My family saw  this house we fell in love with and wanted to buy.
from
my layman's eyes I knew that some things needed fixing but I was hoping
they were little things that I could handle bit by bit.
When I called Greg in,he was prompt to respond and was able to come out a few days after on a Saturday!
Greg was very punctual and arrived before I did and was already inspecting the outside of the house.
As
I approached ,he asked me if I wanted a fixer upper because so far from
the outside he had seen a lot of issues with the house.
He proceeded inside and saw a lot more issues with the plumbing,mold,lots of rotted wood and potential areas for termite.
At this point,he gave me a choice to continue with the inspection or to stop since there were numerous issues with the house.
I chose to stop as a previous inspector I had hired to see the house had
seen the same things as Greg and warned me about the house.
In Greg's case,he went above and beyond and pointed out the mold.
I am happy that I hired him as I was saved from spending thousands of dollars in a house that had many big issues.

Greg returned my call promptly, gave me an estimate over the phone.
I contracted him to do the inspection. He traveled about an hours distance
to the location and was right on time! He performed all inspections flawlessly.
He was truly my advocate and spent a great deal of time making sure
the home was thoroughly inspected.Greg answered every question I had
during the inspection. He was friendly, patient and Very Professional.
His final report was insightful, detailed and accurate. I would not think twice
about hiring Bell Inspection Service again or referring Greg to others.

I sent an email to see how about scheduling an appointment, and Mr. Bell replied right away.   He was prompt to the appointment,  thorough with the inspection,  patient in answering questions,  helpful with suggestions, and overall great to work with.  The final report was in my inbox very early the next morning.  We highly recommend his services.

Greg was not only on time but there at the property before my husband and I got there. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. During the inspection, he explained everything to me; even asking if I had questions after the explanation while moving from one room to the next. Although I had purchased 4 other homes before, each home inspection is full of surprises. Greg was professional, punctual and produced a decent home inspection report. Looking back, I just wish he had been a bit more thorough in some of the areas that we needed to correct in our new home.
My recommendation for all Angie's professionals is that they should to strive to be the BEST THEY CAN BE. In addition, do not forget to deliver a value-added service that would put them in front of their competitors. 
To deserve the top spot and credibility, professionals have to go above and beyond the call-of-duty and always overdeliver. In the case of Greg, he could have been more methodical to ensure that the inspection was totally understood by us. Only by overdelivering is that professionals can beat their competitors hands down. In today's economy, is not enough to "do what is expected".
Nevertheless, I recommend Greg and his work for home inspection services.

Greg is always on time, if not early, professional and polite to the homeowner and is very precise about looking over every detail in the house. He actually spends time with both parties so that fully understand the process that is about to take place.

When looking for a home inspector you need to find someone that comes with knowledge of buildings and code, together with an appreciation of warning signs and problem area's.  Greg has this background and experience.  The part I found most useful was the ability to join greg on the whole inspection and discuss items found, and to understand what he was looking for and found during the inspection. This as the buyer is important, you are able to make informed decisions and confirm area's of uncertainty

So many times you do not find services that engage with the buyer, and when looking at buying a florida home you need someone who can spot the warning signs.

Personally the report on one property actually saved my family from making a large financial mistake and buying the wrong property. As a buyer there are things you just don't see, and the inspection period is crucial. Having Greg consult and review , opening the hood to house was the best $400 bucks I have spent in a long time

Greg, showed up to the home on time and he was very professional and thorough.  The report he provides is very detailed and easy to read and understand.  I received  I recommend Bell Inspection for all of your home inspection needs.

Inspector was extremely knowledgeable, very thorough, precise, punctual, and friendly.    His pricing was very reasonable and he additionally gave us an Angies List Member discount.   Inspector answered any and all questions that we had.  His Inspection Report write-up was clear, concise and easily read by a layman.   My wife and I were 100% satisfied with his services and would highly recommend him to family, friends, and Angie List members.

This is our first home and so far everything seems to be painless including the inspection. I found Bell Inspection on Angie's list and chose them based on the ratings and reviews. I am glad I did. He was very nice from the start and very professional. When he was done the inspection he took me around and explained everything he checked for and everything he found in detail, and gave me tips on how to fix what was wrong and prevent any future problems.Now we have a lot more confidence in the home we are buying. Overall a great Experience!!

I called a few people including Greg while shopping for this inspection.  Others wanted to charge more, did not answer the call (it was Saturday morning), did not have the same qualifications, or could not do the termite inspection.  Greg could do both the home inspection and the termite inspection.  He has a long list of qualifications including 20 years of construction experience, mold assessor license, membership in INACHI, ICC certified building inspector, and certified Master Inspector!  His fees were reasonable and he was available for the call on a Saturday, so he was the obvious choice.

Greg arrived on time and spent about 3 hours on the inspection.  After finishing each section, he took us in a tour to show his findings.  In addition to pointing out trouble spots, he gave recommendations on how to deal with them.  For example, he found that the walls of the house were all concrete blocks except a bay window that was made of wood.  He recommended this to be treated for termite because it was too close to the pool's deck.

Greg also warned us of possible future issues.  For example, the A/C. unit was 14 years old, so he warned that it was approaching the end of its life and we would need to replace it soon.  He also pointed out that the heater was past its expected life and should be replaced.

The inspection was comprehensive and included many areas including roof, attic, ceiling, electrical, appliances, tile, outside walls, A/C, plumbing, and pool. 

Early next morning (at 7:21 AM) we received a neat copy of the written report via email.  This had all the trouble areas he mentioned including many photos.  We also got the Wind Mitigation report and the WDO report we requested.

The information was valuable as it helped us understand maintenance requirements for the house before we buy it.  Based on this information, we are revising our offer to account for the needed maintenance.  We included a copy of the report with our request.

I emailed Mr. Bell via the link on Angies List and received a call within 20 minutes on a Friday night.  He set an appointment with me for the following day (Saturday) to come out.  He went through the property carefully, called out the ares of concern for me and then followed through with an emailed report including photos the following morning.  I will use him again and recommend him without hesitation.

It was an excellent experience.  I researched Angie's List and, based on comments and ratings, decided to pursue Bell Inspection Service.  Greg scheduled a date that was mutually convenient, emailed pre-inspection instructions, and provided me with a quote.  Greg arrived on time and was very thorough.  Because I was in and out of the house while he was here, we discussed major findings and remedies as he progressed.  When he finished, I went to his web site and paid online via PayPal - my favorite payment vehicle.  Within 24 hours after he completed the inspection I had a report complete with pictures.  If you are looking for an inspection service, I recommend you engage Bell Inspection Service.

Greg Bell was extremely professional in coordinating the inspection with me and the listing broker. His inspection was very thorough and his advice and recommendations were very practical. Also, he was always available to answer any questions, both by phone and by email, that came up afterward, I had high expectations and Greg exceeded them all!

I picked Bell Inspections off a list from our realtor. They were fairly helpful over the phone. The inspection was done in a timely fashion, but done very poorly. In particular, the inspector wrote up that our house only had a 100 amp breaker box, which would have disqualified us for most insurance carriers. A second inspection revealed that the breaker box in question was a sub-panel. The 200 amp box was outside next to the electrical meter. We also paid an additional $75 for a termite inspection. The inspector informed us that rotted wood would have to be replaced in order for him to do a termite inspection (the second inspection was thoroughly completed with the wood in place). When we decided to have a second inspection, the inspector refused to refund us the $75 for the termite inspection that he never completed. I would never use him again, and I would not recommend that anyone else use him.
