The truck showed up as I was leaving. The delivery men were very nice and I explained what happened. They told me they are an outsourced company. When he called to confirm delivery was completed, he was told it was cancelled. With a smile, he said too late. It's in the house. There is too much competition for Ashley / City Furniture . In the future I will shop elsewhere.
Description of Work: We purchased an end table and it was damaged. We had to keep the table for one month, while a replacement was ordered. As a one time curtesy the store manager waived the delivery fee. I have an issue with that, right there, but, that's another review. Delivery didn't not arrive during scheduled time frame. 8am to 7pm.. Huge window, I know.. I called customer service to complain about not hearing from the driver. I was then told they will arrive in the next 2 hours, which came and went...still nothing from the driver. Now, thoroughly annoyed, I call C/S again. Tried to explain to this Yolanda person, that I cannot wait any longer. I was reprimanded by her for not making other arrangements to accept delivery. First off, my living situation is not their business, so I felt no need to explain that. She did in the end reschedule for Thursday,at my request. The store manager was also our salesman. I called him to complain about the terrible treatment I received. Well I guess he trained Yolanda because he was worse. Going as far as canceling my delivery entirely. He was very rude. Raised his voice to me. Now I'm not well, and that's not their business either, but that kind of customer service is unacceptable. I didn't bother to explain my need to pick up my medication at my doctors office before it closed. I shouldn't have to.

Description of Work: I asked for Lazy-Boy leather recliner sofas for Christmas 2009. I believed the hype that they were well made in America. Within 4 months I realized how wrong I was to have paid so much for this furniture. The leg rests would not stay up. Someone came and worked on them but we called again and no one came out to repair the weak mechanisms that hold up the footrests. In addition, the leather left its color on the wall. The slightest scratch or rub left a mark on the leather. The furniture looked strong and beautiful in the store but it is not durable. I reported the problem to the Better Business Bureau within the year but as of October 2010 it was in storage due to a divorce. There wasn't much BBB could do. I am writing this now to warn others. I still have the furniture, it still leaves brown marks on the wall if it gets too close. The legs still go down at the slightest pressure, ( I weigh 130 pounds). It will be sometime before I can afford to replace it. The Lazy-Boy that this was purchased was in Palm Beach Gardens off RCA Blvd.
