The Salon & Spa at Mystic Hair

This is the second time I have been treated poorly at this salon. The first time several weeks ago the stylist was at the pet store because she forgot she had an appointment with me. Had to be phoned to come to salon. I waited 25 minutes. Today she was 20 minutes late for the appointment and then it took far longer than it should have to complete my hair coloring/cut.

I had my hair cut somewhere I thought was great.

It went very well and look great.  She was very professional and I enjoyed having my hair done.  The price was a little steep.  But I got what I wanted.

He was a fantastic stylist and very knowledgeable about the color selection considering my base color. This was my first visit and definitely not the last. I have already recommended him to my friends and they too will continue service there. Awesome personality and very professional with great hair results!

First, let me say, I don't mind the cost if I walk out pleased.  However.....
This was my 3rd visit.  My first was haircut only.  That was actually a good haircut.  Second visit was for highlights.  Highlights did not process enough and were gold and brassy. 
Third visit was mainly for roots.  Melissa offered to put a few highlights in crown to break up the previous brassy highlights.
Again, that was a disaster.  I noticed while shampooing that something was different and asked what she was doing.  She then told me she was doing a glaze/toner which I would not have agreed to. I assume that was because the new highlights weren't done properly either. This left my total color ashy and drab.  
I agreed to a" trim" at her suggestion.
So, the bottom line is my hair looked better before I walked in that day. (I have since pulled my hair through a cap myself and corrected the highlights.)
I was charged for roots, full haircut, color.  and $20.00 for the glaze that I never agreed to. 
I  asked for an itemized bill and then saw that a $15.00 "chemical fee" had been added.  I got an explanation but it didn't make sense to me.
It is a lovely shop and I really liked Melissa but just didn't work out for me.
Just be sure to get prices "up front" and an itemized bill!!!!!!
(After sending a message to the website the owner did contact me back informing me that I had agreed to the glaze etc. and trying to explain the extra chemical service fee. When I explained the situation he did offer to refund the $20.00; but , of course, that was beside the point for me)

I really didn't feel like it was a great haircut.  The sides were uneven.  My daughter also got a haircut with another stylist and hers wasn't any better.  The stylists are very nice.

She is very professional and listens to what you would like her to do.  She works very hard to achieve the look that you want.

I had a sublime relaxing experience from door to door. Jamie, my hair salon specialist, exceeded my expectations providing the right color and cut I needed. The salon provides unparalleled knowledgeable service and in addition personal attention to details of creature comforts such as hot tea, a line of cosmetics, and mouthwatering jewelry. Going to Mystic Hair salon, while expensive, is worth every penny considering the spa like quality and ability to detatch from my day to day routine.

All staff are very friendly and courteous. Nice surroundings. Good haircuts. She listens to what I want and is very accomodating.

This place was great! It didn't look like much from the outside but looks amazing and huge inside with great modern and clean setup. The technician was great and the whole experience was very relaxing and would definitely recommend it again.

He is an absolute artist and I am very satisfied with him. I see him on a regular basis.

I love going to Mystic hair. The staff is very friendly and always making sure you're taken care of. I also love the environment of the salon. I feel refreshed when I leave Mystic Hair Salon.

The last time I had an appointment with this salon, the girl I wanted was not available so I was given another girl with a better level of experience. This level means nothing! She cut my already shorter hair style very uneven to the point that I had to call back after I got home and had a chance to view it with a mirror to have it fixed. (I now know why she did not allow me or offer me to view it from behind.) This same girl was not available to fix today...but I was told that another girl could do it. I settled with another since I could not wait another week to see the original girl as they wanted me to do. This girl proceeded to fix it. BIG MISTAKE! I came out with the unevenness fixed but it was cut way too short for my comfort level!! She only needed to cut one side to match the other side. It took me several months for my very thin hair to grow back to the point where I felt good about my hair style again.

After much time had passed and having a few other stylists from other salons cut my hair ( a simple bob cut with layers) in the meantime, I decided to give the girl I liked best from Mystic another try. I booked an appointment 3 weeks ahead of time and even called back later that week to confirm the time and date. I always put my appointments on my calendar as I am a very busy person. This said, they called today and spoke to my husband to confirm a different time. (changing from a 9 AM earlier confirmed appointment to a 6:15 PM). Prior to leaving from work this morning I had mentioned that my appointment was at 9 AM so when the girl called and got my husband he went to check my appointment calendar where I had clearly written 9 AM. He was fed a story that the girl did not work that early on my appointment day. He questioned her to double check... when she came back she stated that she did work early that day. He came back with the fact that I had written the appointment in my calendar and questioned whether I was being bumped??? She said that they would never do that??? Donna the receptionist then said another girl of equal experience could cut my hair at my original appointment time. DOES anyone there keep their appointments? He hung up to contact me again at work where I am not suppose to take personal calls. I told him to simply cancel the appointment. I was not going to see some unknown there again and I do not do business with people who cannot be truthful and keep their appointments as scheduled. Who is to say that at 6:15 PM she won't have an emergency and go home.?? I would not recommend this salon to anyone again. There are more than 1 Spa and Hair stylist salon in town.

It's simply the best! The quality is unbelievable and better than any I've ever had.

Overall, I like the vibe of their salon. It's active, but not crazy. Anyone I've dealt with has been pleasant and cooperative. Donna, at the front desk is very personable and extremely helpful. I've gone to the salon 5 or 6 times since discovering them and will continue to do so even after I move a farther distance away. Meghan is my colorist/stylist and is a gem!

The customer service is great. It is very serene and everything that I like in a spa. It is clean, calm and inviting. The employees are great.

LoVe the experience at Mystic Hair! Great stylists with a super attitude and amazing talent! Never a bad hair day!
