1) all the corners were given a different radius than my client and I specificed.
2) the bathtub top was cut in four pieces (fine) but I repeatedly confirmed that all the pieces would be cut in the same direction so you wouldn't notice the four pieces. Upon installation, there were the four pieces - two cut in one direction adn two in another. This saved the company on material.
3) my client and I went and laid out the kitchen counter tops on the slabs of granite and when they were installed the slabs had been cut at a different point than where we had specified. The seam is now running down the middle of my client's kitchen and the owner was quite defensive about making that decision even after I explained to him that it had been our decision as to where the seam should be.
These are not small things when you consider that granite comes out of the earth after potentially millions of years and costs thousands of dollars for a home owner and my client has to live w/ these mistakes and 'decisions' for the next twenty years.
Just my two cents as a designer.
A chip developed on the edge of the counter a few weeks after the install. Someone from Ramos came out and filled in the defect perfectly.
We were very pleased with the help we received from the sales staff, and the work performed.

While we try, we are not always perfect and there was some confusion with the small piece that was brought back from the job as to how it was to be polished as the crew that brought it back did not marked clearly. We called the customer to confirm as this was an unusual job with some of the material being supplied by us and some re-used pieces supplied by the customer. Not certain of the issue on this small top as we were not informed there was an issue, but we would certainly be happy to correct it. Thanks again!"
I would have given them an "F" rating .... but did not because the employees I spoke with were very pleasant and professional while speaking to me. They unfortunately don't return messages.
At this point, even if they offered to complete the repairs for free, I would not use them. If I am having this much trouble when I'm trying to give them business ... I fear the possibility of any future response should there be any problems.

We did leave him a message in an effort to assist, however, this review had already been posted. This is a case where Ramos Marble and Granite did not install the original countertops and the customer was contacting us to do repairs on their existing tops that had been installed by others. "In checking, there is nothing in our quote system under this name, so I cannot check why the quote seemed high relative to others they may have received. It is possible that the customer was looking at a specialty material and another supplier had it in stock and we may not have, otherwise, our pricing is very competitive and our quality and service is outstanding. Ramos offers a wide selection of choices, but we didn't see exactly what we wanted, so they recommended that we go to their granite supplier's warehouse, where it is possible to see and choose specific slabs. That was a very useful thing to do. Granite slabs vary, even those of the same pattern, and in the warehouse you can you see and compare specific slabs a large scale, and picture them in your own kitchen. By choosing specific slabs you can minimize or avoid getting granite with markings or colors that you don't want. Also, we brought a kitchen drawer with us, so we could see how the granite would look next to the cabinet wood.
Somewhere between agreeing to the tentative estimate and the actual installation, we suddenly realized that we had forgotten to include the kitchen window sills in the order. When we called Ramos and told them, they were very nice and agreed to include window sills in the order at the original price.
Before the installation, someone from Ramos came to the house to measure the area for granite, and prepare a template. We didn't have a plumber, so they gave us some names, and we contacted one to handle our plumbing. They were excellent. The actual installation went very well. The installers were careful, neat, and conscientious and we are delighted with the result. Ramos was a pleasure to deal with in every way.
