Triple Crown Roofing

My husband and I are very pleased with the metal roof that Triple Crown put on our home. We got 3 different quotes, and even though Triple Crown wasn’t the cheapest, we decided to go with them because we’ve been around long enough to know that the cheapest and the best are rarely the same thing. Triple Crown was the only contractor we spoke with who took the time to educate us on the different construction methods for installing a metal roof over shingles and why they prefer to use the batten strip method. Once we had that information, we did our own research (thanks Google) and agreed that was the best application to go with. From start to finish it was evident that Triple Crown does not cut corners on materials, technique, or workmanship. They produce a quality product which they stand behind with an amazing warranty that far exceeded their competitors’ guarantees. When the building inspector from Dade City came out to inspect our finished roof in order to close out the permit, he also spoke highly of the work he regularly sees from Triple Crown. We’re very satisfied knowing that we got a quality roof at a reasonable price, and we couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking for a roofer, we highly recommend this company.

Triple Crown farmed the work out to MJ Gutters of Tampa. The owner came out the day after I contacted them and gave me an estimate. I told him that was acceptable, and they showed up the next morning and completed the removal and reinstallation by noon. They did an excellent job. My neighbors have commented on how good their work looks.

From initial contact to final product, I am so happy and proud of my metal roof! Inspectors have commented on the quality of the roof. Price was good, roofing team was polite, efficient, and organized. The only drawback was the amount of metal I found in the yard after install. I would hire this company again if I purchase another house.

My home is a very unique home which creates challenges when I need work done to my house. Triple Crown Roofing, Zephyrhills, replaced my cedar shake mansard roof with metal that looks like cedar shakes , Country Metal Shake by Classic Metal Roofing. The team, led by Ramon, resolved any unusual obstacles during installation. They were professional, efficient, and cleaned up every evening. I just had my roof replaced from shingles to Metal panels. I decided to go with a new metal roof due to a longer life and Hurricane resistance. I contacted a couple of local metal roofers, and Triple Crown Roofing (813-715-4617). I went with Triple Crown due to their many years of experience with installing metal roofs, and their value-oriented pricing. I got the most bang for my buck with them.... a better roof for a lower price. Their workers were very hard-working and did a great job, The Crew-Leader Ramon was very knowledgeable, and assisted with repairing a "Dead Valley" area that had a previous leak. When it comes time for your shingle roof replacement (mine was 15 years old), I highly recommend that you go with a new metal roof installed by Triple Crown Roofing, Plus they have the longest workmanship guarantee -- 10 years.

Triple Crown Roofing was excellent. They arrived when expected and did excellent work including clean up daily . They were a delight to deal with and I would highly recommend them.

They applied a decking surface to the flat roof. It's a flat roof material that looks like decking. The pricing was reasonable. They were very courteous and professional they did their job and did what I asked them to do. That was great.

I would use them again, and I did.

Excellent! Superb! Triple Crown uses employees, not sub-contractors, and the workers were polite and personable. We asked questions of any of the men and all were knowledgeable and personable. The work was done on time and on budget. We chose a metal roof because T-C's price was very close to the price of a shingle roof, and now I never have to replace the roof again. Our homeowners insurance bill went down by $1010/year because of the metal roof. Our electric bill went down about $60/month. Note that part of that savings came from the installation of a ridge vent. Can't say enough about this company.

When they came out to do the inspection, Leon was very polite and listened to what we wanted. I had to contact the owner of the home by phone, he talked to her and listened to what she wanted. Then he told us they would be back in a couple of days to do the work. Well when he got back to the office he called me and said he would be there friday. which was about 3 days befor he said he could come which was great. They gotthere friday and the materails were not there yet so he sent one of his workers to get some . Then they found out that the truck would not be there till saturday (which was the next day) and asked if that would be ok . and we said sure . So when saturday came the truck had brought the matrials  for the job . and they had it done within a few hours. would have them come out again when i need them . GREAT COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing crew! Mike and his helpers showed up and thoroughly measured and explained all of our options. We were very conflicted on which type of metal style to use. Mike had us go look at several other houses they had done to help us decide. He did a great job explaining all the different types and the installation process. Several of the roofers that I had come to give me an estimate were very dismissive and several even came without any samples. Mike had brochures and samples. Mike and His crew, Ramon and Louis, were great. They were very polite and clean and I enjoyed my interaction with them. They cleaned the work site thoroughly every evening and made sure there not any stray nails.The owner, Leon, came by to check on the work. Rain was threatening so he even helped out! Great company and we will definitely call them to put a roof on our main house.

