The plumber came right away and was very efficient. However, I believe that $775.00 for 2 hours of work is simply too much. I also didn't appreciate the high pressure he placed on making a sale. I do feel like I was taken advantage of because I needed assistance immediately.

We had no hot water. I made the mistake of Googling tanklless water heaters rather than consulting Angie's List. The Pink Plumber site claimed they would install a tankless water heater from $795. I called to make an appointment to have them provide an estimate for our particular installation. They wanted to charge a $45 fee to give me an estimate. When I said I wouldn't pay the fee they agreed to waive it. This should have been a red flag.
When the plumber arrived he told me that a new tankless heater would cost $3500 but not to worry he could fix my present one. So, I told him to have a look and give me an estimate of what repair would cost. After taking a look he told me that he would need to run a full diagnostic for $165 but it would be credited to the repair. Facing another day of cold showers, I told him to proceed.
After a cursory inspection, he told me that the logic board was bad, that it would cost $450 to fix, it would take 5 days for the board to be shipped in and that I would have to give my credit card number to the plumbing supply company before they would ship it. I told him that I would try to find a board locally and he could return and install it. He said if I chose that path he would not credit back my $165 inspection fee. Now I was seeing red flags all over the place, so, I asked him leave. He would not do so until I paid him the $165 inspection fee.
The next day I found a local plumber through Angie's list and he replaced the unit for $1250 (one third of what the Pink Plumber wanted to charge me).
