Even though I've been going to Beth, the salon owner, for years for haircuts and colors, she still always takes the time to discuss what I want before she starts and to determine if anything different is going on with my hair. She provides very high quality services. I have occasionally had other stylists at the salon, and they have all been very good. I have wavy hair, but until Beth started cutting it, the wave never actually showed up: My hair is so thick, without the right technique, the wave is weighted down.
You will, however, pay for this top quality. The less experienced stylists start at about $35 for a haircut/style, and my stylist charges about $60 for a cut/style which, in Cedar Rapids, seems a little steep. To me, it's worth every penny. I recently tried a stylist closer to home (who happens to be much cheaper)--disaster.

I have had thin hair for forever. She has been cutting my hair for 15 years, and it is perfect for what she has to work with. They are professional. It's a homey place. It's a wonderful place to get your hair cut. When I make my appointments, I have three booked in advance, because she's so busy. They stay up to date. They do a lot of weddings. I pay a lot of money for my haircut, but they are worth every penny.
