I called Sam's to ask about having my TV repaired. The man who answered the phone gave me prices for making a house call and for fixing the TV (exclusive of parts). These seemed quite fair to me. He then asked a number of questions about the TV problem and asked me to perform a test at night (in a dark room) and call him back with the results. I did that and spoke with the same man the next morning. Subject to what the TV repairmen found out when they examined my TV, he gave me an estimate for parts. We then discussed options and he said that it might not make economic sense for me to repair the tV (as opposed to buying a new TV similar to the broken one) unless I could bring the TV in to Sam's. As this was not an option for me, I decided to buy a new TV. By the way, Sam's doesn't sell them.
All told, the Sam's representative spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me, without charge. I expressed my gratitude to him and told him how favorably I was impressed by his honesty and concern for this customer. He said that it is Sam's policy to put the customer's needs first. I would certainly go to Sam's for any tV repair needs I have in the future. I rate them A+

Very helpful and honest. Unsure if can get the parts, but was upfront about the possibility and also about the fact that depending on what is wrong with the TV, it may not be cost effective to repair it.

I broke the cable input connector off the back of my flat screen TV, I went to Best Buy where I purchased the TV and they gave me the number for Sam's electronics. I called and he immediately responded. He came right on time on a Saturday, looked at the problem and also fixed a part inside the TV which is under warranty but we didn't have a problem with yet (he said Samsung has been having problems with a certain part, so he wanted to just change it for us before we had a problem, because the warranty might expire and we would have to pay to get it fixed). He was very customer service oriented, explained clearly what was being done, offered recommendations and was quick and thorough.
