Description of Work: I had two previous plumbers screw up everything, the first Goering out of Ankeny attempted to charge me additionally for things covered in the contract, the second Lovelady Plumbing charged me for things not completed he told me everything was done and signed off by the plumbing inspector...not true. | |Dave Kriens came out and promptly and professionally fixed what the previous guys did not do or did not do correctly. | |I will stick with Dave in the future.

Description of Work: I had multiple visits by Randy in order to get plumbing disconnected for mold removal in my shower. He was great to work with and I would recommend Kriens as being very accommodating and professional.

Description of Work: I've used Kriens 3 - 4 times now. Randy has done my work; he is always timely, efficient diagnosing, and effective at fixing while there. I have recommended Kriens to others as someone did for me some time back now. I'm grateful to have them for my home.

Description of Work: I had a water leak between the water main and the meter, requiring a new water service be installed. It also had to comply with city code. Eight plumbers came to look at the job. Seven sent me bids. One bid was $5000 but when I got feedback at work, and looked at reviews on Angie's List, I decided to not go with them. One bid ranged from $11000 to $16000, with possible additionals based on what might happen. They had a flat rate sheet that I couldn't copy so really couldn't think about which service I might want. Plus, their reviews on Angie's List were horrible. And I got five negative replies at work about them, instantly. The other bids were in the $7000-8000 range. I chose Kriens because: Their bid was competitive. Their bid was broken down into very specific parts. Their bid was guaranteed. Timing. They could complete the work in one day, and before the deadline given me by DSM Water. They have a good Angie's List rating. A friend recommended them. Dave pointed out some prep work I could do to ensure dishes stored on shelves in the basement wouldn't be damaged from the drill vibrations. Slight chance, but he pointed it out. No other plumber pointed that out.

Description of Work: Finished all work to replace sump pump. Became defective. Offered the $1000 cash rebate for redirecting the underground drainage in basement which was also done. Very poor workmanship.

Description of Work: I wanted a tankless water heater installed.

Description of Work: Kriens Plumbing installed a back water valve in the basement and moved a toilet in the basement.

Description of Work: This time, Kriens replaced the diverter in my kitchen faucet. I have used Kriens several times for both big and small jobs, and I have always been happy with them. They come when they say they will come, they get the job done quickly, and they are always professional and courteous. They installed a backflow valve on my sewer for me, and when it had problems, they replaced the whole business at no charge to me. They have also rearranged the plumbing in my laundry area, installed my sump pump, and changed out faucets and tub trim in my bathrooms. When I needed additional paperwork for a rebate on the sump pump, they did it all for me at no charge. I love these guys so much I wish they did more than just plumbing!
