They do excellent work. They cleaned the condenser and the evaporator coils, and they were up front about whether or not I need something. They did the work in June 2012, then November 2012, and all the way up to this year. I have a service contract with them so I pay $99 a year for 2 services.  I think their prices are pretty comparable to everybody else.

Had told me the part would be until Monday (being Sat. when discovered) and did come on Monday to repair the unit. He also checked a few other things before he left. It happened that the part was still covered by warranty and I had had to pay for the service call and then the labor cost when it was installed. I was happy with the Company's performance.

If I had to use 2 words to describe Nuccio A/C, I would use: Honest and Fair.
A gentleman named Kenny from Nuccio came out to repair the air conditioning unit (the compressor behind the house wasn't working).
He was competent, knowledgeable, and honest. He quickly diagnosed the problem, said it was a relatively inexpensive part (something called a condenser run capacator), and completed the repair. No issues with the A/C since then.
I appreciated their approach taken was to treat the customer fairly and earn business by providing good service and honest communication.

Nuccio sold me a new 15 seer Carrier system 12/ 2010 for, almost 7000$ (it included a float switch - but not part of the Carrier warranty). Nuccio does not stand behind the float switch. Only the Carrier manufacturer warranty is honored - but actually all AC companies can handle the Carrier warranty, I have learned. There is no reason to call Nuccio back for service! That purchase 3 years ago doesn't mean anything.
The switch failed 2 years later (12/12) and they charged me 174$ to fix it.
The switch failed again in 5/13,causing the AC to stop. Nuccio said that they stopped selling them because they failed a lot. But of course they were happy to take the service call and charge me, again. Nuccio's solution was to wait 3 days to get a new one for 169$ (it's a 2$ float switch), or cut it off and throw it out, because it wasn't needed anyway!!! (Why did they sell it to me?)
2 months later, Carrier blower motor failed, but Nuccio could not come out because they and quot;only run 2 guys at nightand quot;, It does not matter that I bought the system from them. No push toward customer satisfaction.
I think they still owe me a couple of service calls because I signed up and paid for maintenance, but they have never scheduled or sent me a reminder card like they said would .
The above are the facts from 2010 on. There are several more negative stories from 1994 to 2010, including a failed compressor that was part of a Carrier-wide problem (I was able to get the inside scoop from an HVAC friend in another state), that Nuccio was unwilling to recognize or remedy. Don't remember the charge for replacement, but it was very big.

Our last experience with them wasn't a great one so we switched to REM. Like we were under a contract with them for maintenance and so we went ahead and finished out a contract with them for maintenance, but because when our air conditioner broke down they couldn't get there in a timely manner, like they us to wait for three days in the summer and REM came out like immediately in couple of hours. I would not use them again.

I met with Joe Chesser, Nuccio's designer/estimator. He was interested in addressing our need and offered good suggestions. Tommy Buchanan, their installation supervisor, came to our home to further discuss the locations of the additional supply and return grills, addressing my wife's esthetic needs and my utility needs. He was also interested and offered good suggestions. The installation crew, Ariel Garcia and his team were excellent, taking care to cut the holes in the drywall straight, uniform and perfectly located. During the installation of the flexible duct in the attic, I was concerned that the main duct line obstructed the main walkway. With a good attitude, Ariel moved the duct-line, addressing my concern. The startup tech, Kenny, was friendly and patient in answering my questions. I would not hesitate to recommend Nuccio to any of my family and friends.

I met with Joe Chesser, Nuccio's designer/estimator, a number of times during the design phase. He was very interested, patient and passionate in designing the right energy efficient system to meet my specific needs. Tommy Buchanan, the installation supervisor, visited the site numerous times to make sure his installation crew was performing well and meeting my needs. The installation crew did an excellent job building the fiberboard duct system and installing the equipment. The start up techs took the time to instruct me on how to operate the control software. I had a couple of service calls to get everything fine tuned and was happy to find that Nuccio believes in service after the sale. We were excited to find that our average electric bill, for our 4100 sf home with a pool, was under $200 per month (our energy efficient doors, windows and insulation also helped).
I would not hesitate to recommend Nuccio to any of my family and friends.

The fella who put it in for me took the time to show me how to use it in detail. He helped me take notes on my computer that I can reference should I forget anything. He also said that if I need any help with it that I could call and ask specifically for him and he would come help. They went above and beyond.

My A/C quit blowing cool air last night. I called Nuccio at 8 this morning, had an appointment for this afternoon, and it was cool again within an hour of Freddy showing up. I call Nuccio for my yearly maintenance already - this was my first repair visit. I will keep calling them for maintenance and repair. Thank you!

have had an annual maintenance contract with this company for over ten years. My ac went out this week, it was described by my new ac guy as abysmal condition for having an annual maintenance service. He basically said they weren't doing much to keep it in running condition. Here's my take on it, you never know the quality of the person doing the maintenance with this company. Over the years some were better than others. This last guy was a joke. I actually confronted him and said he did it in record time compared to years past. I asked for a refund, didn't receive one. even sent photos of the shoddy work. I have moved on.

It all started when our a/c unit wouoldn't come on. The Nuccio repairman came out and I discussed with him replacing the entire system; once we agreed to having them do the replacement, he reduced the cost of the repair call. They agreed to the date we wanted the work done, showed up on-time, were extremely professional and courteous at all times, answered all my questions, and made sure we were "comfortable" with the new thermostat's "bells and whistles." A very professional job well done!

