Trey and Chris share a long-term friendship and history in the appliance repair business. Trey’s parents ran a successful appliance repair company for 22 years before joining the Mr. Appliance team in 1999. Trey’s friend, Chris, served as the office and store manager for three years. When the elder Beattys decided to retire, Trey and Chris ran the business for two years before purchasing it in 2006. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! The techs repair failed soon after he left. I called the company and was told I had to wait almost a week for them to revisit the appliance. Management refused to help -- you would think they would be helpful -- so I asked for my money back. BOTH the diagnosis and repair had failed and I would have to start over. This was refused as well. So I had no choice but to cancel payment and move on. SAD. This manager needs training.

the repairman was polite and proficient. He showed us the bad part and said it was a common breakdown of our model of dishwasher. He did not have the part on his truck and the next day was the 4th of July. He came back on Tuesday and installed the part. Although Mr. Appliance did their job it was pricey. You could order that part on the internet for 1/2 of what they charged. However I am not confident that I have the expertise to repair the appliance. We asked him (Troy) what the best dishwasher was and he said really you have to spend twice what we did to get the very best.

The technician and the dispatcher were polite and things happened as we were told they would. We were given a time window, which they hit both times. We got a call when the technician was enroute which helped us to plan our day. We were impressed with the professionalism of everyone with whom we spoke.

Our new refrigerator was making strange noises. Of course, when the technician arrived all was well. He spent several minutes listening and concluded that the most likely cause of the noise was the freezer fan. He said that he'd order a new one and come back to install it. Several days later he came back (in the midst of a terrific thunderstorm) with the new part. Within minutes the installation was complete and he was on his way. The unit was under warranty so there was no cost to us.

Associate was very professional, It took about a week to evaluate problem and order part and replace it. Appointments were on time and the associate, I believe his name is Troy explained what the problem was and offered suggestions to avoid the same problem in the future. Was very satisfied with service although I thought it was pretty pricy but I don't know the price of the part. Would not recommend Samsung products but would recommend Mr. Appliance

We called them in Septemeber and fixed the dryer. The dryer was making a different noise the second time, but we had a warranty and I did not have to pay. We did not even have to buy the warranty. It is included with their service. It was nice! The service has been great with them.

I couldn't get my washer to stop. I couldn't open the door. The serviceman assessed the situation, fixed the problem quickly and gave me advice on how to keep the washer in good condition. I was more than pleased from the assistance from my first phone call to the estimate of the time it would take to have him arrive. This all happened on a Saturday as well!

The technician came back in about a week and the work was completed with no problems He cleaned up the laundry room and put the dryer back in the correct spot.. I was given a one year warranty for the work and parts.

My dryer needed a new knob plus another major internal part (don't remember the name of it but there was a high squeaking noise when the dryer ran.) The technician explained what he would do and answered my questions. I gave him $100 deposit for the parts to be ordered

The first appointment was on 8/22/12 at my home. Technician was very neat and professional. Said oven needed a thermostat and had to order the part. When the part came in the office called and we scheduled a visit for 9/5/12, since we were going out of state the last week of August. We had just landed in NJ when I had a message on my phone that they had a cancellation and were coming the next day! Instead of verifying with me first that the date was okay they left it up to me to call them and cancel if it was not convenient. I thought this was very rude and told them to just leave the date as I had scheduled it. On the second visit on 9/5/12 a different technician came out and said the wrong thermostat was ordered. He had to order the correct one and then come back. The third appt to install another thermostat was on 9/12/12. A different technician came out but after making the repair did not let the oven run long enough to see if the problem was solved. The problem returned almost immediately after he left, necessitating another call to the office. The fourth visit a week later on 9/19/12 a technician again came out and removed the newly installed thermostat and said the first technician misdiagnosed the problem and the board had to be replaced, a more costly repair. He left and we had to decide whether to continue with the repair, since by now I had doubts that they could fix it, or buy a new oven. He said they would apply the price of the wrong part to the part we needed. We decided to go ahead and let them fix it so another return visit was scheduled. They came out a fifth time on 9/26 and were finally able to fix the oven. It took over a month and numerous phone calls, not to mention time off from work, since they only work Monday through Friday, and cannot give you a time other than 8-12 or 1-5. On at least 2 occasions they did not come at the scheduled times. Although they were very neat and courteous I do not have faith in the capabilities of the repair technicians and I would not chance using them again.

Do get a service estimate and compare to price of replace, install and haul away. Don't make my mistake!

GE Spacemaker Microwave came with condo unit. During 5 years, its handle loosened, grille cover loosened. Finally the top of the handle came off because the screw inside fell off, cracking the plastic. The door could still be opened by prying the bottom with our finger. I could have taped the handle and used it this way for a long time. The light bulb also failed. I could have used the broken microwave for a long time to come, but I want things in good repair. Since I believe in repair before throwing out on the first failure, I called 2 repair facilities registered with our condo on December 21. Twee at Mr. Appliance was a very pleasant contact. She said they repair microwaves. Because of Christmas, they could not come until Dec. 27 for the estimate. The estimate fee was $79.00, deductible from service performed. The service man arrived promptly within the service window. He was young and very professional. He assessed the door and said he would have Mr. Appliance give me a service estimate of. Later that day, Twee sent an estimate of $628.00 by email and I was totally blown away. I understand the markup on parts as they move along the supply chain. I called Twee and paid half by credit card. I had forgotten to tell the service man that I wanted the light bulb replaced too. She said she would estimate the bulb but not charge for labor. I scheduled the service I researched price later finding it was $150 over what I believed Home Depot would charge for installing a new microwave and hauling away the old one. But I scheduled an appointment for Jan. 23. The same pleasant man arrived on time. He replaced the door, put screws in the grille cover above the unit and replaced the light bulb. This $648 repair took ten minutes! The repairman took the remaining payment on his credit card unit and we pleasantly parted company. I later examined the receipt. The receipt did not itemize parts and labor to my surprise. The warranty says Mr. Appliance of the Treasure Coast guarantees the repair for a year. The upside is that my micro works great and I did not have to shop for a new one and risk the headaches of purchasing an unknown item. I would definitely hire Mr. Appliance for repair again but only after comparing cost of Home Depot replace, install and haul away first.

