We contacted Weather Tite in October 2014 to give us an estimate to replace the french door and transom window in our condo.  Grant, the salesperson, came to give an estimate.  He showed up on time and was very professional and courteous.  Grant was very responsive to emails and phone calls as we had a lot of questions about the process of replacing doors/ windows according to condo regulations and building code in Tampa.  We contracted with Weather Tite to do the installation.  Everything went off as promised, with a six week order time and installation done on the date that was convenient for us to be there.  We had the door/window installed on December 19, 2014.  The installers, Gene and John, showed up on time and completed the job in a prompt and professional manner.  They were wonderful to work with. They cleaned up after installation and answered all our questions.  We are very pleased with choosing Weather Tite and will be contacting them in the future to replace two bedroom windows.
Their price for the job was higher than another estimate we received but we decided to go with Weather Tite because of their professional demeanor and responsiveness.
We are waiting for heavy rain to make sure the door/window does not leak but so far are very pleased.
We would highly recommend Weather Tite.

Did an excellent job, were right on time, neat, and professional. Liked the job and windows so much that we called them back the next month to replace our two remaining architectural windows over the front door and bath. Kept us apprised of the status of our job, and afterwards took care of all paperwork regarding electric company rebate, county inspection, etc. Most definitely would do business with them again and have recommended them to friends.

Moved into home in 2013. Went through first "winter" with wind howling through sliders and "critters" getting in through windows that builder put into home. Received an estimate in Sept. 2014 from Weather Tite. A bit pricey but we wanted PGT Winguard (Hurricane impact resistant) windows and doors throughout and knew we would pay more than for standard double paned windows. My neighbor had used this company about three months before to replace three windows and recommended them. Josh Smith & another installer (I apologize for not remembering his name) came out and installed all windows and doors in three days time! Fantastic job performed! They cleaned up after themselves (which I appreciated). After inspection from County Codes, Ed (finishing expert) came out and finished the project, did some small adjustments to sliders and answered any questions. He was very informative and knowledgeable about how the PGT windows are manufactured. All employees including Adrienne (scheduling and animal lover), & Keith have been very professional and accommodating us on this project. And I have to admit that I was extremely hesitant about this project being completed without numerous callbacks but all my fears were unfounded. All in all, everyone involved was extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and available to answer questions that we had.

Our only objection was that he quoted us a high price and then kept giving discounts. Why not just quote the bottom line to begin with. Ultimately, we chose another company to do the work. Although we did not use this company, I would have no objection to recommending them.

Beware of small print contract clauses, and flashy full page newspaper ads. They got me to sign a contract, then raised the price 40% months later, saying "we did not accept the total deal" at our office, even though the salesman signed, and the President/owner reviewed it and accepted personally two deposits (in his office in Tampa) over a month apart on the well defined job proposed. They did return the deposits after raising the price, but delayed the project for months.

Upon initial phone call they were quick to set up a meeting for the estimate.  They were prompt and on time.  They had a special at the time of buy two windows, get one free.  I'm not sure exactly how that worked as the rep never showed me the actual figures for the savings, just the bottom line.  I scheduled the service and it took six weeks for the windows to come in.  The installers were right on time and very professional.  All was done in one day.  What I did not figure on was taking yet another day off to have them inspected by the county.  The county I live in will not give a window for time, just have somebody there all day.  After the windows passed inspection WeatherTite had to come back out to finish the framework.  Minor work which was done on a Saturday.  All in all I love my new windows although I thought they were a bit pricey.  The fact that the install was pretty much over with in a day made it better.  I've been through many many renovations that seem to take forever.

During the purchase process, Josh Tebbe/salesman was very aggressive, pushy and bad mouthed other window firms.   Their prices were EXORBITANT!  Until, I showed them a quote for the same product from another company -- then they matched it,  minus $100.00...    HUH?  why not give the good price to begin with.   Josh assured me that all installers are employees of the company.  The installers were subcontractors.  He lied about this. The subcontractors did a good job, except they installed windows that had flaws and I had to contact PGT to get them replaced.   They should have seen these flaws prior to installation.
PGT has been wonderful and the product is awesome.  I would not use Weathertite again.

