AEM Construction & Restoration

I was very impressed with AEM. They started by covering all my belongings with plastic so that there was no damage. They completed the job one day because they worked hard the entire time they were at my house. The wall they repaired in my living room was a 25 foot high wall and they had no problem with it. At the end of the job they vacuumed the entire living room and in the garage they washed the floor! Very happy with their work and will use them again without hesitation.

I would recommend them. They were timely, their response was timely, their quotes were good, their people were spot-on. They were all around pretty good.

We had a great experience with them. It went perfect. They did exactly what we set up to do. We will use them again in the future.

Extremely flexible as I had a number of contractor schedules to work with my schedule was terrible but AEM was extraordinarily polite and professional. Work is outstanding and clean. Would and will use them again.

They arrived on time to provide an estimate. Their estimate was a on the lower end of the 3 had received. We had a Den that we had gutted to the studs and they hung and finished the drywall including the ceiling. They started on Monday morning and were completely done on by Lunch on Thursday. They sealed off the room and cleaned up each day. Very little dust. The only thing that was perfect in this transaction was that I responded to the emailed quote to book the job and had to call to follow up. The said they did not receive the email. Over all it was a very minor thing considering the quality work at a reasonable price.

I called AEM drywall /painting on 2-13-13 and left message on ans machine for an estimate. The company called me back and set up a time/date for estimate of 2-15-13 . The person came for an estimate and asked for my E-Mail stating he would send the estimate to me via e-mail I have not received any reply by phone or e-mail for over 3 weeks. based upon this I will not be using this company.

They did good work. They were very courteous and always on time. They came back and followed up to fix various items several times without a hassle at all.

Excellent work! My only complaint is on the day they were to begin the work, instead of the workers coming to the front door to let me know they were onsite, I happen to see a man standing in my backyard, which startled me. And upon going out on the deck to ask who he was, I saw two other men standing in the yard. Although I knew the work was beginning that day, I would have appreciated a knock at the door to let me know they were here and ready to begin the work as opposed to just standing in my yard hoping someone sees them.

I had a fire at my 40 year old rental house. It burned a 4 by 8 foot hole in the floor and smoke damage throughout house. The insurance adjuster originally only paid to replace the ceilings and floors and repaint everything. AEM came in and showed the adjuster there was more damage than he originally saw. AEM got him to agree to pay to tear out and replace all the sheetrock, cabinets, doors, heat/AC, windows and etc so I got a completely new house on the inside. While working on the house, AEM noticed I had hail and wind damage on my roof so I got the adjuster back out and sure enough, he agreed with AEM so AEM installed a new roof (separate insurance claim). On both jobs, Arnaldo, AEM owner, handled everything in a professional manner. I know he went above and beyond our agreement on a few things and didn't ask for any extra pay. I have since used him on other repair jobs on my other rentals and gotten very professional service from Arnaldo and his crew. Bottom line is if you have fire/smoke damage, Arnaldo will get you the most money for repairs....and if you want a smooth running project with no headaches, then AEM Drywall Painting is the one to hire.

I was extrememly pleased with the workmanship performed by AEM. The company's personnel were on time and provided quality service. They took personal care of my home when repairing and painting the ceiling. I highly recommend AEM based on the quality of the work performed on my home.

AEM's crew was reliable, kept the job on schedule, and did a FANTASTIC job of delivering a solid drywall and paint job. In fact, they went above and beyond in some areas to ensure the end product was consistent with other rooms. The crew painted and completed a significant drywall repair job consisting of a 800 sq ft. play room, a 250 sq ft. bedroom, a two story hallway, a full bathroom (which also included re-grouting, installing replacement molding, fixing the sink, tub, and tiling, and also doing baseboard repair due to inconsistencies by the previous contractor. The owner, Arnoldo, indicated the job would take 7-10 business days. He brought a crew of 5 guys onsite. The job was done in 5 days and exceeded our expectation. My wife and I wish we used AEM from the start for the job, because at the end, the price we paid including the repair work would not have been much different than what we paid total - and the work would have been done right from the start.

