When I was looking to put new windows in my home, I found no companies that had great ratings. I chose FAS because their reviews seemed not as bad as some of the other companies. But their reviews were not great either. Lessons learned here – bad is bad. I ordered my windows in October of 2020. I knew at that time it would be January 15,, 2021 before the 2 sets of sliders and 4 windows arrived. So the week of January 15 they came out to install them only to find out that someone in the office changed the measurements on one of the sets of sliders and so the wrong doors were delivered. Now I waited over 15 weeks for these doors. After the sales call they sent a production person out to get the exact measurements. You would think they would have some type of pull to get a rush order for these doors. In the meantime, while waiting for the second set of doors we noticed the one set that was installed had marks all over the glass on the inside and couldn’t be cleaned. When we told FAS they said they would have to order new glass. Another 15-week order!!! Melissa was my Project Manager. She was useless. She never picked up the phone and never returned my calls. The new 2nd set of doors were not installed till mid-May. When the first set of doors were installed, they had to change the inside moldings around the doors by going to Home Depot to pick some up, because they don’t have it on the truck. I told Melissa to make sure they picked up the same molding before they came with the second door. She had me send her pictures of the molding. On installation day of the new set of doors they were to arrive between 8-9 am. They arrived at 10:30 to remove the old door but the doors did not arrive with the other driver till 1:30. When I asked about the molding I was told “Oh, no one told us that.” So, they had to go to Home Depot. Then they didn’t have caulk and had to wait for the next guy to get there. Shouldn’t window guys have caulking on the truck? Then they realized they didn’t have penny nails for the molding and had to go to Home Depot yet again!! There is no communication within the company and little to no communication once you place your order. After the first install, I asked for compensation for my trouble since it was their fault. They said they wouldn’t even discuss it till the job was complete. Really? At that point they have you over a barrel and you are at their mercy. They ended up giving me 10% off my remaining balance but the aggravation they put me through was not worth it. After the install was completed they had to come out 3 more times to fix the sliders because they leaked water around them. Buyer beware before doing business with FAS.

FAS was great to deal with from measuring, selecting and ordering the right product, and then the install. I am beyond thrilled with my new entryway doors with the decorative glass. It has enhanced the look of my entire house, both inside and out. FAS will not be the inexpensive option, but you go to them for the quality of the products, and then the excellent customer service and support. Go read some of the horror stories of door installs by the big box stores and you will see.

I got many quotes on this. They had the best price and the best windows. I really liked my salesman Steve Ockerman. He was knowledgable and he responded quickly. My project Manager Tammy was not very good. She barley would respond to me. The Salesman did which is why they still got an A. My salesman helped me with the energy rebate and pretty much everything. Everyone else was very good. One of the door panels came with a mark on it. It was replaced with out me saying anything. The crew that put them in was excellent as was the crew that fixed the door. I love the double hung windows. The second runner up had the lower grade Simonton window for more money. I also liked their sliding glass doors better. I asked a lot of questions and Steve the sale man was very helpful and patient. This is still a lot of money for me and I took my time on the order. Several of my neighbors had gone to them and loved them as well. This made a big difference in my house. Love the new windows and doors.

We upgrade our 11 windows in all the bedrooms due to the noisy cased by the planes. They did great job, fast and efficient. All the windows are installed nicely and they also give us advices on how to taking care of them when finished the job.

On October 23, 2019, I placed an order for 7 PGT impact windows with a sales representative who was courteous and very helpful. I was told that I would be getting the windows around early December 2018 and, perhaps, even sooner. Since I had not received the windows by the end of December, nor had I received a courtesy call from FAS, I sent a text message and subsequently an email requesting an update. Since I did not get a response, I followed up with numerous phone calls for a period of over a month. Every time I spoke with someone from the company, I was told that a company rep would be reaching out to me - which never occurred. I finally got ahold of a supervisor, who was very professional, and within 24 hours I received my windows. My order took close to four months to be completed. I understand that sometimes mistakes are made with orders, but periodically the client needs to be informed and updated on the status of his/her order. It is just good customer service to do so. FAS failed me in this respect.

