Dave arrived precisely when scheduled, at 8AM, and phoned me at work (I was not able to be onsite) for details. I did not know how to shut the water off for the property, as the "valves" by the street were rusty, and it was not obvious how to even operate them. I did not know how the water was piped into the house. David explained the pricing to me, and I approved him to work for two hours. Within one hour, Dave phoned to tell me that he located where the pipes entered the house. I authorized him to proceed with the installation and it was completed by 10:30. David even sent me pictures of the completed installation. Very professional and courteous. I would defineately hire Modern Plumbing again, and ask for Dave.

Vinnie Rosa was my tech and felt like my new best friend by the end of the day! Vinnie had come out just to give me an estimate but when he said he would fill any holes made with concrete, I said go ahead. Modern had been recommended by the leak detection specialist. The leak was difficult to pin down and Vinnie worked tirelessly and cheerfully for hours and hours until leak found. He gently advised me that I really needed to re-pipe but he was gracious about it and understood how if you simply can’t afford to do it now, well, you do the best you can. We discussed price and why Modern might be more expensive than previous quote I got, and I was convinced it would be worth it to use Modern once I could afford to have it done. Vinnie fixed my shut off valve so I could actually use it, and we also discussed replacing my disposal. Vinnie is prompt, courteous, professional, skilled (his work is really beautiful!), patient, and, most importantly, nice. Having a stranger in your house all day during a stressful time makes you appreciate niceness more than anything.

The service person, Doug Price, was the consummate professional. He was punctual. He gladly explained each step of the installation process. He even replaced a leaky shut-off valve behind one of the tanks. He carefully and seamlessly caulked around the base of each toilet. He was pleasant, courteous, and cheerful the whole time.

Very good experience with Modern Plumbing, who had to clear a line we just paid to have cleaned one year ago by another company. Modern did not cut corners and did the work through a clean-out access, which hadn't been opened in at least 25 years. But he got it opened, and power cleaned about 50 feet with heavy duty equipment. Yay! We even got a senior discount. Will definitely call them the next time we need any plumbing help, which is fairly often with a 50-year-old house. Ask for Vinny if he's available.

Modern Plumbing did an amazing job with our shower repair. They were the only ones who actually said they could FIX the plumbing instead of simply replacing it (like other plumber estimates). Saved us a lot of time and trouble, and the cost of the service was very reasonable. Very professional. The shower is working well to this day! We will definitely hire again for our future plumbing needs! Thank you!

David, my professional plumber, was on-time for the scheduled appointment. He was very respectful of our house. He assessed the cost of all the things that I wanted completed...along with giving me a price option for each task to have completed. We had already purchased the water heater from Home Depot. David kept us well informed throughout the repair process. He just had to take out old unit, and replace it with new unit. I also had him replace the faucets for the hot and cold water for the washer...once unhooked, the water continues to run, unable to be turned off, so I wanted them replaced. Also, he repaired the leaking water faucet on the exterior, outside the garage. He repaired the leaking water main into the house...which was a tough task within itself. Once completed, he completed a walk-through throughout our house to assess other opportunities, along with recommendations. He was very engaged in saving us costly repairs, as well as ensuring everything was working as efficiently as possible. I was very pleased the finished service...now, I could sleep a whole lot better. I would definitely recommend this company for all of your plumbing needs.

We were having the problem in only one bathroom so because they couldn't come out until Monday wasn't a big issue. David showed up promptly as promised and surveyed the issue. He felt the problem was not with the bathroom, but rather the drain line to/from the sewer pipe going to the city. He scoped the line to the street & the scope revealed that a recent back up had occurred & in his opinion felt this had been the cause of our problem. David was very professional, courteous and someone who easily related to the consumer. A good plumbing experience!!!

Yes, he fixed the leak in the handles (yay!), BUT should a 1/2 hour job cost $309? I think not. The 10% Angies' discount was a joke on this overcharge (final price: $278). I questioned the plumber about the companies pricing policy and what amounted to (in my opinion) a serious overcharge for a simple job compared to other plumbers we've worked with in the past. He said the company has the discretion to charge either by the job or the hour. If you're older, like us (husband in 80s), better hold onto your wallet and find a company which isn't looking to take advantage of elderly people.

Thurs. December 20, 2018 Modern Plumbing responded within minutes of submitting my e-mail. A tech appointment was made for the next day. Fri. December 21, 2018 Appointment window was 2pm-5pm. Tech (name of Abel) arrived at 2:30pm. Due to Christmas being in a matter of days other companies I had contacted were unavailable until after Christmas. I expected to hear the same from Modern Plumbing. I was preparing to secure hotel accommodations to tie me over until then. Abel said he had a 40 gal electric water heater in his truck. He could install it immediately, or come back on Monday. I was overjoyed! Abel installed a new water heater. The work done is impressive. And I had hot water that evening. I am still smiling from the experience. Woo-hoo!

Shane diagnosed the problem quickly ; he showed me the debris in the pipes and cleaned the debris from the pipes. The company was prompt in scheduling an appointment to do the repair and Shane showed up well within his 3 hour appointment window. The company honored the 10% Angie's List discount coupon.

Found a clog in pipe leading to leaking in one toilet and other toilet not flushing. Toilet in hall had to be removed to clear blockage, then replaced.

They did a great job. I have never worked with such a professional company. They were detail-oriented, efficient, trustworthy and responsive to my concerns. From the time I called to when I met up with Jason, everything was spot on in terms of professionalism. My toilet was leaking from the bottom because the person who installed the toilet did so on an old rotten metal flange and the wax ring didn't even touch the toilet which led the toilet to not sit on the floor properly and it leaked badly. I called MPI first thing in the AM on a monday and they had someone at my house a few hours later. The reviews are true and I hope MPI doesn't change how they operate, because they definitely my go to company for any future plumbing needs.

Job went well. Both items were addressed after review of the provided onsite quote. They also accepted Angie's List discount on the services rendered. The technician was on time and performed both repairs. He also replaced the parts with far superior items (metal shutoff valve vs cheap plastic that was originally installed and a hose bib that is easily replaceable vs old one he had to cut off). He also made sure to clean up after the repair work. He was very friendly and didnt mind answering my questions as he worked. The price was a little higher then another quote I got, but being able to come the next day was a fair trade off. I will definitely consider getting quotes from Modern Plumbing for future work.

Excellent! James came just to give me an estimate. The price seemed fair and he told me ways to get the jobs done with discount. I felt I could trust him so had the work done there and then. The work was done to a high standard. James gave me info on other things to do with maintenance on the house. I would definitely use this company again.
