This was a big job. I had a 24" space in my bathroom, found no satisfactory small washers and dryers. Neil widened the space to accommodate a new large washer and dryer. He also made the bathroom door wider to get them in. My water heater was old and rusted and needed to be replaced as well. Since the door was widened, he had to put down a piece of new tile on the floor.
Neil did a beautiful job. The carpentry was perfect. He made neater corners than I've seen in new construction. He fashioned a exhaust hose system and electric upgrade, where there was very little room, but he did it.
Not only is he very knowledgeable about how things are engineered (plumbing, electrical, and structural), he understands the aesthetic aspects of the project as well.
He is prompt, and once he starts the job he is a diligent worker. He's very pleasant as well. His prices are fair, and does not make up last minute mysterious price hikes once the job is underway. He is a square dealer. Also he does not talk condescendingly to women, as some contractors have done.
He makes sure the job is done. He touched up the paint where the wall was scraped. He cleaned up after he was through, and carted the trash away, instead of leaving it in our trash can.