We were very pleased with the whole process. The FAS Sales rep, Stuart, was very professional, helpful and friendly. With Stuart, we went through three rounds of quotes, as we worked together to optimize the window and door package to suit our needs. Stuart was always very prompt in his responses. Once we settled on the quote, another FAS rep, the “tight measure tech”, came to the house to finalize the measurements from Stuart’s preliminaries. Suzanne, the FAS project coordinator, kept us apprised of the fabrication status, and was responsive in setting a mutually agreeable install schedule. Finally, we were very pleased with the installation job led by Mike. Even though Mike was on his own for a couple of days due to his assistant’s illness, the whole package went in on schedule. Mike worked efficiently and always maintained a cheerful, friendly, yet professional demeanor, even as the afternoon rains fell.

We replaced 16 old, metal frame, single pane windows, windows with new vinyl, double pane windows. From the sales meeting, to follow-ups and installation, the entire process went smoothly. The FAS staff we worked with were all knowledgeable and professional. Together, they worked like a well oiled machine. The installers Chris and Don did an awesome job and kept the area safe and clean. I would definitely recommend this company for your window needs.

Frank explained that all we really needed was for them to be repaired. He also took his time going above and beyond, showing us what needed to be done to keep them from leaking. We really appreciated his honesty and are happy we can keep the original casement windows and hardware. They are part of the charm of our old house! We will definitely recommend Frank and FAS to friends and family. Very pleased with our experience!

Salesman would not honor the Angies list coupon, he claimed his quote program automatically adds whatever is the best deal being offered- even though the quote did not show any discount. The quote showed 5500 Reflections Windows which I researched as a good product. But when I was finalizing the deal, he pointed out that I was actually getting a different less expensive window from CWS but his quote program can’t show that. He then added $150 to the quote when I said I was going to pay with credit card. Despite all this, I went with FAS because of the good reviews on Angies List. The 2 days they wanted to schedule the install, I told them I had to leave by 11am on the second day and they said no problem. I was dismayed there was only 2 installers and they only worked from around 9am to 2pm the first day. Then of course on the second day they barely finished and still had work to do outside when I had to leave. So I had to quickly sign all the paperwork without really checking anything. The installers did show me one of the single hung window sash was bent and a new one would have to be ordered. When I got back home, the windows were not even cleaned and the installers left a bit of a mess. On a few of the windows, I had to cut excess caulk out so the screens could slide in place properly. And the slider windows wouldn’t close properly because the latches would not catch. So when a guy came to replace the window with the bent sash, I showed him the problem. He replaced several latches that weren’t working. But many windows still wouldn’t close properly. He showed me how the windows rocked in place and he said someone would have to install some kind of stabilizing slider in the top to hold them securely in place. A couple months later and finally a couple guys came out from CWS. They said the previous guy from FAS didn’t know what he was talking about and there is no slider bar to install. They said the installers didn’t install some of the windows level and that’s part of the problem. They adjusted all the latches and they sprayed tons of lubricant on the windows. They said I have to hold one side and slam them shut. After all that hassle, I like the way the windows look and I am used to how they “work”. With some of the sliders only one latch will catch, but I figure that’s good enough. The double hung windows work great.

FAS replaced all 18 of our houses windows, and installed a new patio door. Workers were punctual, worked diligently, and did an excellent job! One of the windows came from the manufacturer with a minor fault, and FAS worked quickly to get it fixed without us even asking. We are extremely happy.

We had them come out right after we moved in and then they put the windows in sometimes in the middle of February. They are very dependable, very prompt and very polite.  We had used them before in Orlando so I knew about what it was going to be. I always feel (the price) is high, but I would say it is in line as far as I know. I didn't really price too many people because I like them. They also did windows at a house we had in Orlando. Everybody was good. I like their windows and the sales guy was very professional, very knowledgeable and his demonstration was very good, showing us the windows and stuff like that. I had heard their ad on the radio and I just felt comfortable. Knowing the people on the radio and stuff like that that I have listened to for a long time I felt I could trust them and I did.

We selected them on reputation and were happy to see that they turned in the lowest bid of the three we received. The guys who did the job, Robin and Jason, were professional, worked great as a team, cleaned up after themselves, and were easy to have in and around the house for the day and a half it took them to remove old and install new windows. We would use FAS again and recommend them to our neighbors and friends.
