Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

He came over and snacked the drain. We have not had any problems since.

I had taken half of the old parts out of the tank myself and could not get the tank off of the base. So I called ROTO ROOTER - The Technician installed MY parts in my toilet tank that lasted half an hour or less and charged $245.00 for half hour of work. (or $490.00 / hr) Highway Robbery. I tried to get a price over the phone when I originally called but they say that the technician decides what the prices are per job. So when the technician comes out and gives the price - he says he can not do anything because the office tells him what to charge. So right there - THEY ARE LIARS. They figure they will get the guy out there and you will just pay the exhorbitant price. SO BUYER BEWARE.

The plumber arrived around the time expected. He did a good job fixing the leaky spigot. But when he tried to fix the toilet the replacement flapper he used did not fix the problem. The toilet still ran and then the chain broke so the toilet became unusable and I had to shut the water off because the water was leaking out of the tank and wouldn't stop running. The problem was when I tried to get them back out there to fix it they told me they couldn't accommodate my schedule. They said they would try to send someone out but they never showed up. So I bought a new flapper and fixed the toilet myself. Then they called me back and said the would come out that night after I fixed it myself. Too little too late. Now I paid over $100 for something I had to fix myself. I had to buy a new part. They don't honor their warranty. Basically they stole my money.

Their price was a little high, but the quality was good. The responsiveness was great. They were here in an hour and a half. They were real good.

Nick was wonderful! He had to actually make a tool that would fit into the spot in order to tighten the bolt. Now it's perfect! Nick was extremely nice, helpful and considerate. Definitely would use this company again!

This particular Roto Rooter outlet gets my highest praise: 1) They responded to an emergency call on a Sunday at 10:30pm within 3 hours 2) They provide 24 hour emergency service & do not charge any more than if it were a scheduled appointment. 3) All the workers (plumbers, field supervisor, trench diggers, management, telephone coordinators) were very friendly, efficient, prompt, & hard-working. 4) We chose to resolve the underlying issues (a rusty & a cracked cast iron drain) so it was labor intensive, along with descaling & jet-washing the remaining pipes. The field supervisor patiently explained various options & answered our questions. He worked at resolving the rusty/cracked pipes economically while taking care to minimize invasive landscape & house procedures. We very much appreciate their professional services & highly recommend this Tampa branch of Roto Rooter!!

Walked through house with dirty shoes over carpet, took minimal precautions to cover carpet when hauling in equipment, dented the wood door on our vanity and did not clean up the floor after finishing.

Quick fix. He determined the problem quickly and had a replacement faucet knob in his truck. This was a couple of months ago and no problems since. Repairs a bit on the high side, but since emergency repair I guess this was reasonable. If I remember, they charge by the job and not by the hour.

Everything went very smoothly! The technicians (Raif and Drini) are an excellent team and know exactly what they're doing. Courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to call Roto Rooter or have Raif and Drini do any future services.

These guys were fantastic to work with. When we realized that we had a way bigger problem than a clogged toilet their whole team jump into action! Guy and Melvin worked on drying out the water and pulling up carpet. They also worked hand in hand with my insurance company which was great. Chad came out and helped make sense of everything and I even called him a bunch of times with questions and he was always willing to help. Our sewer line issue turned out to be fixed by just a really good jet cleaning and a re-leveling of pipe. Brian and his team of guys were fantastic and friendly and explained everything. I called Brian with questions and he was always ready to answer them. I really felt like they were watching out for us and doing everything they could to help us. In all of this, they all worked together as a team and it made a big difference. I'll used them again and highly recommend them.

Alex was wonderful. He was extremely prompt for a Sunday and very friendly. He did a fantastic job as we have very old pipes. I would rate them higher if I could.

Did a lot of work. Replaced valves, reset toilet, changed insides in the tank, the wax ring.

They are very efficient. If I call them, they are here within an hour. I like that you do not have to wait, very responsive, and I like that. They also have a great warranty. Very responsive, no issue with them. Not cheap and not expensive, they are in the middle. The warranty makes up for the price. I have never had any issues with them, never had to call them back. Very clean, wear the little booties, clean up everything when they are done. They will explain everything to you, and will come out for free estimates. You do not have to use them if you do not want too. All has its benefit. A lot of time, companies do not explain what they are doing, so this is a benefit.

