To start with I paid for materials and the labor + a bonus payment for an incentive to do a good job and finish on time before we even started the job.
He didn't come do the work when he said he was going to and he didn't finish the work on time either. I had to leave on vacation when he was about half way finished and when I came back I found that the quality of the work was not very good. The house is on the market and the first thing that potential buyers are seeing is that the newly painted beach house paint is chipping and pealing off the decks. I realized that they didn't properly prime the wood before painting it. They also under painted the railings of the decks and the spindles.
Now, he will not return my phone calls and emails, but he contacted me just fine while I was on vacation and he needed more money, which I wired to him and his account. I also emailed him pictures of the paint chipping and pealing off and he has not responded to that either. I want Angie's List members to stay away from him.