The experience from start to finish could not have gone better. From the call to make the appointment and then they called to verify on the day before and then the technician arrived on time. He was good about keeping the area clean and even vacumned up after himself, as well as, wiped down the washing machine. I am particular about paying attention to the detail of how a technician handles him/herself since I conduct training of field technicians in another industry.

Description of Work
The response was fantastic and they scheduled an appointment to fit my schedule. When the technician came to the door he was courteous and professional. He drove a Mr. Appliance vehicle and had proper company work clothes and ID with him. Our washer would not run. He identified he problem in about 10 minutes and suggested two options. First, to repair and he obtained a firm quote from the office ($300.00) with estimated time of part arrival and subsequent return date (3-4 days). Second, being honest, he suggested we shop the current pricing for a new washer since the washer being repaired was 10+ years old. The part would fix the problem but, it was likely to have additional issues as time passed since the problem was a motor issue.

Serviceman was courteous, and honest. The cost of the estimate would go toward the repair if I chose to have the dishwasher fixed. It was suggested that it might be more advantageous to replace the dishwasher because, it was over 20 years old, the repair would be expensive. The cost of the estimate would be put toward the repair if I chose to have it fixed. My understanding was that this company did not sell appliances. I choses to purchase a new dishwasher.

They were very punctual. They came when they said they were going to come. They called half an hour before they got here and it was that sort of a thing. So they were really responsible that way. They did suggest me that it might be better off if I bought a new one but it wouldn't have worked out because I can't carry these machines around. If I had to have it delivered, it will cost me more money. The installation again will cost me more money and the machine itself will cost me more money than the one I have. The one that I have isn't that old. It's only a couple of years old and so I asked them to fix it anyway. They suggested it might be a better idea to buy a new one. So at least they were honest that way. The microwave is working fine now. There were no complications with the company. They called back to make sure that there were no problems. I wasn't really happy about the price but it had to be done. I will use their services again in the future.

Obviously, I would have preferred my problem got fixed on the first visit, but I don't really blame Mr Appliance for not getting it right the first time in this case. The technician (Chris) fixed the problem he diagnosed, and to his credit, he found a second problem and also fixed that before leaving on the first visit. It just so happens that, in this case, there was a third problem which was not detected on the first visit, one which cost me an additional visit and another $75, bringing the total cost of this job to $332. However, for that price, I received a virtually completely new ice maker, a new relay, and a new water valve. When I factor in three hours of labor on top of all those new parts, I think I got a fair shake from Mr. Appliance. I must add that Mr. Appliance's customer service falls somewhere between excellent and super. Everyone I contacted was cheerful, friendly and efficient. The technician brought a doormat on which to wipe his feet as he shuttled between his truck and my kitchen; and he wore shoe covers while in my house. One more thing: I've done business with other appliance repair services in this area and none of them have EVER, EVER, EVER had the part I needed on their truck. It's always been the same story - one visit to diagnose the problem; wait a week for them to get the part(s); then a second visit to install the part(s). But on two separate visits, Christopher had all the parts he needed to troubleshoot my problem, right on his truck. From now on, whenever I need an appliance repair service, Mr. Appliance is my guy.

However, when my icemaker still refused to produce, I had to call and have Christopher dispatched again. On the second visit (11/1/2010), he spent approximately 2 hours diagnosing the problem and replacing parts. During this second visit he replaced the entire icemaker with a new kit. He also replaced the water valve, which resulted in another charge of about $75. I 'm not going to give a detailed dos and don'ts. This franchise needs to have their overall procedures re-evaluated.

Description of Work
The date of service is approx. as I am out of town at the moment. The gas dryer needed an igniter assembly; cost for part approx.39.00. Mr. Appliance quoted over $260.00 for the work!!!! To me, this is taking advantage of people who do not know about other avenues in which they can research for this type of repair. I called Eric the Gas Man who has been trained in GAS repairs. Mr. Appliance only trains for about a year and to my knowledge, does not have certified or highly experieced gas repairmen. My dryer was a ticking time bomb. The vent tubes through roof were clogged and rinsed out. From the lint in the dryer, one could see it was blackened. The other company performed a thorough inspection of the dryer, venting, and operation before submitting quote for repair. It was 1/2 the amount plus I was able to find an almost new gas dryer which was installed without a hitch.

He diagnosed my problem, and told me my options. It was a 30 yr old stove! He went online and found the part was available, quoted me the price of the repair and also went online and told me the price to replace my stove. It was a collaborative experience and he helped me decide not to repair but buy a new stove.
