I got this person through the phone book and he came out and agreed to do the work for the amount of money that my insurance company agreed to pay for the repair. It took him about 3-4 weeks to finally get back with me about the work. He came to the house and suddenly decided that it would cost $400 more and promptly left. He spoke with the insurance company about the extra fee and they agreed to pay it. After that he came out again to start the work. He worked all day on the 14th, but never showed up the next day even though the area he was working in was still a mess. I gave him a call and asked him where he was and why he didn't let me know he wasn't coming back. The next day, he still hadn't come out by 1pm and told me he was waiting on a plumber. His son came out to paint the doors, but there was a chip in them and the paint wasn't right. I called him to come and fix the door and change the lock. He came out, didn't fix the door and tried to charge me an extra $90 to change the lock. I couldn't believe he was going to charge me that much for the lock, he was very rude to me and I asked him to leave. He broke my sweeper while trying to clean up the mess he left, I specifically told him I didnt want him to leave a mess because I am disabled senior and wouldn't be able to clean it up, he didn't do a very good job cleaning. I paid him the money I owed and asked him not to come back to my house to finish the job. I had someone else come out and check it later on and they informed me that the extra $400 was most likely a scam on the insurance company because the job was not worth that much extra.
Description of Work: I had a water leak from my water heater in my mobile home. I needed to have it taken out and fixed, put back in and have the water damage fixed.
