home without leaving a mess behind!  We will contact them again!  Mary Matasovsky

We have used Seal King for sealcoating for the past four years and have been very pleased. We have an old, cracked driveway that requires a yearly sealcoating to keep it looking nice. Their prices are good, they are easy to contact by phone, they are punctual and they do a thorough job. They take their time filling cracks with sealer, they are careful not to get the coating on the plants in our garden and they are careful not to splash the sealcoat on to the garage door.

Marcus, with Seal King, was the lead person. He was very polite, professional, and communicated well. He and his assistant edged the grass and cleaned the areas to be sealed. All went well with the application. However, it rained the next day (Saturday} and some areas did not hold. I called seal King on Monday and by 1:00 they had their team back on-site to reapply the sealer. The job looks great and the service was excellent.

They were courteous on the phone, reminded me a day before they were going to do the job, and arrived before noon to do the work. The driveway looks great, and they filled in 95% of the cracks. I had a $30 coupon for being a repeat customer, so the cost was $139 instead of their regular $169 for a two-car garage driveway.

They came one day and did not find a check for the work. I gave them my credit card number so I would not have to leave a check. The crew did not know that infomation so they did not do the work. Called the company and said "I gave you my credit card." They lost the number and so it delayed the work for a few days.

Seal King made a timely call to reschedule due to anticipated rain. Provided service as agreed and as re-scheduled. Sent follow-up thank-you note with business card. Work was done well. No complaints, however, crew could have been more precise in applying the joint filler to the gap between the driveway and garage floor; should have removed edging debris. Overall, I was pleased and will use their service again.

BEN TOLD ME HE WOULD SEND SOMEONE OUT IN THE SPRING. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO THEM. AFTER SEVERAL (ONE IN JUNE AND ONE IN JULY) MISSED APPOINTMENTS, THEY EVEN GAVE ME THE NAME FOR ANOTHER PERSON IN THE SAME BUSINESS. IT"S BEEN A COMPLETE RUN-AROUND FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT IN THE SPRING. BEN IS THE CONTACT I SPOKE WITH, BUT HE TRIES TO PASS HIS THE BLAME TO DAVE, THE SUBCONTRACTOR WHO DID THE JOB.

HE ANSWERED THE PHONE THE FIRST TIME I CALLED - ON FRIDAY. HE ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS, AND I SCHEDULED HIM TO DO MY DRIVEWAY ON MONDAY. WHEN I GOT HOME ON MONDAY, IT WAS DONE JUST AS I HAD BEEN TOLD IT WOULD BE. ALSO, MY QUITE PARTICULAR, RETIRED NEIGHBOR ACROSS THE STREET DID WATCH EVERY MOVE OF THE SEALCOATING PROCESS AND CALLED ME LATER TO SAY HOW IMPRESSED HE WAS WITH THE JOB THEY HAD DONE.