I had an emergency, and called their emergency line. I was promised that a technician would call me back and discuss whether or not immediate repairs needed to be made and/or come out to complete the repairs. I received a call back in 20 minutes from the dispatcher telling me that I could have an appointment two days later. For an EMERGENCY. I re-explained my situation and she told me that the best she could do was 18 hours later. I asked her why a technician did not call as promised an she stated that she was the dispatcher and left it at that. Not very helpful to a stressed out homeowner willing to pay off-hour rates to get a problem quickly fixed. Never again.

I called several places at around 10p on Friday night and no one answered. My home warranty through AHS only has an automated answering service, they only provide work during normal business hours and they contract with poorly rated companies. I called in to Nuccio's, promptly got a human on the phone and about half an hour later a technician was at my door. Eric was very friendly and knowledgeable, immediately identified the issue and was able to unclog the pipe. Apparently the last time my unit was serviced the pipe connected to the shutoff valve was moved into an incorrect position, preventing it from working properly (and would have allowed us to avoid the water damage we incurred). He explained how to maintain the unit regularly as well as what signs to lookout for in order to prevent future problems.

12-16-08 1st Repair - Repairman Inspected my inside split heat pump unit for problems. Repairman said blower fan needed cleaned and he didn't know how much that would cost. Service call charge was $96.00; repairman didn't put my unit back together. I couldn't use it. 12-23-08 2nd Repair - Repairman cleaned the blower fan and put unit back together that the first repairman had left apart. He spent most of the time outside talking on his phone. Service call charge was $121.00

WE HAVE PERFORMED SERVICE WORK ONLY FOR THIS CUSTOMER HAD HAVE NOT BEEN ASKED BY THE CUSTOMER TO EVER PERFORM ANY CLEANING OR MAINTENANCE OF THE SYSTEM. ON DECEMBER 16, 2008 WE RESPONDED TO A CALL FROM THE MEMBER THAT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO HER HOME FOR SMOKE OR A BURNING SMELL IN THE HOME. UPON ARRIVAL OUR TECHNICIAN CHECKED THE SYSTEM AND HE DID DIAGNOSE A FAULTY FAN MOTOR. (THIS DIAGNOSIS WAS LATER FOUND TO BE INACCURATE.) THE UNIT WAS A YORK BRAND AND WE DID NOT HAVE THE INFORMATION TO QUOTE A REPAIR AT THAT TIME BUT ADVISED THAT WE WOULD RESEARCH AND QUOTE REPAIRS. THE NEXT DAY OUR SERVICE MANAGER SPOKE TO THE TECHNICIAN AND DETERMINED THAT THE TECHNICIAN (A JUNIOR TECHNICIAN) MAY HAVE NOT DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM PROPERLY. WE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE MEMBER TO SEND A SENIOR FIELD SUPERVISOR TO THEIR HOME TO HAVE A SECOND LOOK AT THE SYSTEM ON DECEMBER 19, 2008. UPON ARRIVAL IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS WAS IN FACT INCORRECT AND THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MOTOR AND THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE SMOKE OR BURNING SMELL THAT OCCURRED ON THE 16TH AT ALL. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE SMOKE OR BURNING SMELL WAS CAUSED BY A KITCHEN APPLIANCE. WHAT WE DID NOTICE WAS THAT THE BLOWER WHEEL OF THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WAS VERY DIRTY AND IN NEED OF REMOVAL AND CLEANING. WE QUOTED THE MEMBER OUR STANDARD PRICE FOR THIS SERVICE OF $121.00 AND THE REPAIR WAS APPROVED BY THE MEMBER. WE DID NOT CHARGE THE MEMBER A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC FEE WE ONLY CHARGED FOR THE CLEANING. THE MEMBER ONLY PAID FOR THE FIRST DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF $96.00 ON DEC. 16 AND THE SUBSEQUENT CLEANING ON DEC. 19. AS FOR THE TIME THE TECHNICIAN WAS ON THE PHONE AS THE CUSTOMER DESCRIBED, THIS TECHNICIAN IS A FIELD SUPERVISOR AND IS REQUIRED TO LEND PHONE ASSISTANCE TO OTHER FIELD TECHNICIANS AS REQUIRED. THIS DOES NOT CAUSE THE CUSTOMER TO HAVE TO PAY FOR HIS TIME ON THE PHONE WHILE AT THEIR HOME. OUR REPAIRS ARE QUOTED BEFORE THEY ARE PERFORMED. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES THE TECHNICIAN TO COMPLETE THE QUOTED REPAIR THE CUSTOMER ONLY PAYS WHAT HAS BEEN QOUTED AND APPROVED AHEAD OF TIME. THIS IS KNOW AS FLAT RATE PRICING AND IS USED BY SERVICE PROVIDERS NATIONWIDE. IT IS TRUE THAT HAD WE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM CORRECTLY ON THE 16TH THAT THE CUSTOMER WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN WITHOUT THE USE OF THEIR SYSTEM UNTIL THE 19TH. WE REGRET THIS BUT OUR TECHNICIANS ARE ONLY HUMAN AND ARE NOT PERFECT EVERY TIME. WE DO MAKE AN OCCASIONAL MISTAKE. ALL OF OUR SERVICE TECHNICIANS ARE NATE CERTIFIED. ALTHOUGH WE REALIZE THAT WE CANNOT PLEASE EVERY CUSTOMER IT IS NOT DUE TO A LACK OF TRYING. IT IS OUR GOAL TO SATISFY ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS.
