PERFECTION!!!! ACCESSED THE ISSUE AND REPAIR WAS MADE.

Sunrise Elevator did not respond to my note/request. Here it is: In most simple terms, I would like Sunrise to stand behind its work. The tech who installed the micro-switches and replaced the Keeper on the 3rd floor did not install it properly and the arm on the micro-switch broke off after one use. I called in a week later and asked for the tech to come and repair his repair. The office woman told me that it would be an additional $190 service call. I told her that it was to fix the work that was done. She argued with me, telling me that it had been 10 years since previous service and it was likely something else. I told her that if it was something else, I would pay for the call, but I was not going to pay for a call to correct poor workmanship. We scheduled the 2nd service call. When the same tech arrived, he verified the problem as the broken micro-switch arm. He said it was a defective part that that it would need to be replaced, but there would be a $190 charge. I told him that it the micro-switch/keeper interface was not properly set and that caused the arm to break off. Regardless, I was not going to pay $190 for service to repair service not properly performed and/or Sunrise supplying defective parts. He picked up this things and left. I called the office to report the issue but the calls were never returned. I disputed the entire service charge, as a means to try to get the matter raised so it would be addressed. Visa contacted Sunrise, who then told them that it was not covered by their policy. Visa has asked me to either accept the charge or to further dispute it. I can do that, but I have already wasted enough time and money. I have a simple solution, Sunrise should send me a replacement micro-switch and I will have in installed myself. I do not want your tech back at my house as I do not trust his work. I have received no reply.

They came out the next day. Oiled and tightened some things. Works fine now.

We purchased an elevator from Sunrise Elevator that cost over $18,000.00. First off, they took a very long time to install the elevator. Then once it was installed we could not get it to work, we called and tried to have them service it. They would not come to service the elevator and get it to working, unless we paid the last installment. We said we would be happy to pay it, once it works. We have never gotten to use it, it gets stuck, you can't get the door open. We called and they were extremely rude to us and refused to help us. Instead they sued us for the final payment, and we had to hire someone else to get our elevator to working.
They are a very unreliable, unprofessional company. The last thing you want when hiring an elevator company is to hire one that won't service your elevator; for if you get stuck on it, and you have no one to service it, you are in big trouble.
We highly recommend that you do not use this company, for they are their own manufacturer. So you can not get their parts from anyone else but them. You want a more universal company so others can work on your elevator, otherwise you will have to hire to have the whole thing redone. The cost involved with that is very expensive.
Do not work with this company, they will not work with you. They are NOT registered with the BBB for a reason, so stay away from them. They are not professional and will take you for as much $ money as they can, and not deliver what you paid for.

The elevator needed to have new break pads and a new motor. They found the motor and had to fabricate brand new brake pads. Even while servicing they checked it and found a belt that needed to be replaced. I would highly recommend them.

They do a good job and I'm very pleased with them.

After installing the elevator and delivering a safety certificate and selling us an overpriced maintenance agreement, they declined to continue servicing it saying, a year after the fact, that it was "unsafe" and insisting we spend more money to make it safe. They said this was because of a trade association rule but the rule hasn't been adopted in Florida and, in any case, I called the trade association and they said it wasn't a rule and had been listed for several years-well before we had an elevator installed. They kept the money for the service agreement until I threatened to sue them and a year later finally returned it after repeated letters. The elevator doesn't work well and is scary to use. I've tried to work with them, asking for an appointment to work things out but they're non-responsive.

THE SERVICEMEN WERE FRIENDLY, BUT THE SALESMAN MISLEAD ME WITH A "HARD SELL." I USED THEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THE APPROXIMATE COST INCLUDES SERVICE AND INSURANCE.

THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BIGGEST IMPROVEMENTS THAT WE HAVE MADE TO OUR HOME. FINDING A CONTRACTOR WITH SUCH A GOOD REPUTATION HAS MEANT A LOT TO US. THE SYSTEM HAS HAD NO PROBLEMS AND HAS ADDED A LOT OF VALUE TO OUR HOME.
