Robert was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. He told us that he has had other customers experience this problem after getting a new high efficiency machine like we did, and that there was no guarantee that snaking the line would take care of it, but that it was the easiest and least expensive first solution to try. The problem seemed to abate for awhile after he snaked the drain, but it still occasionally happens. Ultimately, we determined that reducing the amount of soap we use seems to take care of the problem.

Pell Plumbing showed up quickly when we had a leak and did a wonderful job with the repairs. I would definitely use them again if we have a need and would also recommend them to a friend.

Robert did a great job on our replacement garbage disposal. He arrived on time, put on the booties over his boots, and proceeded to do the repair in record time. We were very happy with the work.

Very professional, clean and showed up very next day. Had to call them back about one month later as I noticed that the connection from the hose through the wall was disconnecting. Called and they immediately sent someone out to repair same. They charged me nothing, again, very pleasant and knowledgable person. Turns out it was my fault as I had pushed the dryer back against the wall too far and hit the hose causing it to disengage. I will definitely use Pell for all future needs.

The price was reasonable considering this was an emergency repair. Both times the plumber was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely call Pell again.

Robert Hillhouse installed my new disposal, and he is a real credit to Pell Plumbing. He was punctual, knowledgeable, cleaned up after himself, and came back on two occasions for minor repairs that were my own fault. I feel that the work he did was exemplary.

On time, good price, professional job. I couldn't have been more pleased.

There was a smell in our bathroom, the plumber thought by changing the wax ring it would solve it, but no guarantee. It worked.

Kitchen sink drain was clogged and backing up on both sides. He used the snake type thing to clear the drain from the sink to the main line. He was punctual and professional. We felt the price was high for the amount of time it took....but I think they are comparable to others in the industry.

It turned out to be great. I paid an extra $239 for the water line. My husband is not pleased that they left the wall open; he had to cut the sheet rock to get the line through the crawl space, but did not close it. We are not sure if that is common. I have not called them yet. I would not use them again.

It was a little expensive. He charged a little too much for that. It took him about 10 minutes. But, we were happy with the work. He showed up when he called. He called and came in and he seemed really good.

Though my water heater was not leaking, unusual clanging and popping noises alarmed me with my 13 year old water heater. I thought I needed to flush the tank or replace it. Robert Hillhouse came for the diagnostic visit and replaced the water heater, and we agreed that because the drain valve on the A.O. Smith heater is plastic (too stuck and fragile to drain the tank) and the age of the water heater, it might be best to replace the water heater. Consumer Reports had Rheem among its 4 recommended water heaters brands and recommended a water heater with a 12 year warranty. Rheem Fury was not the model recommended by Consumer Reports, but with the Protection Plus for $150 (second anode rod), the warranty increased to 10 years. The expansion tank was replaced to match the new water heater. Copper pipes that were cut to remove the old water heater were replaced with new copper pipes. The old, bent copper pipe for the natural gas was replaced with a flexible, plastic coated steel pipe. My master shutoff valve and PRV needed to be located because my house is on a slab but were nowhere inside the house. Both the master shutoff valve and PRV were buried beneath a foot of dirt (marked by a secondary meter box), in front of the outdoor faucet next to my front door and next to the sewer cleanout. Jeff Pell had to dig to expose the PRV and master shutoff but another visit a few days later was needed to replace them, because the size of the PRV was not available. Both valves were replaced a few days after the water heater tank was installed. I will update this posting within 12 months. January 3, 2015: It's been more than a year since Pell Plumbing installed my new water heater. No problems or noises to report. I have another plumbing need and will contact Pell Plumbing. Service done well deserves repeat business.

Had an appointment scheduled for today November 1st. they just called and cancelled. Where can you find a good plumber??? You go with he big companies that advertise and you pay for that and you go with someone on Angies List who have good ratings and they cancel the appointment on you. I work and my schedule is tough to manage. Looked up the info for this company - All A's. Then they cancelled for today after I had all my stuff ready for them to repair. Will try another company now. They did offer to reschedule but what do you do at that point? Will they cancel that appointment? Now I have to wait another week for someone to fix my issues. Very frustrating

Robert arrived on time and immediately inspected the sewage ejector pump to determine that it was broken. He gave me several options for replacing the pump, including the option for me to provide my own pump for him to install. I chose that option, and picked up a $300 unit at Home Depot while he removed the old pump. He quoted me a price for lasbor of $445 and deducted my prepaid Angies list coupon from the total. Robert did a great job, and the new pump is working fine.

Pell's repairman arrived as scheduled. I took him to the basement where the leak was located. After seeing the location he asked where the upstairs kitchen sink was located. I took him upstairs to the kitchen and he immediately discovered that the leak was coming from a fitting that connected a drinking water dispenser to the plumbing line. He replaced the fitting and the leak was immediately fixed. The repair job took less than 30 minutes and the problem has not occurred again.

The man they sent arrived promptly. He was polite and the entire job was done quickly and tidily. They arrived as schedule. When payment time came, the coupon I gotten through Angie's List for the service and that was all I needed.

We had not priced garbage disposals, but trust Angie's List to offer good values, and we were happy not to have to purchase our own at a hardware store then try to find someone to install it. Jeff with Pell Plumbing came promptly as scheduled and completed the project easily and quickly. We bought the deal on Friday and by Tuesday had it installed. We were very pleased with the entire process from purchase to scheduling to performance. We will turn to Pell Plumbing for future plumbing needs.

We had to shutoff water to the whole house because of a leaking shutoff valve in the master bathroom. Called Pell Plumbing, told them the situation and they promptly squeezed us in to their work schedule. They sent Jeff out and he was here within hours. He wasted not time in removing the old shutoff valve, cutting the pipe back as it had become bent ( cause of the leak ) and installing a new shutoff valve. We are very please with the whole experience. Jeff was professional, knew has stuff, and has a great personality. Will use them in the future if need arises.

The plumber arrived on time and was very polite and helpful. There were several small things I wanted done (change out a bathtub stopper, fix a running toilet, etc.) but I wound up only having him change out the interior mechanism of one toilet because everything else was so expensive. However, the plumber was very pleasant to deal with and worked very quickly.

I contacted Jeff, about the issue that I had.... We had redone our bathroom last October 2012, and ended up with a slipper air tub that had a very slight leak in one of the air jets. The company sent us a whole new tub. :) The original plumber that installed it, kept promising me and promising me that he would come out and swap the tubs out. After TEN months of calling him and texting him and getting the run-around, I gave up and decided to find a new plumber on Angie's List. I purchased the $79 "deal" with Pell Plumbing, and it worked out beautifully. I wish I had called Jeff nine months ago!! The plumber that he sent out was courteous and very competent, and he had the tubs swapped out within an hour. He even came back before leaving just to double check that there were no problems. I am an interior designer, and I am very particular about the contractors that I use. I always try to use them myself before using any for one of my clients. That being said, I would not hesitate to contact Jeff for any jobs that I have in the future....be it myself or a client.

We really liked the representative who came out. He arrived during the time frame that they said he would come out. Rob was very courteous! He came out and did what he was supposed to do and didn’t try to sell any extra jobs. There were some troubles re-lighting the gas light. He stayed extra to ensure that it was working properly and didn’t charge additional fees. It turned out very well!