The entire Triple Crown crew did an outstanding job and took into consideration all of our requests. We had a metal roof which we chose the Colonial Red with brown trim. I would really recommend this company to anyone.We really love our new roof. Thank you so much.
Also want to note that he gives you good options on what he can do for you. My husband wanted the non exposed screws but in the end we went with exposed screws, just because of cost. We are very happy with the results and we don't have to worry about anymore leaks.

This was a big job and a difficult work site. The home is water-front (thus the aluminum) three-stories high, and on stilts, and the roof has a significant pitch to it. They also had some tough (unusually rainy; very windy) weather to deal with during the project. Triple Crown was up for the challenges, faced them head-on, and delivered an excellent, professional, on-time, and within their estimate job. They have since been available to address several minor issues (relocation of a downspout) and are just as responsive after the job as they were during it. I give them my strongest possible recommendation.

This contractor went above and beyond what I expected from them. They were polite, professional, knowledgeable, efficient and honest throughout the entire process, providing exemplary quality services at a very affordable price.
SITUATION: I bought my home in 2010 and it had shingle roofing that was 8 years old and the inspector told me the roof should last 7 more years. I started saving money for a new roof immediately. In April 2014 I noticed that the edges on some of the shingles had started to curl. Rather than wait until the roof started leaking I started to review roofing contractors in the local area. I checked out the BBB ratings, professional memberships, awards, years in business, product and labor warranties, reviews, complaints, etc...of 20 companies in my area. I eliminated 70% of the companies right away.
COMPETITION: I really wanted a metal roof and had gotten several estimates for 47 squares (4700 square feet not including the pump house). The prices I was quoted for the roof were double and triple the cost of what I ended up paying for my roof with the contractor - and those quotes did not include the same high quality of metal OR protective paint OR gutters. Discouraged I got estimates for shingle roofing - a less expensive and durable material - but those quotes ranged from $13,000.00 plus for 10-15 year warranty products to $23,000.00 plus for 20-25 year warrantied shingles. I refused to consider a product only warrantied for 10 years and couldn't quite afford the 20 year warrantied shingles. I even got quotes from Home Depot and Lowes where they give military (and retired military) a 10% discount for materials. However, I found out that since they subcontract the work I am not actually and quot;purchasingand quot; the material from Home Depot or Lowes (they sell to the subcontractor) and thus could not get the discount. What a scam! The prices they quoted were still out of my reach. Discouraged, I decided to continue to save money and pray that the roof would not leak until I had the funding. Fortunately, while I was out I saw one of neighbors had gotten a new roof. Since they were in the yard I stopped to tell them how nice it looked and to ask what company she used and if she was happy with the job. She had wonderful things to say about the business and owner, she told me how he did extra work for her by shortening her carport and how happy she was with the overall job...and the price she paid was great! She said she checked Angie's List (and explained what that was to me) after a friend had recommended Triple Crown Roofing. The owner had given her 15 references and she called and spoke to all of them. At that time I had not checked or considered this company. I later found out that the only advertising the company does is via word-of-mouth. This is a small business who does not subcontract. They fabricate the metal themselves to required specifications (to include downspouts and gutters) which is a savings to the company and they are able to pass this savings to the customer. They also have a bonus program where if a customer likes their work and recommends it to someone else who contracts with his company he sends the person recommending the work a check for $100.00. I immediately went home and researched the company online and was hopeful that the company would be able to meet my budget with a quality product. So I contacted the owner, Leon Nault, who personally came out to measure my home and give me an estimate.
