GULF COAST TREE CARE

We were given a fair price accepted, and an appt was set that was convenient for us.  They arrived on time, removed tree and all debris.  We were very pleased with the service.

Everyone I dealt with was extremely courteous and professional.  I called to request an estimate, but the phone was busy.  Howvever, a voice message asked me to leave my name and number and informed me that they would try to return my call within 15 minutes.  Liz, from the office, called me back in less than 10 minutes and was very helpful in taking my information and setting up an appointment for Phil to meet me, evaluate the job I wanted done, and provide me an estimate.  They gladly accomodated my request to meet him on a Saturday morning and he showed up at exactly the time promised.  Phil was very personable, knowledgable (a certified arborist), and friendly.  After looking at the property and asked what I had in mind, I told him that I thought I wanted one large limb removed from one tree and 2-3 large limbs removed from another.  Phil told me, without hesitation, that they could do that.  However, he also told me that, if it were him, he would do some pruning and significant foliage reduction rather than merely removing the limbs and explained how removing 2-3 large limbs from the one tree would cause trauma to the tree itself and may actually shorten it's lifespan.  He pointed out everything that he would prune and remove, which would stll result in the elimination of the potential hazards to my house and neighbor's property.  He gave me an estimate for each alternative and I selected the alternative he proposed, even though it was slightly more than I had anticipated. 

I agreed to sign a contract and he explained that the office would call me to schedule the specific date to do the job and told me that, because of prior jobs to which they were already committed, it would be within 4 weeks - unless they had to respond to unexpected emergency jobs arising from fallen trees damaging property as a consequence of any storms.  In negotiating a final price, I inquired about the discount offered on Angie's list, which he gladly applied.

In just under two weeks after signing the contract, Liz called me and told me that they would be able to schedule the job for the following Tuesday (May 31st) if I was agreeable, which I was.  On the 31st, two workers arrived at my house just before noon and told me that they were there to do the job and that Phil was to join them in 10-15 to go over the details of the job.  When Phil arrived, he asked me if I would like to accompany him as he pointed out the job requirements to his crew to ensure he did not overlook something.  I did so and it was very beneficial because his crew chief (also a certified arborist) raised one or two points and offered some suggestions and recommendations which we all discussed and upon which we reached agreement.

Phil left and his crew completed the job exactly as we had all agreed, and removed all the debris and left the yard completely clean - just as Phil had promised.  The entire job was completed by the two members of the crew in about 4 hours and my wife and I could not have been more pleased.  About an hour after I paid the crew ( by check) and they left, I received a phone call from Liz at the office who was following up to see if I was completely satisfied.  She told me that, if I was not satisfied, she would contact Phil and have him return to the job site and she would not deposit my check until I was completely satisfied.  I told her that there was no need to ask Phil to return since I was completely satisfied with the job their crew had done and would be happy to recommend them to anyone who needed similar service.

Gulf Coast Tree Care Inc. was cheaper than everybody else and did a beautiful job. They cleaned up when they were done and you couldn't even tell anyone had made a mess. We got a 10% discount from them by using Angie's List. They were very professional and prompt.

They were awesome. They are great people and great service, everything was great. They came out right away and gave us an estimate. They said they would be back on a certain day, they were there and got it done. They just really did the trees great, they did an excellent job. We have already recommended them to people.

Phil came out and assessed the property. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions, educate me on tree care, and to help prioritize the work to do to fit within our budget. They promptly pulled the needed County permits (which I didn't even know they needed). In regards to schedule, they did everything when they said they would. Showed up on time. Everyone on their crew was extremely professional (it was Darrin and his crew, GREAT job). They had to deal with a very, very unfriendly neighbor on one tree that was very close to the property line. This neighbor was just being a jerk, even parking his boat right next to the tree they needed to take down (knowing we were doing this work). Everyone representing Gulf Coast Tree Care was extremely professional and handled the neighbor in an excellent manner. Liz at the office was very easy to work with. Overall great service. The trimmed trees look great. They were also great at cleaning up after themselves. Racking and blowing all the tree debris. Left the yard looking better than when they got there. Definitely recommend this company.

Mr. Kale was very professional with his assessment of the work needed and explained what he was recommending. The proposal was well written ,included everything we had discussed with copies of insurance papers an educational materials about the company as well as information about trees. He was on the property the morning the work was to begin instructing the crew about what needed to be done. The crew was also very professional and asked questions when not sure about what I wanted done. They were on the job the entire day and cleaned up when finished. Mr. Kale was at the job most of the day. He returned at the end making sure we were pleased. I will use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

This company is top notch. They provide excellent customer service from the time they come to give you a quote until the time they have completed the work. We were 100% satisfied. They did a beautiful job on our trees, did an excellent job of cleanup and did a follow-up to be sure that we were satisfied. They come highly recommended.

It went very well. They were very neat and very careful. They finished ontime. Everything went fine.

