Mark Long is a master plumber. He is able to do plumbing repairs and installations that other plumbers cannot do. He is knowledgeable, pleasant and prompt. I have since hired him to do several different jobs in several of my rental properties in addition to my own home.

Mark Long and his crew were awesome! They arrived promptly, were fast in the repair, extremely professional and cleaned up beautifully when they were done. They also recommended a fantastic drywall man to replace the ceiling that was damaged by the leak. We are very happy all the way around. We highly recommend them!

A very good friend of mine found himself in a desperate situation with a major plumbing issue recently. There was a leak in his water main, and he was unable to pay for services. Both of his parents had passed away over the past 3 months, and he is unemployed and about to have his childhood family home taken away from him. Denise and Mark were contacted to see if they could offer some assistance. Mark and his team arrived at my friend's house in an hour and assisted him, even giving him parts that he would need, all free of charge, all from the goodness in their hearts. They saw a man in need and they responded, without question or hesitation. We are forever grateful. Forever.

It didn't. Mark Long Sr. let me know the night before he would be at my house around 10am". At 10:15am he calls to let me know he is leaving then. Since he's already 15 minutes behind schedule and still has to drive to my house, this puts me behind schedule with my own job. I tell him I can;t do it now and we need to reschedule at his convenience. He gets defensive and starts getting loud telling me that he has to finish jobs before mine which I agree with but I can't stay and wait longer than. I politely ask him to reschedule me at his convenience and he shouts something and HANGS UP on me. CLAIMS HE MAKES THAT AREN'T TRUE: 1) He DOES charge to travel . $50 to drive from Winter Park to Apopka 2) No surprises. Well the quoted charge for driving after the original quote submitted was a "surprise" as was the additional $60 "if we have to go into the wall". I will say his son and his wife were friendly and helpful but if you have to deal with Mark Sr....go with another company. BTW, I have posted some of the emails to show anyone who'd like to see them when it comes to his promises and whether he keeps them or not. YES...I'm posting this because I'm mad...but rightly so....this guy treated me with the kind of disrespect that no business owner ever has. He doesn't care about your time or being professional so you have been warned.

Mark did a great job. His price was exactly what he quoted even though I think the work took longer than he expected because of how corroded the drain was. He also recommended that I replace the water shutoff valves on the water heater because the plastic one's installed were on the verge of breaking.

Nice friendly guys called upon arrival, jumped right in to getting the job done. Replaced leaking hose bib and did it in a timely manner. Will have them back for future projects that arise.

Late Thursday night we found out our Moen kitchen faucet was leaking at the handle. There was a bucket full of water under the sink and also water had infiltrated the bottom of the cabinet and floor behind the kitchen bar (against the sink). We looked up plumbing services on Angie's list and the only A rate service opened that late was Longs. I called him ready to accept whatever emergency service would cost. However, he just told us to turn off water and call Moen for replacement parts so he could fix it for cheaper than buying new parts. Or another option would be buy another faucet. I was surprised because he asked for a picture on the phone, and advised us on the spot, when usually we have to pay 100 just to have people come out to look. I understand some ppl would have the presence of mind to call Moen first, but when water was pouring out of cabinets, and carpets are wet, ppl usually panic and that's when crooks take advantage. I called Moen today, and they sent a document with instructions on how to fix the problem. It turned out it was a quick fix. So far. If we have further problems, I will definitely call Mark again. So, for 0 dollars, we had professional advice and our problem was solved. He could have come out, popped a few screws out, tighten the bolt, and charged 150+, and we would know no better. Honesty and common courtesy are virtues no money can buy!

The guys (Mark & Mark) were great! Even thought the job before mine turned into a much larger job than mine, they still kept my appointment instead of rescheduling. Seeing that they weren't able to get to my house until 6:15 pm I really appreciated them not rescheduling. Once determining the cause of the leaks I was experiencing, they explained to me what needed to be done to fix them. They also told me about how the plumbing under my sink was done wrong and that replacing it would be expensive, but not necessary to fix the leaks. I appreciated their honesty and just not telling me it needed to be done. They did the work in a timely fashion, explained why the bill was $15 more than they originally quoted, and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely call them again in the future!

They called about two hours before they were scheduled to be here and said they could get here early because of a cancellation. +1. Actually got here early. +2. Asked good questions and inspected areas of possible trouble (I had called because two toilets in two bathrooms weren't completely flushing- both relatively new.) Found the problem quickly and had the drain cleaned out within 20 minutes without having to go up on the roof. As he was finishing, he commented that it looked like it might not be entirely my problem- it seemed that the issue had started very close to, if not withing the domain of the city. He offered his services if needed, but encouraged me to have the city check it out. If they refused, he'd come back. He then wrote up a nicely detailed description of what he thought the problem was on the receipt. +3 When I called the city, I just read that portion of his diagnosis to them and, unlike myself, they understood what it meant. They sent someone out almost immediately. After they put a camera down the pipe and found exactly what Long's said they would, they said they would fix it. When I asked if this could have caused my draining issue, he said he was sure it was. I asked if the city would pay the bill. He said yes. I gave him the original after making a copy and was assured I'd be reimbursed. I'm extremely happy with that outcome. Although Long's wasn't the cheapest, their quick and professional service and quality advice was well worth it. Next time they come by, that guy gets a nice tip.