THE ESTIMATE: I really liked the fact that Leon answered all of my questions, gave me a step-by-step explanation of the process, explained the differinces in the quality of the metal gauge roofing and paint products and how long each would last and the warranties for each and did not pressure me into committing. Leon gave me three written estimates of the metal gauge I selected 1) non-painted, 2) standard paint or 3) Kynar paint. I was amazed when the price he quoted me for the best product was $4000.00 less than the 20-25 year shingles cost - and his product lasts decades longer! His original estimate included replacing the gutter over my carport which had come down due to a storm. He also gave me the insulation AT HIS COST with no labor costs to stay within my budget. I asked him if his quote would be good for 90 days since it would take me that long to get the funds together. He agreed. Before he left he took a picture of my house and e-mailed me a weblink so that I could look at the different color roofs on my house. He also offered me references from previous customers and addresses of buildings that had roofed. None of the other contractors I spoke with offered me this information freely!
NEGOTIATIONS; After checking things out with people and looking at the variety of colors for my roof and narrowing down which colors complimented my home, I contacted Leon and told him I was tentatively ready to sign the contract, but 1) would like actual roof samples of specific colors to see the actual product against the house and 2) I wanted to know how much more it would cost to roof my pump house and put the matching gutters on the rest of the house because I would like to include that in the contract, but depending on the additional amount might need to push the work date back another month or so to have the money to pay. He asked me the size of the pump house and I gave him the information and he told me not to worry about additional cost, he would include the rest of the gutters, downspouts and pump house in the original estimate he gave me. He had the metal panels mailed to me within a few days.
CONTRACT: After selecting the roof color, we signed the contract and I paid 50% down. The contract stated that his company would install 1 X 4 wooden battens, gulf rib metal roofing and accessories, insulation, drip, ridge vent, valley rake, chimney flash, gutters and downspouts that were all a matching color, as well as, all labor costs, materials, permits, delivery, dump fees and taxes for my roof and pump house. We scheduled the job.
THE WORK: Leon and his crew of 5 came and spent 5 days to roof my house, pump house and install the gutters. The crew members introduced themselves, were polite, professional, on-time and really paid attention-to-detail to all aspects of the job. In the process of completing the project his crew discovered that the previous contractor had cut costs by putting in substandard ridgeline venting material which did not work well in air flow and energy conservation. This was fixed at no additional cost. Additionally, any wood that was damaged or rotten along the roof edge were removed and replaced at no additional cost. Fortunately, all of the wood on the roof was sound and did not need replacement. The crew was very careful and took steps to protect and not damage my plants and shrubs in the flowerbed around the house. They did an extremely thorough cleanup when they were finished the job. During the work, I made clear that they could use the bathroom in my home and that I would keep iced tea and water out under the carport for them as a courtesy. They protested that this was not necessary, but I insisted as the heat was pretty bad that week. The crew thanked me everyday for the water and tea. The crew worked hard - August in Florida is no joke - and they obviously took pride in their product and work. And it really shows. My roof is absolutely beautiful and I could not be more pleased. I have already received several compliments from neighbors and people driving by the house. I have also noticed that it feels cooler in the house and my cooling unit doesn't come on as often as it did prior to the new roof. It has rained twice since the installation and none of the gutters (or my roof) have leaked.

After much research and multiple estimates, I chose to install a metal roof that seemed best for my situation and Triple Crown Roofing for the installation. Mike, foreman, was very knowledgeable and communicative, explained the pros/cons of metal versus shingle, the company and product used and benefits of insulation in controlling cooling costs. Work was completed in an efficient manner and very pleased with my roof that is both functional and looks sharp! Considering them for installation of matching gutters as well.

He was prompt and professional in providing an estimate, setting the timeframes, and throughout the installation. There were no additional charges, work was completed when he said it would be, and the roof is gorgeous - all the neighbors are stopping by to see it! Leon is a really nice guy, knowledgeable and skilled, with a great team - I wouldn't use anyone else with roofing or aluminum/metal related jobs.
