My experience was the same as most of the reviewers here. He showed up, was there 5 minutes and said problem wasn't something he was familiar with and he would have to call a super technician. He said he would call me back as soon as he spoke with them. No calls that day, no calls the next day so I finally called him. He said he would call them the next day because he hasn't heard from the. The next day I received no call back. at just after 6pm I sent what I thought was a polite text. I said can you just let me know if you have any intention on helping me with this warranty issue so it will save us both some time and I can move on with the company. This guy actually called me back offended and mad at me for sending that question. He says "that text was uncalled for" I'm like uncalled for? What is a customer supposed to ask you when you keep telling them you will call them and then you never do? You are mad at me for asking that question? Seriously? He then calls me and says He was home now and hadn't had a chance to call me. At this point I gave up and now have to start the whole process over again with Frigidaire. Ready for the best part of the story. The owner then proceeds to lie to Frigidaire. He told them there was nothing wrong with the fridge and that he told me I should use charcoal packs for the smell. None of which he ever told me. He flat out lied because he knew that would make it harder for me to get warranty work done by someone competent. Before you use this company....read these reviews and those on Angie's list. There is a reason the score is only just over 3 on Google and only just over 2 on Angie's.

I prepaid through my home warranty company for a service call in early November... I received a text that I would hear from them within 24 hours... never did; since then I have called weekly and have NEVER received a return call, not once. Further, I have tried to reach a person at AHS to ask for a different provider and have not heard from them either. I NEVER write bad reviews but I am exhausted with trying to reach someone on this issue.

Called Whirlpool extended warranty company on Friday the 7th - stated that Big Bend appliance was to be service provider. Company was supposed to call with a 2 hour window for appt., warranty company had given a 4 hour window. Called Big Bend to find out time right before close of business as they had not called. Answering machine picked up, said leave message however mailbox full. Called Warranty company back and they called Big Bend and amazingly they answered after I am assuming they saw number of warranty company on caller ID. Serviceman comes on Monday and checks refrigerator/freezer and says new compressor needed, will order and call when it comes in. Told him would be out of town the next week but would call when back in town. Called on Monday the 17th, did not answer phone, left message. Gave them 48 hrs and called back. Still did not answer, left another message. Called warranty company who tried to call but was after close of business day. Representative stated that she left a detailed message and asked them to call me. Told me if I had not heard by midday to call warranty office back. Gave Big Bend till late afternoon, called with no answer, left another message. Called warranty company who called and got owner to answer. Owner stated he had received part but sent it back as emergency had come up and he had no serviceman. Asked Whirlpool warranty if company had been paid for first repair visit and records did not look like they had been paid yet. Answering phone or returning call and explaining circumstances would have been the courteous thing to do. Plan to review this company on every site that can be found.
Description of Work: Whirlpool refrigerator with bottom freezer not freezing at proper temperature, food items not all frozen, ie ice cream soft.

See above as I can't write anymore - it makes me mad just talking about it.
Description of Work: Had a new dishwasher that quit filling with water. It was just past the warranty so the company said they would send Big Bend Appliance out to see what the problem was. Since it was so new they would pay for the parts but I would have to pay for the labor. He came out, looked at it, flipped a switch or something and was gone in about 10 minutes. I wrote him a check for $80.00. In less than two weeks it was torn up again doing the exact same thing. I called him numerous times, he will not return my calls and now I think he has even blocked my number. Upon doing research and finding other reviews on his company, it looks like he might be telling the companies he contracts with that he is actually doing other work and getting reimbursed for services he has not performed. I am looking at his bill right now and he does not have an invoice number, his full name, the materials or labor itemized, etc. I let several months go by and tried again to get in touch with him, he will not return my calls. I feel like he has definitely ripped me off, did not repair my dishwasher and then would not even stand behind his work (or shoddy work). I also plan to file a complaint with the retailer that uses his services so that they will know the quality and type of business person they are working with. Do not call this business!

Repairman arrived promptly at the appointed time. Upon hearing about the noise it was making he immediately knew what the problem was. Repair was quickly made. Very professional and proficient. Will use again. In fact am expecting Big Ben Appliciance Repair to call any day to give me a date and time for repair of the ice maker. This trip will again be warranty work, hence no charge.
Description of Work: Replaced damper door between the freezer and frig. sections.

We purchased a new Frigidaire upright freezer a couple of months ago. Wonderful product...until a thin strip of ice kept appearing between the top of the door seal and the top inside of the cabinet. We called Frigidaire warranty service (which was very responsive also), and they made an appointment for us with Big Bend for 3 days later, between 8 a.m. and 12. I was instructed to call them the day before to get a more definite time. Big Bend gave a more precise window of between 10 a.m. and noon. At 1 minute before 10 the repairman arrived. He looked at the seal, pulled back the plastic gasket, tightened two screws on the top inside of the door, and pronounced the problem solved! He said this was not an uncommon problem with these freezers. Upon leaving, he apologized for arriving in his red pick-up truck, but the company van was in the shop. I told him I didn't care how he got to the appointment; I was just glad he was able to fix a simple albeit hidden problem.
Description of Work: Corrected ice build-up on new freezer door.
