Bruno de Paris Salon

I have been going to Bruno for the past three years and have never been disappointed in his services. Bruno runs an ammonia-free shop. I love the custom hair color that he creates for me and his haircuts grow out beautifully. Even after coloring, my hair is soft and manageable. Everyone always comments that they love my haircut and color! I have thick, unruly Asian hair and he is able to and quot;tameand quot; it. Bruno is a little pricey but I believe his quality work definitely deserves the premium price. Also, bang trims are free!

This salon is at the mauka end of Bishop Street on the 31st floor and it has floor to ceiling windows, so the Oahu view is obviously spectacular. And even though the dand eacute;cor is elegant and beautiful, the most impressive part of the salon is Bruno himself. He is such a delightful person, and a true hair artist. This I know with absolute certainty since my hair can be very challenging for stylists – thick and asymmetric waves with lots of gidi gidi (cowlicks, for you malihini), so believe me when I say that I’ve had many, many bad cuts. Over the years that I’ve been going to Bruno, I’ve chosen to wear many styles, from super short to past my shoulders, and each and every cut by Bruno has not only been wash and wear (so important in this humid environment), but also each one gave me a style that was flattering for my face and hair. Plus he carefully designed every cut to grow out beautifully. Bruno is the only stylist I’ve ever been to whose cuts are clearly designed to suit me and my hair, not to attempt to force it to do something it does not do naturally. Having had haircuts all over the Islands, on the mainland, and in Europe, I can honestly say that Bruno is definitely an artistic genius and an exceptional find!