Couldn't have gone better. The crew came in to hang the board, when they were done Jose came in to do all the finish, and at the end the sanders came to smooth everything out. I would give them 10 stars if they had them on Angies List. This was an incredibly difficult project, and it came out fabulous. I wish all of our subs on this project were as professional and good as they are.

If you want to brag to your neighbors about how expensive your remodeling was, don’t hire AEM because with Arnaldo you’re going to get good work and not pay a lot of money. AEM works fast, does the job right and is very easy to work with. When AEM put up sheetrock in our basement, they extended the work area to fix old problems so that the result would be perfect … all without charging more than their original quote. If you want to impress your neighbors with the good job in your remodeling and not with how much you spent, AEM is the right choice.

Getting the estimate took a little longer than expected otherwise when they started the work they were there on-time. The majority of the work was done within 2 days. I bought the ceiling fan online and I did not receive it until a few days after the room was completed and they installed it as soon as it came in. Paint and trim match and you can't tell there was ever an opening in the area. Overall they did great and I would recommend this group for home related projects.

They did an excellent job. They did a good job and had the best price. Overall they did a very good job. I would definitely recommend them to the others.

I was very pleased with AEM's work. Arnoldo responded promptly to my request for an estimate and provided a fair price for the work performed. Once we agreed on the estimate, he was able to have the work started the next day (on a Saturday). Two of his employees arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and worked very efficiently to get the job done. The quality of the work was top notch and they did a great job cleaning up after both work days. The room was paint ready when they were done, which is just what we wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend AEM for any drywall project. One last point - Arnoldo was able to communicate with me via text message regarding the job, which I found very helpful. He was prompt in answering my questions and kept me well informed about the progress of the work.

We had an appointment which Arnoldo about 3 weeks ago. He came out and looked at our projects, but wenever heard back from him. No phone call and we never received a promised quote by email, even after speaking with his office staff. Not sure why....

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Arnaldo Martinez and his entire team, they were professional and diligent and did an amazing job. I found AEM on Angie's list after having had little success with other contractors who were not able to take on a small project. I gave them a call and Janelle came out to my condo, gave me a quote and withing a couple of days Arnaldo and his team were ready to start working. I entered my unit during a day after they had started construction and was pleasantly surprised to see that there was plastic everywhere, protecting my hardwood floors, carpet etc. I also happened to come in during the mid-afternoon unannounced and found a couple of men working quietly and doing their jobs. Arnaldo checked in with me frequently and made sure to take care of anything I needed. I had them paint my entire 1500sq ft. unit and they did an exceptional job. Once both the second bedroom and the painting was complete , I did a walk through and noticed somethings I would have like perfected. I am extremely picky and notice imperfections- Arnaldo had no problem returning to get the job completed to my satisfaction. We did several walk throughs and made sure that I was happy with all the work that was done. If you are looking for a reliable and professional contractor I would definitely recommend Arnaldo. He speaks English and is fully licensed, this made it easy as he had to deal with my concierge and property manager.

This was a great experience. AEM is very reliable and professional. They delivered exactly as promised. I was given an estimated cost and time frame in which the work would be completed and AEM came in right on the money. I even asked for additional changes after the work was done and the price did not increase. The workers worked in my house for about 11 days and worked EXTREMELY hard from 8am to 6pm each day. They were very good about cleaning up the work area each day an this was a very messy job. If you are in need of interior painting or resurfacing of walls like myself I don't think you could do any better than these guys.Great job!

I was very pleased with the work done by AEM. Arnoldo and his crew finished our basement beautifully. The quote was reasonable (I had many others that were outrageous), they worked on a tight schedule to finish on time and the quality of the work was outstanding. We just purchased the house and wanted to finish all the work prior to moving in. He helped me make a plan and then executed it perfectly. The ceilings look particularly amazing, they framed out trey ceilings throughout to accommodate the duct work while also keeping the height. I would definitely hire him again.

I could not have asked for a more professional job. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. All of the sub-contractors were knowledgeable and performed their services exactly as they should. I would use their services again and again.
