The books are good quality and the internet course was pretty good, very easy to navigate and the instructors seemed clear and knowledgeable. The phone support was great and they even provide a chat section on their website. I watched every video in the course and studied well. There are thousands of rules and bits of knowledge to know and of course no one can know it all, so there are tips given along the way, either as pre-highlighted sections in the binder or areas we were asked to highlight in our other books. These are the areas that I studied diligently. When I finally took the test I was surprised to learn that I failed part of it. There are two parts, one that has to do with the legal and administrative aspects and the other one that has to do with practical trade, and I failed the practical trade portion. I wondered how I could've studied so hard and failed, so I called up Michigan Builders Licence and C.C. when I got home and they said they would send me a test prep package for free, which consisted of several sections of multiple choice questions. I studied that to the point of memorizing over 95% of it and retook the test and to my utter disappointment realized that almost none of the test prep questions where on the test....I got the exact same score! As I left the test center incredibly disappointed, I realized that I wasted all of that time learning information that was useless for the purpose of the test, the test prep was actually a detriment to my success on passing the test! When I got home, I called Michigan Builders License and C.C. again and they told me they would have the instructor himself call me back and not long after he did call. His name is Aaron and he was very nice and admitted that maybe he wasn't as current on what's going on with the tests as he should be and told me he would work with me. I got off the phone with him feeling better, but over the next few weeks he simply didn't fulfill his word, and all he could come up was an email with  2 questions, only one of which had an answer, which was worthless and discouraging. I actually sent him a list of questions that I couldn't find  the answers to as well, and he didn't reply to that. I did try to contact him a couple of times for help as well as contacting the company itself and got no help. The saving grace for me was that after failing it two times, I remembered some of the questions and found answers to them myself, kept studying, and passed the test myself. I would not use this company is I were you.

*Edit* Shortly after giving this review I called the company to complain one final time and the president of the company called me back and seemed to have a genuine desire to look into these issues. I told him I didn't want any money back, but he insisted on sending me a $111.00 check. I was ultimately impressed with just about every aspect of this company other than dealing with Aaron's part of the course.