When they scheduled a time, very prompt. Installation was flawless and work was excellent. Clean up the area and protected the furniture before removing old windows. Very courteous and professional throughout the process.

The initial contact and estimate process went well.  Josh was very knowledgeable and had a clear plan of what we wanted to accomplish with this project.  He was able to give me a couple of options.  The date came for our install and they showed up on site with the wrong windows.  Communication between their office and mine went back and forth for a bit as to what was supposed to be done.  They finally, after looking back at the original paperwork, noticed they were wrong and put my old windows back in and said the office would be in touch with me to schedule another install time.  That was in June.  We then had to wait another 3 weeks to get the new windows in.  They showed up at the end of July to do the install.  The 2 men they sent out seemed to have a problem getting things going and were instructed several times by our maintenance chief on site that what they were doing would cause leaks.  They installed the new windows over the course of a week.  They look good with the exception of how much of a lip that is tilted back towards the windows themselves where the water from rain now puddles and stands and will eventually cause water damage.  They were notified while installing this would happen because of the lip they left, yet nothing was done to resolve this issue.

An excellent overall experience!!   The gentleman that came out to make the final measurements was courteous and professional.  He even made templates of the more difficult windows to insure there would be no fit issues.    From the start they communicated the time line very accurately.  After a couple of weeks passed, they set out a letter to update the progress and insure us that everything was on schedule.

The installation was scheduled for two days and they finished as promised.  They were on time both days and preformed a quality installation. The most important thing is they left my house clean and in the condition they found it.

I called the office to get the information to process my Duke Energy rebate.  I was instructed to send the forms in and they would prepare it for me.  Great customer service!

Bidding the same product (PGT Windows and Doors of Sarasota County), Weathertite was $11,000 more than the low bidder and $7000 more than the next higher bidder. Considering all three bidders were proposing the same PGT products and all were highly rated by Angie's List, we went with the low bidder and are very happy with the installation and the product.

Windows were broken on site and pieces were scattered all over driveway
Windows on top of front door are coming apart.  Called to see if someone comes to fix it.  Afraid that with the hurricane season approaching that the window is going to fly away.
Expensive compared with similar windows on the market.
Decided not to replace the remaining windows with them.

It went horribly. I asked over five or six times for an itemized quote. He sent an email with ten attachments, all useless, including a scan of his business card. But that was in response to "can you please explain how you arrived at $18k by itemizing this quote?" All this company will give you is their cost; they will not explain how they arrived at their cost. If you expect an itemized quote, don't bother calling, you won't get one. Even if you point out to the man how silly he is being.

The reps showed up timely and professional in attire. They measured and gave us numerous options. We had everything agreed upon and signed paperwork within a half hour. They called and followed up and gave us a good discount. The door was special ordered and arrived earlier than planned, and installed earlier than planned. The installers were wonderful. They were professional, friendly, worked really well together and cleaned up every speck before they left. There was a little issue with the fit, but they fixed it, and after a few weeks, there was a little issue with the screen coming off the track, but they fixed that quickly, without a problem. This was a great experience.

