Reedy Plumbing of Wimauma, FL It is a fact; you cannot go wrong if you hire Reedy Plumbing for your plumbing work! Besides their professionalism in all aspects of the task to be completed (pre-inspection, work setup, work accomplishment, work cleanup, and educating the customer on work accomplished and preventative maintenance suggestions), as demonstrated by Clint and Josh Paskert in our home today the other significant issue is cost. Because of the situation at the time of our incident we had a different company doing work because we tried for this year the type of contract where all three areas (A/C, Plumbing, Electrical) are covered by one organization. When we received the estimate for the work that was needed it was $973 and while we are not plumbers and after a horrible night of sleep we came to the conclusion that the price was way to high especially given the worker (singular) advised he will be creating holes in our dry wall and will not be repairing those holes as part of his organizations quoted price. Due to Reedy Plumbing’s excellent reputation in our neighborhood and having used Reedy in years past I called Mr. Paskert, explained the situation, and received a quote, which included dry wall repair, if needed, that was $473.00 less than the quote from the other company. Also, Reedy was sending two technicians to get the job done with minimal damage (turned out to be NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER) to our dry wall. The lesson learned, if you find a company that is not only professional but does not enhance the cost of doing business because they can, it is best in the long run to stick with that type of organization as it appears the type of companies that provide all three tasks in this case, based on our experiences to-date, get you coming and going as far as your wallet is concerned. Our initial contact with Reedy Plumbing was in December 2015 when Reedy Plumbing responded to our need for an emergency reroute of our main water line. At that time, we had heard of Reedy Plumbing’s Annual Maintenance/Service Contract and asked about it. Brian Paskert/Lead Technician on the reroute had noted our house had just finished being remodeled (kitchen, bar area, master bath, and guest bath) and advised while we could get the Annual Maintenance Service Contract that given the recent house upgrade it would not be advantageous to us given the newness of our primary plumbing system. Based on Mr. Paskert’s honesty, we decided that when time had passed, we would reengage with Reedy Plumbing. In May of 2021 disaster struck when our water pressure on our house water line and sprinkler/outside faucet water line dropped significantly. After excellent assistance from the Hillsborough Water Utility the cause was determined to be our problem and we decided to contact Reedy Plumbing to not only fix the water pressure issue but to activate the Annual Maintenance Service Contract. May 19, 2021, Mr. Clint Paskert conduct an in-depth plumbing inspection of our entire home and activated the Maintenance/Service Contract. Reedy Plumbing’s Clint Paskert along with two apprentice plumbers Jason and Andrew on June 7, 2021, came to our home to verify the trouble shooting we had done with Mr. Tom Jackson of the Hillsborough Water Utility. The results of that work including fixing the water pressure issue and fixing the eight areas of improvement, which the labor was covered under the Service/Maintenance Contract and parts were at a reduced cost but also identified a major code-violation in the plumbing of the kitchen sink and provided a detailed estimate of work and cost to fix the code-violation, which if we wanted to sell our home, it had to be fixed. During this work visit the organization, the work ethic, and team communication observed was outstanding. As well all work areas were protected and then left as clean or cleaner than before the work started. We accepted the estimate for the code-violation work and on June 22, 2021, Mr. Clint Paskert and apprentice Andrew arrived to tackle the code-violation plus two other items we had requested to be addressed. Given the cabinets were newly installed in 2015 and were high-end cabinetry Mr. Paskert who had to go through the back of the cabinets, chip into a concrete wall with the intent of not disturbing the sheet rock on the opposite side in the dinning room, find the section of pipe that technically was too high thereby causing the code violation, remove that section, and then install the proper pipping so that the drainage was up to existing code requirements. Total success was achieved, and a minimal amount of damage was done to the cabinetry in the ‘back’ of the cabinet that is not visible and the sheet rock/paint on the opposite side was not disturbed in any way, shape, or form. During the entire process, with the assistance of apprentice Andrew, the work was slow and meticulous, the work area was kept clear of debris by stopping work and removing the debris, reexamine the work area to determine where the pipping was (remember there is no As-built drawing showing how and exactly where the pipping was running…); however, that was overcome by Mr. Paskert’s lifetime experience in this line of work and the removal of the concrete wall was minimal and the problem was fixed. Mr. Paskert advised us that while the problem was fixed, he was coming back to make the area that was chipped away cosmetically correct. Mr. Paskert and apprentice Andrew then completed the two additional plumbing requests that we had made and as before, left the work areas as clean or cleaner that when they started. It is rather simple, Reedy Plumbing’s Clint Paskert and the two apprentice plumbers Andrew and Jason are the definition of Professionals! Besides their expertise the friendly approach the take with their clients is equally as noteworthy; they make you feel that this is their property and that it is important to make sure everything looks and works as designed. For as long as we own this property and then when we leave it to our children, we will have the Annual Maintenance Service Contract with Reedy Plumbing so that IF there are any plumbing issues in the future, we know they will be addressed quickly, professionally, and like it was their own property.

