TB WATER

Water Softener Service, Water Pumps, Water Coolers,

About us

TB Water is the leader in water purification for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Living in Florida we have all heard the term "hard water". Private well owners have the responsibility to prove their own means of treating even worse water problems. We do FREE WATER TESTING. We test for common water problems like hardness ( calcium and magnesium ) iron, PH, chlorine and ammonia (chloramine) Hydrogen Sulfide gas, manganese, tannin, iron bacteria and other unique problems. We will beat any estimate on the same equipment or equivalent by 10%. We DO NOT employ ANY commissioned sales reps who use high pressure tactics and scary stories to force you into making a impulse buy. We welcome our customers to shop around other competitors but advise them to compare apples to apples as GOOD THINGS ARE NOT CHEAP AND CHEAP THINGS ARE USUALLY NO GOOD. We service what we sell. We install all of our equipment and back it with a PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY in addition to the factory warranty provided by the manufacturer. We service all makes and models and do everything from annual filter changes, valve rebuilds, salt deliveries and quarterly maintenance. We test your water before we recommend any repairs in front of you to show you that you are not being swindled. DO NOT LET ANOTHER COMPANY TELL YOU THAT YOUR SYSTEM CANNOT BE REPAIRED. THEY ARE ONLY LOOKING TO HUSTLING YOU INTO BUYING ANOTHER SYSTEM. WE ONLY RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT IF THE EQUIPMENT IS OUTDATED AND THE COST OF REPAIR IS TOO HIGH.

Do not use this company. Dave, the owner talks a good game. He assured me he knew the system inside out. In October he did a repair that failed within three months.....Cost $500. He came back in February and charged me another $500 to re-bed my filter tank. The problem still persisted. When I contacted him to come back out, he complained that he did not install my original system. He evidenced no commitment to customer satisfaction and was totally insensitive to the frustration over his poor performance and service. He claims to "know it all" and claims great "passion" for his work. He is only interested in overcharging and overselling to replace otherwise functional products. DON'T USE HIM!!!! I had a second company come out and they repaired the problem in less than 30 minutes by replacing a valve.

It went very smoothly. Done in 1 day, cleaned up after themselves and took the time to explain to me exactly how the system works.

Dave The Water Man is the Best!! Excellent products for which he is passionate about them. Gives a clear explanation of products, services, recommendations and demonstrates the water quality or, as I our case, lack of quality. He clearly explains the operation after install and he follows up for maintenance. Top Notch service and NO hidden costs, such as drilling hole in granite for water facet. So glad we got the reverse osmosis, now when my ice cubes melt , I drink them....drinking more water as the taste is Fantastic, NO MORE bottled water! My towels and laundry are SOFT , no mineral spots on dishes or glass shower doors... Free salt for one year Why would you go anywhere else? Thank you Dave!!

Dave, the owner, personally came to my residence and installed everything. He carefully reviewed and educated me on each of the items that he offered, and helped me make the best and economical sound choice for my family. He worked in a timely and professional manner that impressed me to tell others about his service. He earned my trust.

David came out promptly, assessed our problem, & gave a very professional yet personable sales presentation. Although not the cheapest price, both my wife & I knew pretty much immediately that we were going to have them do the work. He installed a new softener/conditioning system that afternoon. Thus far we are very pleased with the performance of the system. They also back up their products with an ongoing, in-writing service commitment. That alone makes this a very good deal in our opinion. David is obviously very committed to & proud of his projects - and we look forward to his continued support.

