Sheila Konietzky, the sales person and designer from California Closets, began meeting with us in January 2013. She designed the closet furnishings with some idea of what we wanted. All the closets came out well but two rooms were spectacular. One was a large master bedroom closet. We are downsizing so this was especially helpful as we make the move from Tampa. The closet had unusual angles and required a custom design. A second room that also took some special attention was our laundry room We were working around electrical panel boxes, Internet connectors, a washer and a dryer, and a Euro cave wine storage unit. Sheila figured out where the cabinets needed to go and a shelf that held the electronics. Everything was installed in March. The installers were excellent. They were very professional and came back a third day when something didn't fit their liking. California Closets are not cheap but we will look at these closets and use them every day we are there. My wife believes the money we paid is worth it. She is happy and that is most important.

We've recommended them to a friend who is using them as well. They did a super job and the follow-up was great. The process from start to finish was delightful. The installers worked very hard and finished the job in about a day and left the workspace very clean. They were superb. The estimated cost was spot on with the final cost.

They built and installed my husband's closet which included filing cabinets, a hanging area and shelving. In my closet, they built a set of drawers and shoe racks and a laundry hamper. I've used them before for a different house. There was one mistake and they fixed it promptly. I am truly sold on California Closets. Their people are nice. The gentlemen who have moved my studio space to a new studio space were among the best I've ever worked with. They're wonderful and stand behind their work. I'll be using them again in the future. I've recommended their services to others.

The customer service is simply awful. The salesperson was nice and helpful when we were shopping around for a closet system but after we chose California Closet, we became a very low priority. An installation date was set timely but the installer, who was very nice and professional, did not have the doors and some of the crown molding was flawed. He installed what he could and told me that the salesperson would be in touch to schedule a completion date. After waiting two weeks with no word, I contacted the sales person and we agreed on a completion date with the installer to arrive between 2:00 - 4:00 pm. I took that afternoon off from work and the installer was a no show.
The installer did leave me a voice mail around 5:00 pm that evening explaining that his previous job had run late. I called him back the next day and he put me in touch with someone to schedule another completion date. We arranged a date with an arrival time between 9:00 - 10:00 am. My wife stayed home from work that morning and, when nobody showed up by 10:00 she called to cancel so she could get to work. Nobody followed up with us after that so the next week I contacted our salesperson via e-mail and asked for yet another completion date. A scheduling person did contact me after that and arranged a date the following week. The installer showed up and installed the doors, but he did not have enough crown molding to finish the job. He told my wife that he would try to get back the same day but did not do so. That was one week ago and, of course, we have not heard from anybody at California closet about yet another completion date.
It has now been almost 7 weeks since our original installation date and the job remains unfinished and, once again, we feel as though they have forgotten about us. I will have to contact them to arrange yet another completion date and take time off from work (this will be the 5th appointment so far). They have nevertheless billed me for 90% of the project price. There are many other closet companies inthe Orlando area that I am sure would be more respnsive to a customer's needs. I cannot recommend this company.
I do have to say that the quality of the product that has thus far been installed is fine. The customer service, however, has been atrocious.

California Closets came out and gave a very professional estimate. Sheila was great to work with and had a lot of good ideas. The office was very accomodating when I had to reschedule a couple of times.
Installation was quick and efficiant. Sheila followed up and when we discovered I was accidentally given tie-racks instead of belt racks, she had tehm replaced promptly and at no charge.

We were in the transition of moving from NC to FL and timing was crucial. When I made the appointment I gave them our timeframe and they completely worked with our schedule. Andrew, sales professional came out, took measurements, and within a half hour had a digital presentation of exactly what our closets would look like at completion. Within a few short days, the installer came out as promised and worked diligently to finish before our furniture arrived. He was also very professional and made sure I was completely satisfied with his work. Before Andrew left, we actually discussed future plans for laundry room cabinetry and I will contact them in a few months for this to be completed. I believe this company has a high price point for their products, but undoubtedly, the end product and workmanship is excellent.

I called California Closets after reviewing previous reports on Angie's List. Roxanne came out to offer suggestions based on what we wanted to do. She measured the closets and after we agreed to the price, she called the office to schedule an installation appointment; approx two weeks later. Prior to the actual installation, Roxanne came by to re-measure the closets, just to be sure.
Prior to the installation, we had to remove all existing shelving and supports down to the wallboard. To have the company do it cost an additional $225.00.
Nick, the installer came at 9:30 and finished about four hours later. He did excellent work and is a longtime employee of California Closets.
The company is expert at what they do and we highly recommend them.

They are a very personable, yet professional company. They have been out over a couple months to finish this big job. Roxanne, the designer, has been awesome because she knows what she is doing and is also very professional. Nick, the builder, is knowledgable and able to fix and build many things. The owners are also very professional, personable, and knowledgable, Mike and Loyda. This is the second time I have used them and will continute to use them in the future.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB! I HAD A GREAT REPRESENTATIVE (ROXANNE) WHO EVEN HELPED ME COMPARISON SHOP AND FIND THE BEST CLOSET FOR MY NEEDS. SHE MEASURED AND IT WAS PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED IN A DAY. THERE WERE CHOICES OF COLORS AND STYLES.
