Would not show up sometimes and other times left early. Poor trim work.

Paid 1/2 of agreed price up front ($1200.00).  Contractor stated that she was working on a job at the Beach and would start the home when that job was finished.  After only infrequently showing up found out that the 'Job" was her permanent job as a painter at a Condo on the beach and she would only show up when not working on her permanent job.  When a Contractor with their own business says they will show up after finishing one job the expectation is they will devote full time to the agreed job once the other job is completed.... the other job turned out to of the "never completed" type.

Left hose turned on in yard three times, twice dumping water into the yard all night long till discovered the next day (once the hose was on but turned off at the nozzle end). This despite being advised that the hose was left on the first time it happened.

Was not a careful painter.  While the painting in the visible areas was good the painting in the unseen places (behind garage, etc) was not so good.

Acceptable priming job (that took over 2 weeks).  Some bad weather to blame but when weather was good she was just as likely as not to not show up.  Seemed to be her MO to leave her Permanent job early and spend an hour or two painting my home than leaving for a nearby Bar (where her truck was seen several times) after 5pm

Was not a conscience painter - found activity and evidence, such as badly splattered exterior power outlets that showed they had not been taped off to protect them from splatter.

Primer was same color as finish coat.

The final coat of paint is very thick as it is on almost all exterior paints and according to Sherwin - Williams should go on thick. Returned one evening to find she had ben there less than 4 hours but had somehow managed to paint almost the whole house (according to her) and had her hand out asking for more money.  Close Inspection showed that the side of the house was still primed and had not been painted at all while the front and the back and one side had.  In addition she had only used 4 gallons of paint for the alleged "painting the entire house".  Also found that the final coat on the front, back and one side had been watered down (not appropriate application method, hence only using 4 gallons).

At this point she was let go and given a few hundred more for a peaceful exit and priming the home.