Mr. Albert Rhoades arrived at the house; we gave him an overview of our plumbing in the house to include work done since our purchase in 2013. Mr. Rhoades remembered that he was part of the Reedy Team that did the main water reroute in our home when a problem was discovered during the new lanai installation. Mr. Rhoades suspected that the resin system in our current water softener had gone bad, we investigated both toilet bowls and verified his suspicion. After temporarily taking the water softener out of our system, we tested the water pressure which at once went back to its original state. This entire process took approximately 20 minutes. We were offered three solutions: 1: remove the water softener from our system thereby having hard water for everything we do, 2: rebuild our existing water softener, or 3: buy a new water softener. After further discussion to include reviewing the recent installation of our single lane salt water heated lap pool, a problem we had with the water balance of the pool, and the corrective action we took which included putting 5,000 gallons (at one time) of water that was in fact going through our water softener coupled with other previous uses of the two outdoor water sources that use the soft water we determined putting 5,000 gallons of soft water into the pool is what finally did in the resin portion of our existing water softener. Besides ordering a new water softener we also determined several corrective actions involving two of our four outdoor water sources. Mr. Rhoades disconnected our system, rebuilt part of the associated valve system so that it would not leak while we wait for the arrival of a Florida produced water softener, which is expected no later than Tuesday/29 October 2019. Mr. Rhoades was spot on in determining the problem, came up with a temporary fix action so that we could have the proper water pressure, gave us tips on other areas to check to insure no damage to other appliances that use water, placed the order for the new water softener, and cleaned up the work site all in a totally Professional and Friendly manner - very impressive. It should be noted that Mr. Rhoades is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, served in Iraq, and showed the work ethics that were instilled in him while in the Corps.

Reedy had to special order the tankless hot water tank that I requested. It took a week for it to come in and another 4 days before Reedy could install it. Unfortunately my existing tankless system stopped working late Friday 3 days before Christmas. Between Christmas and New Years holidays, it was 11 days before my wife and I had hot water again. It was no fault of Reedy. Reedy said that the service man (Clint) would be out at 1330 hours. He arrived around 1445. He said the prior job took longer than expected and he apologized. He said, "I'll make sure you have hot water before I leave today." He worked until 2000 hours and true to his word we had hot water again. Clint was a true professional the entire time. He set up the control panel and made sure we understood how the new upgraded system worked. He worked outside almost the entire time in windy 45 degrees as well as sometimes rainy weather. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the job Reedy did. We would definitely hire again.

The worker came on time to give me an estimate. However, this worker totally exaggerated the amount of time and price of what this job should cost. The worker stated it would require several hours to remove the glue on the kitchen sink and underneath the counter top in order to re-install the sink. I was given an estimate of $750 for 5 hours of work. Actuality, I gave this project to a different contractor ie. Joseph Collette LLC. This company charged me only $270 for less than three hours of work it required to fix the sink. Most galling was that this person needed only about a half hour of work to remove the glue from the kitchen sink and counter top. The work was done very well by Joesph Collette LLC I felt that Reedy Plumbing greatly exaggerated the time and price that was actually needed to repair this project and do not recommend this company.

