They were wonderful. The rep was very nice and knowledgeable. It was painless.

I have used this company in the past, and have always been satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism. This is my thirst time using them. In the past I purchased a new water heater from them, and it works extremely well. As part of maintaining that heater, I have it flushed every 6 months or so. Coincidentally there was a coupon special for the company, and fully took advantage of it. Ricky, the plumber, was prompt, professional, respectful and extremely personable. Not only did he draIn the tank, he also inspected the panel box to see that sufficient amperage was being sent to the unit. Unfortunately, it was not to par. I would not have known this if Ricky did not inspect the system in full. Fortunately I am having my place renovated, and have brought this fact to my electrician's attention (who also is an Angie's list A member). I must mention that Ricky did apply booties to his shoes to keep my floors clean, but since they too will be replaced, there was no need. My only (and minor) contention is that I specified to the company to have the plumber call me just before arriving so I can open the security gate. I happen to be waiting by the pool area of my complex, and the truck just drove by, not stopping. The company did apologize for not following this, and promised to correct this. This was in no fault of the plumber. I have recommended this company to fellow HOA residents of my complex, and will continue to do so.

They called ahead to verify the appointment and showed up on time. Work swiftly to repair 2 plumbing issues I was having. They were prompt, professional, courteous and fair with their pricing.

Ok. I have had them back to clear a drain. I also joined their diamond club plan for $8/month, which gets you a 25% discount on future services and the money you give them monthly is applied to the bills they present when they do their work.

It was good that it got done, just too expensive.

The gentleman (Anthony??) arrived at my home several minutes late. He was on a prior call that was not resolved. I did not deduct points on that criteria since he explained a pipe burst at a local hospital. He scheduled with me for the next day and was punctual. After we reviewed the possible routes for the plumbing Anthony?? was to deliver via e-mail) a detailed estimate of the two options. I called him several times when he did not send the estimate when promised. He finally gave me a verbal estimate of $1,900-$2,500. I requested from him the written estimate with the break down he originally promised. Only after I contacted Angie's list and explained my dilemma was the estimate delivered two months later and made zero sense. I let A-P keep the $99.00 because I felt the employee at least dressed up in a hazardous waste white suit and went under my home into the crawl space. I had a second company come to my home for an estimate and they were $1,500 lower than A-P lowest estimate. Regrettably, the holidays is an excellent time to try and strong arm people into bad deals. I will never call this company ever again, even if the deal is for free plumbing!!!

Do hire them: Their work last year was great. Don't waste your money on their Diamond Club; it is good for nothing.

After returning from an outing, my daughter noticed water on the guest bathroom floor. After examining it, we decided the toilet was leaking from the bottom.

Everything was fine. I DO WISH you had asked me to write this while it was still fresh in my memory and not 4 MONTHS later.

I am bidding out quotes for the installation of a Water Softener system in my home. A to Z wanted a $89 Diagnostic Fee for the quote. They stated the fee would be reimbursed if I choose them to install the water softener. So, it's without saying that if I choose the lower bidder, and it is NOT A to Z, I will have just lost my $89. I contacted 7 companies and A to Z is the only one that wants to charge me this fee. In today's day and age, charging a diagnostic fee for a quote is like expecting someone to pay for shipping on something they purchased online. This mentality was the norm in say, 2000 - 2001, but not anymore... Consumers will not pay a diagnostic fee when they have such a large amount of companies at their disposal on sites like Angie's List and others that will offer this service for free.

My water heater was replaced without any problems after it was deemed necessary to do so since it was in bad condition.

John Driscoll Jr is phenomenal. I need to have the drainage cleaned once every couple of years. When he does it, it is perfect. He always does a great job.

While he ran a little late I was ok with it, it wasn't TOO late, but the only thing I was not crazy about was although I explained the situation needed he found he needed to come back to actually do the work rather than have the necessary replacement toilet with him. Overall I was happy with the work and would still use them again, but somehow had higher expectations based on previous ratings.

So we agreed on a price, and when the sink and the faucet assembly were delivered I called and set up a date and time. They were prompt, and set out to work steadily...but he hadn't apparently realized that the old sink was a heavy enameled wrought iron one (He had a hard time carrying it out.) He also hadn't inspected the old countertops, and it had some warping from water...I had purchased a not very expensive stainless steel sink because I intend to redo the whole kitchen, with a good under mount sink, but I'm not changing the counters out until I get the whole thing lined up. I wanted to stop messing around with this awful old sink though and move the disposal from the small side to the larger one for washing dishes. He spent the entire afternoon trying to fit the sink to the old (same sized) opening. He wrestled with the disposal, and had a difficult time moving it. He installed the faucet in such a way that the pull out head doesn't have a straight drop so it doesn't retract easily. He complained about how hard it was, and it should n't be taking so long. the job got done adequately, but it took longer and was more expensive than I thought it ought to be. that plus the pushy sales techniques and the complaining mean that I wouldn't recommend this company again.