Steve came out for an estimate at the appointed time. After explaining what we wanted done, Steve estimated that it would take 3 1/2 hours. The price was right after he gave a 10% discount for a second service call. As with the first job this company did, everything was perfect when they finished. The trees were shaped beautifully and a safe distance from the roof. Cleanup was just as good as with the first job with hardly a leaf left over from the work that was done.

Outstanding! Pricey, but worth it. Did a fantastic job on the trees and clean up was perfect. Highly recommend.

Amazing! We were removing the trees because the oldest one was a threat to our house. There was a fork in the trunk approximately 6 feet off the ground and part of the tree was extending over our home. We could have cut that portion of the tree off but Steve told us that if we did we would shock the tree so much that he would be back in 1-2 years to cut the rest of it down. And actually with it being a Laurel Oak, it was really older than their usual lifetime. He was very sympathetic to my loss of my beautiful tree and helped me see that this was the best solution. His entire crew was very professional. We also removed a smaller tree because it had been dwarfed by the larger one and would not survive the way it had grown. I have nothing but praise for him and his crew and should my friends or family need his type of service, I would not hesitate to recommend him and the company.

Overall a great experience. The crew they sent out was very professional and cleaned up after themselves. I will be hiring them again.

They give a very detailed proposal explaining exactly what will be done to each tree. They are staffed by certified arborists who know how to make a tree a tree. They know how to trim for the health of the tree and to make the tree beautiful. They have climbing arborists and ground arborists. They do such fine work. They are hard workers, a crew of 6 people were at my home for the entire day to get the job done. They do a fantastic job cleaning up afterwards.

I called Gulf Coast tree sevice after receiving an estimate from another company. The estimator came out promptly at the time specified and explained exactly how it would be done. The price was several hundred dollars below the previous estimate. We signed the contract and a date was set for the job. The crew showed up on time and immediately went to work. They did exactly as the job was explained and were very professional. To say that they met expectations would be an under statement. They exceeded expectations and when the clean-up was finished there didn't seem to be even a leaf left of the tree. This job was more difficult in that the tree was located behind the house and heavy equipment could not be used to haul out the large pieces of the trunk. They had to use a hand truck to get them to the driveway to be lifted by the crane. I would not hesitate to recommend Gulf Coast Tree Care, Inc. for tree service.

Steve Kale from Gulf Coast came out and gave me a quote. He explained what his crew would be doing and why. He even left me with a detailed, printed estimate which clearly outlined what services were to be performed. I was impressed with the proof of insurance binder page that Steve provided at the time of my quote. I shopped around and could have had the work done cheaper, but would not have had insured, professional people and certified arborists on the job! I found that many companies have chain saws, trucks and workers,and are willing to cut but VERY FEW have certified arborists who work with professionally trained tree trimmers who are skilled, licensed and insured. I have used Gulf Coast in the past and I used to get other estimates, but I realize after three jobs with Gulf Coast and comments from others clients of Gulf Coast that you won't find a better crew for your tree care! After the services were performed, Steve came to us to see if we were satisfied before he would accept payment! When I went outside to review the work, if the trees were not gone, I never would have known they were even on the property!

The process went well. Gulf Coast was not the lowest bidder for the project but certainly the most professional. The team showed up on the date promised, showed up ready to work, and met our needs. They cleaned up after themselves and we were very happy with the results.

OMG -- this guy was fantastic! He didn't think he could clean off the roof, but his workers went above and beyond and cleaned up all the needles and dust left behind from the roof as well as the site. The first day the tree was removed, cut neatly and stacked on the side yard. The next day the stump was ground and all remaining debris and tree fragments removed. You'd never know the tree had been there, nor the workers -- no gouges from the truck or remnants of any kind. The yard looks fabulous! The previous tree had been removed by another company that had constant problems coming to work due to issues with vehicles and workers, then left gaping holes in our lawn both from tree removal and damage from their vehicles. Not GULF COAST -- Fabulous, look no further, just use them. We thought the estimate a bit high, but we got our money's worth and then some!

Gulf Coast removed all of the broken limbs, properly trimmed the grand oak, and removed the majority of the overgrowing moss. The crew was very professional, very experienced and it looked like a whole new tree in the front, and it was nice to not see a destroyed tree in the back. They cleaned up everything, asked me to come and inspect the job to make sure I was happy before they left and it was a wonderful job!!

They came out when they said they would and trimmed all our palm trees. The foreman came to our door and asked me to come outside to inspect their work. As usual, they did a great job. Our palms are very healthy and happy since we've been using Gulf Coast Tree Service to care for our trees.

Very well. Steve and his crew showed up right on time. The work done was very good and when finished there wasn't one twig left behind to clean up. The person who did the tree stump griding did leave a bit of a mess which we had to clean up. The work took about five hours total.

The boss came out one day to get an idea of the job. When we decided to go with his lower bid ($790 vs. $1500), he scheduled a three man crew, headed by an arborist, to come out a couple of days later to do the work. The trio worked well together, and were pleasant to deal with. They answered all our questions without any problem. They were done in about three hours.