They were able to come out the day after making the appointment. ie. made the appointment on Tuesday for them to come to the house on Wednesday. The original appointment was for at 9 AM, however at around 10 AM I did receive a call saying someone had an emergency visit and that they would be at my home in around 30 minutes. I wished the phone call would have came a little earlier then an hour after they were supposed to be here, I could have gotten a little more sleep. They arrived at the home around 10:30 introduced themselves and went straight to business inspecting under the kitchen sink, the job itself took around 45 minutes to an hour to be completed, and they made sure nothing was leaking anymore before finishing up the job. We are very happy with the way the piping looks under the sink now, more organized and bracketed to the wall. Anytime I need any plumbing services done in the future I will be contacting Longs.

It went marvelously. Mr. Long showed up at our scheduled appointment. He was friendly. We talked to him about our problem with the drain. He went to work, taking extra care of his equipment on our roof. He promptly did the job. Insured the drain was working. Mr. Long and his assistant gathered up their equipment and latter, wrote us a receipt, and left. We appreciated his professional, friendly attitude. We will call Long' s Certified Plumbing the next time we need a plumber.

I could not be more pleased by the entire experience. Mark Long and his entire crew were amazing. Repiping a house is a major undertaking and they made every effort to make sure the impact was as minimal as possible since I was living in the house while the work was being done. They worked around my schedule and were always on time. The drywall repair team they hired and painter they recommended were top notch. Even the permit inspector said they did a nice job! The prices were reasonable as well. I am very satisfied and would strongly recommend Long's Certified Plumbing.

Purchased the 1 hr of plumbing services from Angies. They performed the work in a fast and professional manner. Great work and the price was right!!! 100% would use and recommend them again.

Stayed within budget and schedule. Did outstanding work on demo, cleanup, tiling, electrical, wallboarding, painting, glass enclosure preparation.

Mark was great! He showed up within an hour on a Saturday morning and fixed everything right up! He was very professional and friendly. We would definitely use him in the future.

The work went extremely well and had unexpected benefits. First, Mark advised me that the cutoff valves at the water meters were not fully cutting off water to the house and that the utilities company should be notified to fix that problem. I did. Second, the new faucet was professionally installed. Third, the supply valves under the sink no longer fully closed effectively. This caused a minor leak during the installation which was fully contained and cleaned up. Mark replaced the valves at minimal cost. He also pointed out that the plumber who did the initial plumbing of the sink had not properly installed the drain line with the negative gradient required but with a very slight positive gradient which inhibited proper draining from the sinks. I had noticed the slow drainage for many years. He said this didn't need immediate response but had in the past caused some problem with the drain pipe joints leaking and would continue to do so. He cleaned up and tightened up the joints during his work. He suggested that I add fixing the drain line gradient to a future wish list. In all, I was extremely impressed with the thoroughness of the work.

First they said it would be $100, but after about 15 minutes they said they needed to go and get a longer snake, (you think they would have more than one size on the truck). Going and getting the longer snake apparently cost considerably more. In the end our bill was three times the amount they quoted, just to unclog a drain. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company. EDIT: After posting this review I have received numerous calls and emails from this service provider, the calls an emails range from passive aggression to out right bribery. I was warned that if I did not change my review this provider would " Do whatever is necessary" to protect his company's good name. In another email I was offered $100 to change my review, then I received a follow up email, (after I had stated that I did not want him or his company contacting me) the follow up email let me know that I am just "A customer that will never be happy". I did attempt to call this service provider and work this out like adults, but I never got past the very combative receptionist. I have contacted the good folks at Angie's List and gave them copies of the emails and they will handle matters from here on. Bottom line; Just because a company is listed on a referral site it does not guaranty that the company will understand the importance of their spoken word, or the integrity expected when trusted with working on a family's home. Also, I want to add that 100% of the plumbing in our home, all the way to the city connection, was replaced a few years back when we renovated.

Long's Plumbing (and owner Mark Long) provides great value and a wealth of experience. Have used them before when they serviced our landlords and have continued to have good experiences with them. Mark can be a little gruff but he knows his stuff. I'd recommend them without reservation.

Mark arranged for all the people we needed to get the job done. The old bathrooms were torn out, the carpenter to put in new supports for the shower and the tile people to do the tile. He kept us informed all the way and was extremely patient with our many, many questions and concerns. He even saw to it that the other vendors did their part right as well. The wife and I were very pleased. I would recommend Mark and his team anytime.

He was recommended by 4 of my neighbors. He was very good. He was a master plumber. They were absolutely excellent. They got the work done. I had a schedule. I couldn't be happier. The price was very fair. I got higher prices from the other Angie's List companies. Then, I went for a local guy here and they were a bit higher. He did everything and even told me where we could save money. He's definitely an A person. I would absolutely use them in the future. When I am looking for somebody in the list, this guy had stellar reviews from neighbors.

Mr. Long showed his contracting skills on this job. We started from scratch after a complete demolition, literally concrete floor and wood wall-studs. Of course, Mark did all the plumbing but contracted the vanity (granite-top), all tile work, new electrical, and new walls and paint. He helped us choose new fixtures and explained why one brand was better than another. Since he used sub-contractors before, he was able to get us very favorable labor and material prices. The work was on schedule with no mishaps. Mark suggested we put a light in the shower stall which we did not have before and we are well pleased with this idea. The shower enclosure supplier warned that all walls had to be perfectly square or the extra work to fit the glass would be expensive. Mark made sure everything was square and called out the installers prior to ordering the glass to check themselves before final measurement was taken. Mark also suggested a automatic timer be installed on our vent-fan. This idea has helped keep moisture and odor out but automatically shuts off after selected time is chosen. We are extremely pleased with the remodel. We have created a much more user-friendly, space-conscious, and efficient bathroom area. We are ready to call Mark for our next project (the master bathroom).