That was horrible. They're trying to overcharge us and we caught them breaking the line. They got rid of our pipe and did a hole in our sewer drainage pipe which caused us to have a bigger extent and then they were going to charge us $7000 to replace the sewage line that they broke and we had to find someone else that did it for $3000. For what they did, we had to ask someone come in and re-do what they did because they installed our toilet incorrectly. I would say never use Roto-Rooter.

Too expensive. $475 for clearing 2 drains. Will never hire them again.

The plumber did a great job and even though it took a little longer to do the job the estimated price was honored.

Last night, mayhem ensued when drains backed up and panic struck. One call to Roto Rooter and the dispatcher, Chris, and a wonderful technician was dispatched. Miri arrived, friendly, professional, prepared with such a great attitude. I knew then everything would be okay. He was thorough, tidy and cleaned up after himself. The team I have met during my Roto Rooter visits have been second to none. I have them on speed dial now. Anything plumbing can be very intimidating and overwhelming. One call to Roto Rooter, presto magico, all was right with the world. Thanks for having such an amazing culture that instills that kind of workmanship and pride. Beyond impressive!

Keli and Drini were both great, they worked very hard outside to clean out drain, it took them 3 hrs. to clear out everything. They were very polite and explained everything they were doing.

They initially were called for a plugged bathroom drain, but that problem got solved on it's own. While the plumber was there, he replaced a broken spigot on an outdoor water faucet. He did great work, and was done in no time. The only issue was the price...still, they were available right away, if there had been an emergency so that's good.

The Tech (Robert) was honest and professional. Completed what was needed without trying to show additional problems. I had other service providers who ignore the reason for call but try to sell / create other repairs. Robert was honest and excellent. completed his repair in time and left.

After deploying the pumping system and beginning to pump out the water, since it would take time to pump-out the standing water, and it was already past midnight, Melvin wisely decided to leave and return in the morning to continue the water reduction, including: to install additional equipment (large fans and large heater/dehumidifier units); to begin the difficult task of moving the large number of cardboard cartons and other water-damaged items into the garage so my wife and I could begin to go through them to decide what to throw away and what to try to recover; and to reposition the remaining items in the storage and place 1 inch pieces of Styrofoam under all the items on the floor to speed the drying process. Melvin and his team worked all day Jun 11. Also, when they left that evening, they took several large heavy-duty plastic bags (which they provided) full of damaged items which we could not place in our City trash and recycle containers. Melvin returned on June 12, and again on June 13 and 14, to check on their equipment and use his test equipment to measure the moisture levels and determine if our unit was sufficiently dried-out. He also sprayed the entire area with an anti-microbial treatment. On June 15, Melvin sent Bill to remove their equipment and to bring us some excellent pallets to use to reduce any damage if we should ever experience flooding again; and on June 16, Melvin and Robert made their last visit to reinstall the baseboards in a small utility closet that they had to remove to dry the dry wall. They also brought us several more pallets. I know this is a LENGTHY review. But, I feel it is necessary to support why I say that Melvin?s Roto-Rooter team provided us FANTASTIC service. There is absolutely no way my wife and I would have been able to deal with this ?disaster?, if they had not been here and gone so far ?beyond the call of duty? in helping us. They are ?true professionals?. Equally important they are thoughtful and caring human beings, and reflect that in their services. Sam Russ

They did the clean out, and found a problem on the county side and charged me $260.00. They assisted in calling the county. The county workman came out and informed me that I should always call them first because if the problem is on their side then there is no charge ( and in this case Roto-Rooter informed me that the problem was on the county side but they still charged for their service anyways) and that if the problem is not on county side then the charge is only $35 ($45 at night) so at most you are making a $35 investment to find out where the problem is and if it is on the county side then there is no charge at all. So in closing, yes Roto-Rooter did their job but they have to know the situation and should ask or recommend that the county look at the problem first. I feel that I have been ripped off big time and this is the second time I have used their service in the last four months for the same problem (so I am sure it was also a complete rip off for the last time I used them). It went very well. Alex 7098, came out on Memorial Day weekend, late on a rainy afternoon and worked until the drain was cleared. I'm somewhat of a do-it yourselfer but I was unable to accomplish in 6 hours what Alex from Roto-Rooter did in about an hour and 1/2. He resolved the problem and saved us from having to spend Memorial Day weekend in a Hotel. Thanks Alex.

After the initial issue the company and the manager Tim were outstanding. It was as good a customer experience that I have ever received (Homeowner for 20 years.) I, without reservation would call this company again with the quality of leadership shown by the manager.
