I took my Poodle mix (Molly) there because she was not eating and would vomit when trying to drink water Tuesday 1/3/2017 about noon. They said they would like to keep her overnight and give her an IV with something in it to fight infection in the bladder after doing some tests on her, I agreed. Wednesday morning, 1/4/2017, I called to see how she was doing and they wanted to put her on something else so I went out to visit her about 2:00 PM and they said they wanted to keep her another night to see how the new medicine would do. Thursday morning, 1/5/2017 about 7:17 AM I got the call that Molly had just passed. I am afraid that I have joined Angie's List to late as I see no reviews on this clinic, good or bad, but if I had it to do again I would not take my pet there as I have learned there is no one on duty from about 11:00 PM until about 6:00 AM. Who knows what Molly went through in the night. My wish is that I had taken her home Wednesday so if she had to pass, she could do it at home. I have the feeling the hospital would have kept her another day or two even if they knew she was going to pass for the money. It cost me $800.00 for roughly 43 hours of care. I would not take my pet there again. Sorry.
So far we are very happy with the service we have received. We have had
two minor surgery's. The first was the removal of his rear dewclaws. And
the second was a removal of a lump on the tip of his tongue, which was
not cancerous. And both went very well. The doctors and staff were friendly and knowledge.
My big complaint with this was that when my husband dropped her off, they gave him back her collar and leash and put an actual rope tied around her neck on her! Had I been with him, she would NOT have stayed at that point. He told them she was not use to being on a leash at all - we never use one at home because we have direct access to a fenced area and we use a kennel in the car, etc. This made no difference on their handling of her.
When we picked her up, she seemed ok - happy to see us. They had all positive things to say about her overall demeanor, experience, etc. (She is an extremely sweet but timid dog - very shy and submissive. She gets along very well with people and other animals. Never barks but will whine if something is wrong or she wants something.) After getting her home, we noticed she had a terrible cough which lasted several days. As she had all her shots to protect her from typical boarding issues, we believe this was from the use of the rope. Never have I been ANYWHERE that uses an actual and quot;hangingand quot; style rope around a dog's neck!
