Salon 30

I made an appointment here because 1) I needed a cut on relatively short notice and it takes several weeks to get an appointment with my and quot;regularand quot; stylist; 2) I wanted to support a local business; and 3) a friend uses this stylist. I took a photo (of me with the desired style) to the appointment and, to be fair, the stylist mimicked the photo. However, I explained that my thick hair needed to be razor-cut in order to allow my natural wave to release. She randomly cut into a couple of chunks, and that was about it. So although it technically mimicked the photo, it didn't allow for my natural hair qualities, so it didn't mimic the style. The cut was uneven, and I spent three weeks until I could get into my regular stylist fighting with it every morning.
The stylist was the owner of the salon, with a lot of experience, so I expected a lot more. I was bothered that she spent no time asking me about my lifestyle, how my hair behaves, etc--the things you would expect a quality stylist to ask upon your first visit. Based on her attitude, it seemed she had no interest in building a relationship with me. At the end, she didn't ask if I wanted a blow dry and style; just left me with wet hair and no suggestions about styling. I had to ask what product she recommended for enhancing the wave; she seemed annoyed that I was giving her an opportunity to make a product sale.

I have gone there for several years. They are very good; that's why I go there. They are friendly and if I have something come up and I have an appointment set, they are willing to work around that and change it to another time or another day. I have just had really good experiences with them. Their prices are really good compared to some of the big city prices.