I dropped by the Weathertite showroom to inquire about replacing a wooden and glass exterior door with a similar looking door made of materials more appropriate for our weather. Met an employee who was very, very nice. I liked the product he showed me and he seemed to know the product details reasonably well. He was a newer employee and was not actually a salesperson, but was learning that side of the business as well. I made an appointment for the employee to come to my home, measure the door and its opening, and submit a quote. He arrived on time and was very nice. He answered all my questions. For the questions to which he did not know the answer, he called "Mr. Hollander", the owner. I felt comfortable that my concerns were addressed fairly and knowledgeably. I made it very clear that I was on a very strict timeline. I would be going out of town and the new door absolutely had to be installed before I left. I was assured that, with although the company preferred more time, my timeframe was workable. I met with 2 other contractors. Weathertite's quote was in the middle of the three quotes. As I really liked the salesperson, I decided to go with Weathertite. The salesperson gave me his cell phone number, and was always very receptive to my calls, returned calls promptly, and even came to my house in the evening of April 2 to do the paperwork for my order. I gave him a down payment of $492.00. Again, I let him know that the MOST important piece of this puzzle was the installation date. Although it would be close, he said they could put a rush on it and have it installed before I left. I was told they would send an engineer out to measure the area and once that was done, the order would be submitted. The company's commitment to my order was not finalized until the engineer had signed off on it. I was told I could cancel my contract within 3 days. It took nearly a week before they could send an engineer to my home. This delay was due to their schedule, not mine. Once the engineer arrived, I learned that my salesperson had listed the wrong product on my contract, and that my door opening was an unusual size and so the door would need to be special ordered. The engineer said he would check with his manufacturer to see if they could meet my time constraints. I was not upset by this news and still planned to work with the company in the future if this job didn't work out. I had no problem with the fact that my salesperson was learning the ropes and might have made a mistake. Indeed, once we saw that my door was an unusual size, I asked the engineer to look at a couple of other things I would need to replace in the near future. I wanted to get his ideas about what the best products for those areas would be. It was more than a week before I heard back from the company. My salesperson called, and left me a message apologizing for his mistake. He said that the special order door I would need could not be delivered before my trip. I believe there were now 4 weeks before my trip. He offered the option of having it installed while I was away, although I had told him when he came to my home the first time that this would not work. I then returned his call and left him a voicemail telling him that I could not continue with this order due to the scheduling issue. I thanked him for his efforts. I did not speak to him again. I then called another company, which made my door locally. It was installed on May 2. The whole process with this company took less than 3 weeks. In July, I received a call from Weathertite trying to schedule my installation. This was quite a surprise to me. After I explained the situation, the lady from Weathertite said she would figure out what happened and call me back. It was my salesperson who called. After some discussion, and two phone calls, during which I stated that under no circumstance would I pay the balance due for a door I did not order, he said he would see if he could fix it so that I only lost my deposit (which the company still had). I found this to be unacceptable as well. He said he would work it out with his bosses and call me back. I did not receive any more calls. I did not receive return calls or messages to the calls I made to him. In September, October, and November I made numerous calls to Michael Hollander, owner of Weathertite. I was never able to reach him. The many messages I left with his staff were unanswered. I am sure I don't have to explain the frustration and anger I felt and still feel about this situation. I was more than understanding about the situation until Weathertite held me responsible for their mistake. My theory is that they had a new salesperson who was excited about making a sale. He was probably sensitive, as well, to my satisfaction and really wanted to "help me" replace my door. Unfortunately, he dropped the ball and instead of a satisfied future customer, they have an angry, dissatisfied "customer". What I find most troublesome is that the owner, Michael Hollander, showed such a low level of integrity. His many television commercials indicate that he is very interested in building this company. We have enough shady contractors. My experience with Mr. Hollander and his company leads me to believe that he belongs in that category.

The installers arrived just before 8 AM and immediately started the job. There were two installers and after getting the first window wrecked out, the second man went to removing the old windows while the other set about fitting the new windows.
They had a good system going and the work went like clock work. Both of them were very knowledgeable and professional.
They finished the job in one day and after finishing they cleaned up everything and left nothing behind. They then set about instructing my wife and I on the operation of the new windows and then had us fill out the forms requesting the inspection.
They were probably not the cheapest firm for the job but I would rather pay a little more for a good outcome for the job and I certainly feel that is what I got.
Overall, a very good experience right from the the salesperson through to completion