To start with. Let me say this, Dave, the owner/operator is probably the best person that I have ever had do work for me. I called him about a water Softener on Thursday, he offered to come the next day at 1pm which i accepted. He promptly showed up at1pm with a very professional business van and immediately introduced himself, handing me a couple of business cards. He was professionally dressed with a TB Water Shirt. He quickly identified my existing non working softener as one that should have been installed as an outside unit. He took water samples and to no surprise my water was very high in chlorine and other substances. Dave then described the different options he would suggest, describing the differences between his products and what Lowes, Home Depot and other retail outlets. After consideration i chose an upscale unit, yes more expensive than the Lowes/Home Depot options, but in quality in product, installation, warranty, i was completely satisfied with my Pro SERIES softener. He had a unit on the truck and immediately began to remove the old unit and replace it with an impressive unit. Dave was meticulous in work, down to polishing the tank, precisely applying the TBWater sticker and even securing the power chord so that it was taunt! Every business man should be so conscientious. I recommend TB Water Technologies without reservation.

Not good ... he took part of the system apart but refused to properly reassemble the system after I informed him that could not afford to pay for what he was recommending. I would not recommend the use of this company!!!! I paid his a service charge of $40.00

"I think this will be the last $40 inspection we will perform. When a customer calls and says they think it probably time to upgrade their system with a new one but would like someone to come out to "take a look" at the old one, we say it's just $40 to get us out there. We show up to find a 20yr basic mechanical old leaking softener from the 80's that the customer knows full well it needs to be replaced. Sometimes people just don't wanna spend any money at all but just waste someone's time. I gave this gentleman 2 options. Completely tear apart and rebuild the system with all new parts and resin Cost $400 total including labor A very fair price Or upgrade to a newer digital metered system for $1299 which I had ready to go on the truck and could've done on the spot. But lately customers want to "shop around" not only on new equipment but now on service calls as well. I'm srry but we can it run a profitable business if we drove out to customers homes and gave free estimates to service a system only to have customers allow 3 other companies show up to plot us all against each other to get the lowest of low prices. Is it smart to invest $400 into a 20yr old shot leaking water softener? This gentleman then says "but what if I just pay you to rebuild the head only" In his mind this would "fix" the shot system I say $150 He then has me disassemble the control valve, only to then decide he has to "save up" the money. The question is "why do people that don't have the money call a service company and set an appointment for repair if the can't afford it? These $40 inspections I think confuse people as to what exactly is going to happen. We refuse to disassemble ANY softener until we first go over the cost to repair and get an ok to perform work. Why take something apart if you have no intention to fix and just say hey, put it all back together now! This guy had a leaking softener that badly needed to be put in bypass. The main piston was leaking and it's absurd to reinstall shot parts. The system was left in bypass and the customer was instructed to either repair or replace the system. We only seem to get a negative review from someone who spends $40 to have us drive out only to have our time wasted. We will no longer be offering a $40 inspection on AL."

I moved and called David. He came out and removed the equipment. He stored it for me for one month and when I moved he came out and installed it and did a great job. It is a neat clean look on the outside and the water is nice and soft and clean. He also reinstalled the RO system in the kitchen. He also ran a line from there to the refrigerator so I have nice clean water. Very happy and he cares about the quality of work he does. Will only use David. I recommend him to anyone. He also replaced the kitchen faucet with a new quality faucet.

Was very impressed with the timeliness of Daves's response. He was able to come out same day as initial phone call to evaluate our water softening needs. We agreed upon the system that would best suit our home needs and Dave arrived promptly the next day to install. We didn't have the need for the filter system; went with the pro series conditioner/softener. Dave did a great job on install and made sure that all hookups and wiring was neatly done. Dave takes great pride in his work and in his company and it shows! I have no doubt that even after the sale/install he will be available to answer any questions or concerns we may have.