They arrived on time, performed the job throughout the night, and left the site clean once the job was completed.

This clog caught us off-guard on a Sunday morning (of our son's birthday). I found A-Z as offering emergency services on Angie's list. When I called them, they told me that service call was costlier due to its emergency nature on a weekend, but I will get a 10% discount for referral from Angie's list. Their technician (Mr. Osbrach) called us within minutes of my first call and explained that he will come in about 2 hours. He called us again in about 1.5 hours to make sure that we still had the problem and to inform us that he was on his way. Once on site, he explained what he thought was the problem and gave an estimated time of about an hour. He completed the job very promptly. He was very polite and professional. The company also gave a 1-year warranty on the work. Although the price seems a bit on the higher side, I appreciate a job done promptly. The peace of mind of knowing that there is someone to call for such unexpected problem is invaluable.

Had two clogged lines (1 in kitchen and 1 in master bathroom). The technician arrived on time and was extremely professional. He quickly diagnosed the situation and offered various options and prices. Answered all my questions and provided total estimate based on my needs and requests. I received the 10% discount for being on Angie's list. Once he started working, he didn't stop until he completed the job. Had to the run the line several times before he was satisfied with the work. Took the time to answer more questions I had during the job and was great with keeping the area clean and working efficiently. I was extremely satisfied with the work and customer service skills from both the technician and call center. I would highly recommend this organization.

I bought the Angie's List deal for A to Z Statewide Plumbing "A to Z Statewide Plumbing, a 2011 Plumbing and Water Heater Service Provider on Angie's List, is offering $99 for $299 worth of any plumbing service! This Deal saves our members $200!". They quoted me $429 to replace a $5 wax ring on a 5 month old American Standard two piece toilet. Are you kidding me?!?! The $299 dollars of pumping services is a fiction when all the services they quote are waaay overpriced. There was so much B.S. with this company I won't even write it all down. They tried to say I had a "special" toilet, etc. I've installed toilets before, this one was not "special" and even advertises as no tools required for installation. Ridiculous! Read other consumer reviews about this ripoff... I will never ever ever ever do business with this company again. Don't be fooled. To top it off, the plumber didn't even do it right anyway...

The company personnel were very courteous on the phone and the gentleman came to my home in a timely manner. Very polite and thorough. I was very please with the service. I will use this company again for my plumbing needs.

Arrived late. Wanted $1,100.00 originally but settled on $400.00 for the job. The plumber had to leave the house twice to call the office on the price, this was unprofessional.

I bought the special "$99 for $299 of Plumbing Repair Dollars of any plumbing service with A to Z Statewide Plumbing". I thought that meant that I would be $99 for the amount of time that would otherwise be charged $299. No one at the office told me anything different. However, when the plumber arrived, he said that A to Z has tiers of service charges that depend on the type of work involved and that neither fixing a supply line leak under the kitchen sink nor changing a flapper qualified as "$299" work. Instead my labor rates were "Level 3" and "Level 5". I paid $234.00 for one hour and 45 minutes of labor; that is, the plumber arrived and departed in one hour and 45 minutes. The charge for materials was $32.00. I have an MBA and I work as a business consultant and I still cannot reconcile the language in the advertising with the plumber's explanation and the total labor charges. But after two prior bungled appointments and then this hassle on the third attempt, I just wanted the experience to end. But wait, there's more. I originally scheduled that work for the previous Friday, but at 3:45 PM I still had not heard from the plumber of the A to Z office. So I had to call the A to Z office to tell them that I could not have a plumber in my condo performing repairs at 6:00 PM on Friday unless it was an emergency. The lady at the office suggested re-scheduling for a morning appointment so the plumber could be in and out during the day. I agreed even though I had to re-schedule other appointments because I am busy in the mornings with clients and other work. However, on the day of the second appointment, as of 12:30 PM I still had not heard from the plumber, who was supposed to give 45 minutes notice. Once again I called the office and suggested that this special service just was not working and we should agree to cancel the appointment and that A to Z should refund the $99.00 that I had paid in advance. Then they jumped into action, saying that they would contact the plumber and get right back to me. They called back ten minutes later saying the the plumber could be there in less than an hour. I caved in. I should have insisted on a cancellation after two bungled appointments. Never again will I pay in advance for any labor specials from any service provider.
