Where do I begin? This company is run by complete morons that must not talk to one another. Here is just a short laundry list of issues we have had with them while managing our property:
1: overpriced service calls ($250 to replace a screw and paint a mailbox)
2: The manager, Vic, admitted to me that his employees (Olga) failed to do her job in securing a signed lease for us and then hid it for over a year.
3: The manager, Vic, stated in an email he would return the security deposit to my tenant, but other people in the company sent letters to my tenant saying they gave me the money...they didn't...until 3 weeks later - and they refused to return emails or phone calls
4: I notified meridian that we wanted to pass on a monthly reduction in rent to our tenant if she signed a lease....they refused to contact her
5: I was told for two years that our tenant did not have a signed lease and was living month to month. When it came time to change management companies, the tenant was able to provide a signed lease that she had in place the whole time...the management company never documented it.
6: The owner, Vic, was nice enough to contact me directly, however, when there were problems, he refused to return phone calls or emails and just passed the buck onto one of his employees
7: The manager admitted to me that they have contracted services to individuals working out of South America and they dropped the ball on securing legal documents, but the company never knew about it.
8: We were very clear about the care of our lawn and asked that the information be passed onto the tenant...it never was...and now we have $5000 in damage.
9: The management company constantly blamed the tenant for not paying rent on time...they kept all late fees. They only make deposits to your account twice a month...inconsistently. I had to constantly ask if the tenant paid rent and when it would be disbursed to us. Since we have taken over as landlords, the tenant is always responsive, pays on time and communicates perfectly.
We hired a management company so we would not have to worry about our property. Unfortunately, this company caused more headaches than they were worth. Horrible communication, terrible customer service, no accountability for their actions. DO NOT...DO NOT...DO NOT use this company. You will be sorry.