This man/company is the most unprofessional business I have ever witnessed. My friend's well just blew and she is having a professional plumber evaluate whether this was caused by the shoddy work of TB Water or not.
Response from

"We have never done business with [Member Name Removed] as this is a second attempt to damage our reputation. We did upgrade a very old inoperable well water treatment system and never did any work on the actual well or pump. [Member Name Removed] I was told was a house guest and had all her belongings packed into the garage if the home we installed a new system on. In the process of draining the water heater and replacing a damaged heating element , about 1 gallon of water leaked onto the floor, we had to act fast to save the furniture and other boxes/items from water seeping under and causing mold or damage, I saw a bag of old looking folded towels and grabbed 2 to soak up some clean water, and hung them to dry. They were not brand new with tags on them as she describes and also say we went through "all her boxes and sheets are included now too". The stories keep getting deeper and deeper. Her friend refused to pay us for the service and is trying to bash our company. We strive to provide the best customer service for all our customers. We never "dumped chlorine down her well" If fact what we did do at the customers request was try to shock chlorinate her very bad plumbing that was coated with slime and iron/sulfur bacteria from many years sitting in a non working state. This customer feels that her very bad well water and plumbing issues are TB Water's problem."

Dave replace entire water system for $3500 and it still smelled and then the water ran black. I asked him upon first meeting, "will your system fix my problems?" and he said, "yes, it will and no matter what I will make sure to have it working perfectly". Three times he didn't show up when promised and then complained to show up on a weekend when I had black water in my home. He blamed me, he blamed the plumbing, he blamed the well...but what happened was Dave put in a beautiful new system that probably works fine, but it wasn't the core of the issue and I believe he knew that before he took the job. I believe he knew that his system wasn't the answer but did it for the money. He was rude unprofessional when I told him the system wasn't doing what I had been told it would. He stated that because I am a single female homeowner that I was "lucky" to have him there to install the system. He used brand new designer towels that were in my garage to soak up his chlorinated water and when I asked him why he used them, he said, and I quote " nobody was around, they're just towels, you'll live". I've owned my own business for 17 yrs and I would never speak to a client like that. Dave appears charming and seems to know about water, but I think his business is getting too big and he no longer cares about quality, he just cares about making the money and it's sad because safe water for your family is priceless. I cannot recommend Dave.

He left and he finished with the working. They left and it didn't work. I think he has his own business with selling stuff. After he left, I have the same problem. Price was fine. I thought quality was okay. He was professional. I would consider them if I had another system put in.

He told me my old unit was dead, which I suspected, so he tried his best to sell me a new water softener. His water analysis is testing the chlorine level with a swimming pool test kit. And he didn't leave the bags of salt.

"Thankfully Angie's List allows a response because there's always 2 sides to every story. I will personally mail this customer his $40 back so he has no hard feelings. In the 10 years I have been in business I have never seen a water system in more of a deplorable condition. When a digital circuit board is so melted from cooking in direct sunlight it will not turn on, and there's 50 wasps living inside and the salt tank is full of water with algae growing inside, the question is, what are we called out to inspect? The customer knows full well that system hasn't worked in years and that it needs to be disposed of. When you give a customer several options, as we have 7 different models on our website and also offer a lease for as low as $35 per month, and they still refuse to upgrade and replace, that's all we can do. I was there maybe 15 minutes, talked outside, no pressure or hard sales tactics, just friendly conversation. Its terrible when we hear "tried hard to sell us a new one." We wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't offer to replace the shot water system with a new one. When you drive an hour each way to inspect a completely shot big box store $399 disposable waterboss that cannot be repaired, but still keep a positive attitude knowing your time has been wasted all for $40. Yes we do carry a pool test kit as the city municipality uses Chloramine (chlorine and ammonia) to treat water. I'm most cases it tests out higher than a normal swimming pool. The chloramine ruins water softeners and customers are losing water pressure all over Tampa Bay as a result of poor water quality. The customer never mentioned or asked for the salt which we provide for operational systems."

Everything went well. Dave answered the phone right away and was able to come out same day (or next day I can't remember) It was quick. Came out and inspected my water softener. Gave me an idea of what it would take to get it back up to speed and we agreed to have him come back a week later. He was able to get all of the parts needed and did come out to repair that following week. He also recommended replacing my RO system as the one I had was cheap and it bad shape. Good water so far.
