I contacted Travis after coming across his website. He came out to my home to measure and to discuss with me my options. He gave me three different quotes for three different types of sod. I am so happy with my beautiful lawn. I have even had people knocking on my door to ask me what type of grass I have. It looks and feels like a carpet. Anyway, I will always recommend Travis for anyone doing sod.

Quick and accommodating delivery of a pallet of sod to my home to fix an area that needed to be done right away. Travis and driver kept me informed all along till pallet was delivered. I ordered Bahia grass which is not exactly the best, but Travis explained fully what to expect so that I wasn't surprised. Very professional and courteous. Thanks guys!

I found them online and they were very good about letting us know what was available. The specific type of sod we wanted had just been sold to someone else. However, they said that when they had just a small amount available, they'd call us to see when we'd be available for them to drop it off.  They dropped off the sod on a pallet on our driveway. The first time we got the sod, it was excellent. The second time, it didn't look like the same sod as before. They assured us that it was the same, even though it looked like it was dying. It did eventually match the other sod however.

They did a fantastic job. It didn't take them long to do the work at all - about an hour to an hour and a half.

The sod looks great.  They were very good and easy to deal with. Their prices were reasonable. They brought the sod out and installed it. We changed things in the middle of the project and they had no problems making that change -- they were flexible.

Proposal was very thorough and competitive.  They showed up first thing in the morning on the day they promised to be here.  Sod was in very good sh\ape.  It looked very nice when they finished installing.

I am very impressed with this company and recommend it highly!  Travis Council came to our home to review a landscaping project, measured the area we wanted re-sodded, and gave me a quote that was substantially less than we had received from another reputable landscaping contractor.  It quickly became evident that dealing directly with a sod farm, as opposed to a landscaper acting as a middleman, was the way to go.  In any event, Council Growers arrived when promised and did a great job putting the new sod in place!  I have already recommended this company to others, including our landscape contractor who was also very impressed by the end result.

Arrived on time, well prepared, did a professional job and left after we were sure sprinklers were providing adequate coverage.

It turned out really well! They have done sod for us on several occasions over the years. The owner, Travis, deals with stuff himself. We have built a good relationship with him and he is very responsive.

My husband dealt with them primarily. He was pretty happy with the customer service he received. They were able to answer all of our landscaping questions. We feel we got a competitive price. They were the best price we found.

It turned out fine. They did a very nice job. They were here on time and they cleaned up well.

They did a great job. It was wonderful! Everyone who comes by and sees my grass, I tell them who did the work.

Council Growers matched the sod price of their competitors and gave me a discount on ground cover plants. Friendly and knowledgable customer service. My only concern was that some of the sod pieces seem to have been cut at different depths...my yard is a patchwork of varying heights. I'm hoping it will level out as the sod "settles" and roots fully establish.

Pricing was good.  Professionalism was good over the phone.  Seemed knowledgeable on their product.  I didn't
ultimately choose them for service but they seemed solid and were in the running.  I found a slightly better deal elsewhere with a comparable merchant.

Travis Council came out and gave us an estimate. He also explained the
difference between Zoysia and other grasses as well as the process
involved in removing the old sod and replacing it. The estimate was
accurate and well below others that we got estimated from for the same
type of grass and work involved. The crew that came out did an excellent
job and were prompt and efficient. My wife and I continue to be
exceptionally pleased with how well we were treated, how good the price
was, and how wonderful our lawn continues to look. We definitely
recommend Council Growers to anyone looking to resod their lawn.

They got professional service but we decided not to go with them because of their price.

We needed to resod our entire front yard, about 8000 sq ft. Quotes from landscaping companies averaged about 6-7K for the job. By using council growers and throwing the sod ourselves, we cut the price in half. Their materials cost was cheaper than all of the other quotes by a mile. The sod was healthy and the company worked with us to answer all of our questions.

We wanted to get a new yard for the backyard which is on Tampa Bay.  Travis came out and measured our yard and gave us an estimate for putting in a new lawn.  They came out and treated the existing yard and then removed the grass down to dirt.  They then adjusted the level of the dirt and then laid the new sod.  Travis did an excellent job of explaining how much we needed to water and what to do for weeds etc in the future. 

The amazing part about this was that they showed up when they said they would.  Travis is the man!

We had gotten several estimates and Council Growers seemed to be the most honest.  We made a trip out to the farm to select the type of grass and went with their specialty - Empire Zoysia.  It has been about a year and a half and the grass looks awesome.  We still have Floratam in the front yard and plan on replacing that with Council Empire later this year.
