TB Water is the leader in water purification for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Living in Florida we have all heard the term "hard water". Private well owners have the responsibility to prove their own means of treating even worse water problems. We do FREE WATER TESTING. We test for common water problems like hardness ( calcium and magnesium ) iron, PH, chlorine and ammonia (chloramine) Hydrogen Sulfide gas, manganese, tannin, iron bacteria and other unique problems. We will beat any estimate on the same equipment or equivalent by 10%. We DO NOT employ ANY commissioned sales reps who use high pressure tactics and scary stories to force you into making a impulse buy. We welcome our customers to shop around other competitors but advise them to compare apples to apples as GOOD THINGS ARE NOT CHEAP AND CHEAP THINGS ARE USUALLY NO GOOD. We service what we sell. We install all of our equipment and back it with a PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY in addition to the factory warranty provided by the manufacturer. We service all makes and models and do everything from annual filter changes, valve rebuilds, salt deliveries and quarterly maintenance. We test your water before we recommend any repairs in front of you to show you that you are not being swindled. DO NOT LET ANOTHER COMPANY TELL YOU THAT YOUR SYSTEM CANNOT BE REPAIRED. THEY ARE ONLY LOOKING TO HUSTLING YOU INTO BUYING ANOTHER SYSTEM. WE ONLY RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT IF THE EQUIPMENT IS OUTDATED AND THE COST OF REPAIR IS TOO HIGH.

"I think this will be the last $40 inspection we will perform. When a customer calls and says they think it probably time to upgrade their system with a new one but would like someone to come out to "take a look" at the old one, we say it's just $40 to get us out there. We show up to find a 20yr basic mechanical old leaking softener from the 80's that the customer knows full well it needs to be replaced. Sometimes people just don't wanna spend any money at all but just waste someone's time. I gave this gentleman 2 options. Completely tear apart and rebuild the system with all new parts and resin Cost $400 total including labor A very fair price Or upgrade to a newer digital metered system for $1299 which I had ready to go on the truck and could've done on the spot. But lately customers want to "shop around" not only on new equipment but now on service calls as well. I'm srry but we can it run a profitable business if we drove out to customers homes and gave free estimates to service a system only to have customers allow 3 other companies show up to plot us all against each other to get the lowest of low prices. Is it smart to invest $400 into a 20yr old shot leaking water softener? This gentleman then says "but what if I just pay you to rebuild the head only" In his mind this would "fix" the shot system I say $150 He then has me disassemble the control valve, only to then decide he has to "save up" the money. The question is "why do people that don't have the money call a service company and set an appointment for repair if the can't afford it? These $40 inspections I think confuse people as to what exactly is going to happen. We refuse to disassemble ANY softener until we first go over the cost to repair and get an ok to perform work. Why take something apart if you have no intention to fix and just say hey, put it all back together now! This guy had a leaking softener that badly needed to be put in bypass. The main piston was leaking and it's absurd to reinstall shot parts. The system was left in bypass and the customer was instructed to either repair or replace the system. We only seem to get a negative review from someone who spends $40 to have us drive out only to have our time wasted. We will no longer be offering a $40 inspection on AL."
"We have never done business with [Member Name Removed] as this is a second attempt to damage our reputation. We did upgrade a very old inoperable well water treatment system and never did any work on the actual well or pump. [Member Name Removed] I was told was a house guest and had all her belongings packed into the garage if the home we installed a new system on. In the process of draining the water heater and replacing a damaged heating element , about 1 gallon of water leaked onto the floor, we had to act fast to save the furniture and other boxes/items from water seeping under and causing mold or damage, I saw a bag of old looking folded towels and grabbed 2 to soak up some clean water, and hung them to dry. They were not brand new with tags on them as she describes and also say we went through "all her boxes and sheets are included now too". The stories keep getting deeper and deeper. Her friend refused to pay us for the service and is trying to bash our company. We strive to provide the best customer service for all our customers. We never "dumped chlorine down her well" If fact what we did do at the customers request was try to shock chlorinate her very bad plumbing that was coated with slime and iron/sulfur bacteria from many years sitting in a non working state. This customer feels that her very bad well water and plumbing issues are TB Water's problem."
"Thankfully Angie's List allows a response because there's always 2 sides to every story. I will personally mail this customer his $40 back so he has no hard feelings. In the 10 years I have been in business I have never seen a water system in more of a deplorable condition. When a digital circuit board is so melted from cooking in direct sunlight it will not turn on, and there's 50 wasps living inside and the salt tank is full of water with algae growing inside, the question is, what are we called out to inspect? The customer knows full well that system hasn't worked in years and that it needs to be disposed of. When you give a customer several options, as we have 7 different models on our website and also offer a lease for as low as $35 per month, and they still refuse to upgrade and replace, that's all we can do. I was there maybe 15 minutes, talked outside, no pressure or hard sales tactics, just friendly conversation. Its terrible when we hear "tried hard to sell us a new one." We wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't offer to replace the shot water system with a new one. When you drive an hour each way to inspect a completely shot big box store $399 disposable waterboss that cannot be repaired, but still keep a positive attitude knowing your time has been wasted all for $40. Yes we do carry a pool test kit as the city municipality uses Chloramine (chlorine and ammonia) to treat water. I'm most cases it tests out higher than a normal swimming pool. The chloramine ruins water softeners and customers are losing water pressure all over Tampa Bay as a result of poor water quality. The customer never mentioned or asked for the salt which we provide for operational systems."
