Description of Work: Moncrief installed a new air conditioning unit for us. They did a good job explaining the options available and were very professional. We use them for annual HVAC maintenance and they have never tried to sell us equipment or services we didn't need. This time, however, our 28 year-old AC unit was shot and simply needed to be replaced.

Description of Work: Replaced water heater. The work was at the promised time, completed quickly and thoroughly. We are very satisfied and recommend MONCRIEF HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING for all HVAC needs.

Description of Work: I've used Moncrief for many years for maintenance of my HVAC systems. When our water heater went out the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, we thought it would be days before we were back in service. They called first thing Monday (a holiday) and had a tech out that morning. There was no surchage for holiday work or emergency service. They had the part in stock (on a 12-year-old system) and had it working before noon. Always professional and prompt. They are not a bargain service and you will pay a bit more for their quality of service. It's more than worth it for their reliable and seemingly honest service.

Description of Work: After meeting with several other companies, I chose Moncrief to replace my HVAC system because they are Carrier experts and I wanted a Carrier system. Their installers were punctual, courteous, experienced, and very efficient, taking extreme care with cleanliness, putting covers over my rugs, etc., and the installed Infiniti system is superb. The latest service was on March 29, 2014. Moncrief's employees are always punctual, efficient and knowledgeable. I needed an efficient, cost-effective system with a heat pump that was very quiet due to its location close to my living room. After installation, a register was sweating and they determined this was caused by the insulation being eaten away by squirrels in the attic at one time. They replaced the insulation as needed and installed new registers. All of their work is done in a timely, efficient manner with much care taken to protect rugs, furniture, etc. I couldn't be more pleased and would wholeheartedly recommend Moncrief to everyone.

Description of Work: I am very, very pleased- our air conditioner started putting out a burning smell the night before Memorial Day. I called our usual folks- starts with a "C"- they couldn't get here until Friday- even after I explained I have my parents who live with me, and are older and can't tolerate the heat. I called Montcrief and they could come out on Memorial Day. Better yet- she told us 'after 12'- which having dealt with other service providers I took to mean "goodbye, afternoon, while I wait..." But they meant 12! They even called to say he'd be 15 minutes late. He was there, in and out in 30 minutes. It was a capacitor issue, which meant we were lucky- but I was tickled with their service. Guess who I will be calling in the future!

Description of Work: Heater stopped working. We have a maintenance agreement with the company. They were on site next day as agreed upon and resolved the issue. Very professional.

Description of Work: The temperature in the house would climb to a certain point even though i set it higher, then it would just stay there. I found out the problem was that there wasn't enough or barely any insulation in the attic of the house im renting. The representative from this company assessed that all equipment was working correctly outside of the furnace being too small to heat the entire house properly and there being no insulation makes it awful when the temperature falls below 40 as it has been.So there ya got it. This took him all of 20 minutes if that to assess. I appreciated that he was on time, courteous, respectful and professional. These are all the things I look for when I need a professionals help. Well that sums it up. Would I use Moncreif again? Yes. Thank you Angie's List.

Description of Work: Great service. We could not be happier. We needed new duct work run for our dryer vent. Was a little expensive for a small job, but the service more than made up for it. I will definitely call them first for our hvac needs in the future.

Description of Work: The A/C fan motor died; he put in a new one immediately as he had a comparable one in the truck. He explained to me about my A/C unit and how it worked. He was pleasant and professional. It was nice to have cool air again.

Description of Work: The company explained their base charges and gave me their schedule of availability. This changed up and down as my tenant complained it didn't work, then it did, so I cancelled with Montclief, and then she said it didn't again. They still accomodated me quickly and they will give you a call to tell you how much before they fix it, and explain the problems and all. They also followed up to make sure you were happy before they actually charged the card. The gal on the phone, Lauren, was very professional and courteous and I heartily recommend this company.

Description of Work: They came out the same day to repair our AC unit. Great customer service with scheduling the visit and responsiveness. The tech was very good and explained every thing he found and had to fix. We are sold on Moncrief and will use them in the future.

Description of Work: On Saturday evening, I discovered that my air conditioning was not working. I called Moncrief, and they sent a technician on Sunday morning at 10:30. He was punctual, polite and got right down to business. Although they did not install the product, I decided to have my service agreement with them instead of the originial vendor. Moncrief calls to set up the appointment and is very proactive. The other firm would send a postcard that it was time for service. The technician diagnosed the problem as a defective blower. They ordered the part, came back to install it on Tuesday, and took the old blower to return as defective to the manufacturer. So, they made two service calls, replaced the blower and did not charge a dime. They're the best!