Not well. The only good aspects were that the company was responsive to my call, and the plumbers were punctual.
Two young plumbers arrived. They listened to the history of damp carpet occasionally developing under a plastic chair protector in a small room for the past month, felt the carpet for dampness, checked the water meter for a leak indication, and announce that we did indeed have an under slab leak. They said that we would need another company to find the actual leak, which was flowing under the slab to a crack under the chair protector location. Then they would be able to dig a hole in the slab and repair the broken pipe, if they could get to it. However, they emphasized that one break would likely be followed by another, but no one could say when. They then proceeded to try to convince me that the best course of action would be to re-plumb the house at a cost of $12,250; including floor tile and wall board repair. We were not charged for a service call because they said they considered the visit a and quot;re-plumb estimate.and quot; I thanked them and said I would think about it. I know a hustle when I see it, so I immediately called another plumbing company with excellent ratings on Angie's List.
The second plumber was very knowledgeable and knew how to evaluate the type problem we were concerned about. We shut off all house water outlets while he listened for the sound of a leak at the nearby bathroom faucet. He could hear none. He asked if our water bill had increased significantly? I said no. He checked the water meter, but said the tiny amount of movement he saw could be due to a leaky toilet flapper. He added that if we had a leak in the pressurized system, the smaller dial on the water meter would be spinning. He also did a visual inspection of the parts of the system that are visible. His rejection of an under slab leak was supported by the fact that the problem had existed for almost a month without getting worse, and that we were able to dry the carpet area with a ceiling fan. He said that leaks in the pressurized system increase rapidly, and that we would have lots of water in the room if we had one. The plumber said that we might have ground water seepage, or a condensation problem, but not a leaking pressurized pipe. We paid him for a service call, and felt much better about the situation.
We actually discovered the tiny leak that made the meter move when, while discussing his findings, I happened to lean on the sprinkler system supply pipe, and a stream of water shot from a joint.
I followed up with a company that evaluates ground water seepage. The technician evaluated the room and outside area, and told us that the problem is due to humidity and condensation under the plastic carpet protector. I am therefore in the process of buying a small room dehumidifier. We keep our house at 78 degrees in the summer, and the room with the problem has only has one AC vent, and shares a wall with the hot garage.
We feel strongly that the Reedy Company plumbers did not do an adequate evaluation of the potential pipe leak, and were too quick to jump to a conclusion that was financially beneficial to the company; and perhaps the plumbers if they were on commission.

I did some trouble-shooting myself and was thinking the problem was in the main line between the curb and the house. I thought this because the leak continued when the in-house water shutoff valve was closed and the lawn sprinkler shutoff valve was closed. Clint investigated where the pipes entered the house and found that one toilet was bypassed when the house was re-plumbed many years ago. Water goes to the toilet through a separate pipe from the outside line and does not go through the shutoff valve just inside the house (in a closet). That toilet isn't used and has its shutoff valve permanently closed, but the shutoff valve isn't working properly. Therefore, even when the in-house shutoff valve is closed, the toilet continues to slowly and silently waste water. I didn't know about a second shutoff valve outside that is connected to an old water softener. It was deteriorated and needed to be replaced, but it shuts off water to everything inside the house. Clint replaced that outside shutoff valve with a better quality valve that is much easier to use. My leak problem is solved for now. Thank you, Clint...

Actually, it was somewhat of an emergency because it got busted. They came right out within an hour. I have used them multiple times since 2007. When they say they are going to come, they are on time. If they have a delay which is infrequently, they call you. They are very quick to respond. If it is an emergency, they would be right over. If it is not an emergency, it is usually within 24-hours that they get somebody out. I really like them.

It was a big project completed over several weeks. Brian was our service tech and was very professional and personal. I felt comfortable having him in the house. Another thing which I appreciated it was how careful he was while working and his clean up at the end of day. On the last day he even washed the garage floor which has been a staging area for the tile prep work!

This is the sixth time I've used Reedy and continue to be pleased with all aspects of their service. This time I had them quote then install a new water softener in my house. Brian Paskert arrived on time and went right to work. Plumbing had to be routed in the attic then down into the utility room where the new unit was placed. Seems like a pretty big job to me but he finished before 4PM (started about 10:30 and took an hour lunch break).
