Havertys - Wesley Chapel

I purchased a leather couch at Havertys Furniture near I-75 and Rt. 56 in Wesley Chapel, Florida. It was delivered on October 29, 2016. In less than three weeks, the cushion bottomed out. When I purchased the couch the seat was comfortable. Now when I sit down, I feel the hard base below the cushion. The store refuses to take the sofa back saying they have a three day return policy only! I am out of luck. In my opinion, you cannot get to really feel comfortable with a purchase in three days. The cushion took longer than that to wear down. I would never recommend Havertys Furniture with a policy like that. I do not remember the sales manager, Scott Heathcoate, which sold me the couch ever saying anything about a three day policy.

I really hate this store, but the same is probably true of the others. You are "greeted" when you come in, but in fact whoever greets you when you come in is your salesperson and they slink behind you around the store, popping into view periodically to try to sell you something. In spite of their reputation, the furniture is not all that high quality and I am very sorry I purchased it. I could have obtained the same furniture or better at another stores for less. Haverty's has the furniture manufacturer put the Haverty's name on the furniture. So you could be buying something from a Rooms to Go manufaturer just as easily as something better made--and you have no idea who the manufacturer is. The worst part here is that I spent nearly 3 thousand dollars and then had to pay $100 delivery charge. No other furniture store would charge delivery for a purchase of that amount of money. I checked. I was pressured hard to buy their warranties, which I did not want. I was pressured to buy more furniture. It was just an awful experience all around. I couldn't feel free to look because a greeter was attached to me the moment I came in and hovered over me for a sale; I was pressured to buy, buy, buy, and was encouraged firmly to buy one of their warranties. I realize furniture people make their living off commissions, but they way they do iy here, at least at this store, just feels low-life and scummy. They have no class whatsoever. Never again, Haverty's.

"A" all the way. Justin was the employee that helped us and he was excellent. Justin provided advice about furniture that was very knowledgeable. All of their staff was excellent. They told us if we didn't like the furniture once it was home to bring it back. The store is very well setup. It was nice, clean, and bright. It was just a nice experience.

Terri is excellent sale person. She is professional, courteous. Price is good. Delivery was on time.
