Went great from first contact thru measurements and install. Wonderful craftsmanship can’t evem tell he had to reset cabinet above fridge to fix the crown molding and new drawer and floor look like they were part of the original cabinets. Great job overall.

Once I got on his schedule, cabinet was built quickly and exceeds my expectation. This is our second time using Barbour. The first time he built a custom work desk and bath cabinets. Both are standouts in our home. He is a real pro. Don't be turned off by his business-like manner- you'll love his finished work every time you look at it.

Communication went very smoothly and Ron received lied to all of my questions in a timely manner. I live out of state so I sent Ron a picture of what I was looking for along with wall measurements. OMG - the piece is 10’ x 8’ (or 9) x 24” and it is stunning! I initially thought I would paint it, sight unseen, but now that I see it the maple wood is too beautiful to cover. I was going to wrap the bottom in baseboard but now I think I will just put 1/4 round along bottom. That is why the pictures show a gap at bottom. I told Ron I was painting it and baseboards at bottom. I couldn’t be happier and I will definitely be using Ron again.

The transaction went great and was a culmination of months of frustrating shopping for an accent/storage cabinet. We needed a 36" tall accent cabinet/chest that would fit into a 36" alcove that was also around 16-17" deep. We went looking at stores or online and could not find a practical solution, plenty had a good height, almost all were either 30" wide or over 40", and almost all were only less than 12" deep or over 21" deep. So we decided to call Ron Barbour just to see what it would cost to have him make us a cabinet to fit our needs. We had used him in the past to build a fireplace mantel and integrated shelf unit out of cherry wood. Ron was very responsive to my emailed set of specs with an estimate that was not more expensive than many of the cabinets we found online(the ones that would work for us). I included a photo of a cabinet that had the kind of look we wanted. While we changed the design once, he was again responsive to our request. After we provided a sample color of stain. Within just 2 weeks he produced this wonderfully finished cabinet that met all our requirements. He used maple and a desired beadboard for our cabinet but he'll use whatever wood you'd like. It fit nicely into our alcove and had the depth we wanted for storage and clearance in front. We didn't even have to mess with the baseboards to get a good fit. It provided the great finishing touch to our master bath that we were looking for since we remodeled 3 years ago. This is a fine piece of furniture that will likely go with us anywhere we might go as we'd be happy to used it in any space of the house. We wanted something that could be used in other spaces besides the master bath. I come back to the main ingredient of our great satisfaction. Ron was able to provide this custom piece for a price that was competitive with everything else we looked at. My wife and I both highly recommend Ron Barbour for any finished wood project you might have. We got lucky in our quick timing because we know he is in high demand.

Punctual and totally professional

Ron Barbour built a large custom cabinet for our master bath remodel. It is solid cherry in a natural finish, with Shaker style doors, 8’ H x 36” W x 20” D, with two roll hampers on the bottom and four doors for linens etc on top. His work was beautiful with excellent attention to detail, he was a week ahead of schedule, the entire process was the easiest part of of my remodel, and he was very professional. I would highly recommend his services.

Ron did a beautiful job of creating new cabinet doors. He suggested a simple style that I liked, he primed them and delivered them very quickly. He even had a list of where each door went, with numbers on them so we wouldn't put the wrong doors on (we painted and installed them ourselves). He paid attention to detail and was prompt and courteous. I thought his price was very reasonable.

Final product exactly what we had discussed. Plus he was able to complete job ahead of schedule.

It went very well. Mr. Barbour was very meticulous on getting the cuts and angles made. He worked had to get a stain match that is nearly indistinguishable from the original.

Ron did follow up with a quote and pictures of examples. I did not end up using Ron after all but would recommend him if you are willing to wait.

Ron Barbour did an exceptional job making and installing our cabinets. They are beautiful! He was responsive, kept me informed, was helpful during the design stage, met all timelines, and followed through on all commitments.

Within 5 days of our first contact with him the job was done. He returned calls quickly, provided an estimate, and performed the job in less than 24 hours from delivery. The headboard looks wonderful.

Ron (the owner & craftsman) was a delight to work with; easy to reach; always made appointments on time; provided detailed and quick estimates; crafted gorgeous cabinetry with quick service.  Overall an awesome experience.

Let me start by saying that we live in Mass and are remodling a home in Florida, so it can be hard for us and our contractors as when we are down there we have a tight schedule and are trying to get a lot of things done at once! Ron was very responsive and was able to work with in our schedule. we scheduled a time for him to come by and take a look at the house and kitchen area and talk about what we wanted. He made some suggestions and after a little we he had a plan in mind. We asked him to draw it up and send it to us so we could review it and he did. on our next visit, we made plans with him to come by and see his shop and look at some of his work and we hired him. We told him our schedule for our next trip and he said he could get everything done before we came back which was great for us. Even though we made a few changes as we went along, Ron was able to keep to the schedule we wanted and had everything done on time. My wife and i just came back from seeing the kitchen and we love it! the work was great and we got everything we wanted and asked for. We would recommend him to anyone and would us him again if needed.

We are very happy with the craftsmanship and final installation of product. We consulted with the owner, he listened and delivered as we were expecting.

One word.... Amazing. We received several quotes, from custom to premade. Ron was very fair on pricing and gave us completely custom products. Every cabinet is different, to match the room it's in. He by far exceeded our expectations on every one. Don't waste your time with the others, like we did. Out of the 12 we contacted, 7 said they could not meet out needs and timeline. Ron has been ahead of schedule and the product could not be better.

He's very nice. He did everything exactly like we wanted. My wife drew up the designs and made him right to scale. We were very happy with it. He's the only would that would really do the custom made like we wanted. He's the only one we went with. He was nice to work with. I would tell my friends and relatives that he's the one to go to.

Ron's communication was prompt, his work exceptional, and the quality far above what we had inquired of other cabinet makers that we interviewed.
