Tropical Creations Pool Service

This is a family business (father and son) both of whom are very friendly. The Father owns the business and provides some services. The Son happens to service my area. Although they were friendly, and their price was very reasonable, there was a lack of professionalism. My service was never done on time, my pool was consistently cloudy or even green, which was always blamed on my pool pump and not their service. I could see all the granular chemicals he had dumped in the pool just sitting on the pool floor. We were unable to used our pool for the entirety of their service. On top of the inability to use the pool due to the poor state of the water, the son very rarely showed up on the promised day. I found I had to send text messages every week asking when he would be showing up and more than 90% of the time we got an excuse about being behind, and he would show up on Saturday afternoon (which we had discussed several times as being a problem). After repeated calls to both father and son about my concerns, we finally decided to stop services with Tropical.
I had a service provider scheduled for a quote the same day of our last service appointment with Tropical. That fellow re-cleaned the pool (brushed and skimmed) for free (just hours after it had just been cleaned by Tropical), while we discussed my concerns and needs for service. The next week we started with our new service and our pool has been crystal clear ever since...Even with my old pool pump.
I wish them luck working out their personal issues and hope that their services improve. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them.

Sid is always on time and keeps the pool looking great.
He is available promptly for any pool problem.
He once replaced a failed pool pump for us in 2 hours so we could hold a scheduled party at poolside without a hitch.
I have used him for over 10 years, and highly recommend him.
