Eric and his team did an AWESOME job on our pool!  From design to installation to start up to support, the entire process went great!  We were very nervous about that kind of investment, but the team was very responsive and answered all of our questions and concerns along the way.  The work was done on time, and on budget, and we are going to enjoy our pool for years to come!  It looks like a million bucks!

We recently moved to Florida from New York and purchased a home knowing that we wanted to have a pool installed immediately.  We contacted Larsen's while still living in New York and they were incredibly helpful right off the bat.   We chose Larsen's to have our pool installed and couldn't be happier with our choice!  Every step of the way we were kept well informed on a daily basis.  All of the the subcontractors were amazingly professional, courteous and skilled.   
Jeremy Jolly was absolutely the best!  HE is a huge selling point for this company.   Jeremy was so patient with our lack of pool installation knowledge.  He was at our house daily checking on progress, making sure we were happy, and keeping us up to date on progress.   Jeremy was responsive to calls and texts at any hour of the day.   And he always had a positive attitude and solution ready if there was a timing issue on our end.

This was our first experience building a pool and we did lots of research and spoke with a couple of companies before selecting Larsen's Pool and Spa. We met with the designer (Adam) and he not only listened to what we wanted, but took the design we had in our minds and enhanced it.  They pulled the sod in our backyard on 6/23 and on 8/21 the pool was ready to be filled.  Keep in mind, this is the heavy rainy season in Florida so we had to contend with the weather and the challenges nature posed (cave in of the hole, difficult soil to work through (clay), etc.) Every one of the subs was professional, and patient with the number of questions we posed throughout the process.  Dave and Jeremy, were the construction coordinators and both were responsive whether we called or texted in the evenings or on weekends.  They knew how important our dogs are to us, so they ensure they did not take down the current portion of the screened enclosure until it was absolutely necessary to do so, so the dogs could have that area to roam while their pool was being built.  They suggested and added a "doggie step" in the step area (half a step), which I'm happy to report, our dogs use just about every time they get out of the pool.  We even had a situation where we had to change something on the pavers and Adam was able to meet with us on the Sunday of the 4th of July weekend so we could see the other options for pavers to make the needed change (original pavers were no longer available).  They suggested the nebula lighting and we thought it was a great idea since our pool faces a conservation area, and it looks amazing!  The folks are lighting aluminum did a great job at extending our screened area as it was a bit of a challenge considering the current structure in place and columns throughout.  There were over 30 folks overall that in one way or another were involved in this project and every one of them was polite, and a pleasure to work with during the process. Once the pool was complete, Justin came over to "start up" the pool and came back a few more times to ensure all was working as it should and walk us through how to use the equipment, etc.  He was quick to respond to our texts with questions as we had tehm once the pool was on.  Again, since we are novices when it comes to owning a pool, we appreciate everyone's patience and knowledge as they answered our questions and explained the various steps and processes involved in creating our backyard paradise!  Thank you!!!

Larsen's did an excellent job - I would highly recommend them.  Dave Larsen kept me updated on the progress on an almost daily basis.  Their workers, including Bob and Dave, were extremely professional and showed obvious pride in their work.  What impressed me most of all is that when Larsen's found a couple of things wrong with the existing pool, they went ahead and fixed them - without any intention of charging anything.  We did encounter one issue with a new automation system, but that was resolved by Larsen's, with no hassle, and I am very pleased with the outcome.

I hired Larsen Pool and Spa to update a 20 year old in ground pool, install pavers over the poured concrete pool deck, seal the pavers, upgrade to 3 inch drains in the pool area and install a new heater.  All of the work was done on time and with good quality.  I was hesitant to have this work done due to concerns about all the different sub contractors and time needed to complete the work.  Based on reviews I read on Angie's List I contacted Larsens. They were back in touch with me within a day, I met with Joe within a couple days and after considering my options I selected Larsens.  Their price was the highest I received, however, I paid for the peace of mind of hiring a company with a good reputation and in the business as long as they have been. 

I was told to expect the job to take 2 weeks, that it would be dirty and noisy and that was accurate on all counts.  The workers who were here, worked hard and did not waste time.  They cleaned up the area as best they could but cutting the pavers is dirty/dusty work.  Dave Larsen checked in with me periodically throughout the project and let me know what to expect.  

It's been about a month since the work completed and the pool and deck look great.  I'd recommend Larsens to anyone considering a similar project.

He did the pool heater very well.  He showed up and got the part the we needed then repaired it.  He is also a good company to use.

They sent a gentleman out to give me a quote. He was very thorough, spent plenty of time with me, and did a great job writing up the quote. However the price was just not what we were expecting. So we haven't decided yet on who we're going to use. This company seems like a first class company but their price is a little to much I think for a small pool.

They never bother responding to my requests for work on a pool area. I would think the professional thing to do would be to at least tell me that they aren't interested

We went from having a horrible and ugly back yard to having an Oasis.   It was a wondrous process. We had started this project at the end of December and by Mid March it was completed.   The employees that worked with us were all very good at what they did, courteous and professional and hard working.  They continue to be available if we have any questions or problems. 

We had 3 different companies to provide us with quotes and preferred to work with Larsen's because of their caring and family like attitude. 

Bob was awesome.  Not only did he install our new pool pump but he educated me on how to properly take care of my pool.

We had someone from Larsen's come by and give us a quote for a new pool. He was judgmental (would dismiss our questions about options he assumed we couldn't afford), sloppy (measured our space wrong), and generally patronizing. I was pretty appalled that a $50k-$60k project was boiled down to him manually drawing his ONLY alternative of a design and calling it a day. I was expecting a little more consulting for this kind of expense. Why this place gets so many positive reviews baffles me.

It was a great experience working with Larsen's again.  They are my "go to" pool guys for renovation or construction of a pool.

We had a very positive experience the whole way through this process. All deadlines were met, in fact some early.  We really liked his communication. He kept us informed all they way through the process. The owner took responsibly for all of his sub contractors. They were very on top of everything and we are very pleased with the quality! He was very honest with us and didn't make things all about money. We were also very pleased with his back office staff. They were happy to help and with a positive attitude.

Larsen's did a terrific job. I was impressed with everyone. They made sure to answer all my questions, Dave stopped by the house many times to make sure all was well. Orlando did an extraordinary job on pavers - to say he went above and beyond to make the look right is understating it. The only part left is sealing the pavers and that needed 1 month for pavers to settle. FYI the are not the lowest price but the service and performance is worth it. I would highly recommend them.

Probably the BEST company i have dealt with.. Prompt, courteous, professional and  hands on throughout  the entire job. From the office staff through the installers, a pleasure to work with . Dave was on site every day to check on the progress and accept any suggestions or changes that needed to be made. A potentially stressful project went as smooth as silk . Would HIGHLY recommend Larsen's to anyone needing pool and paver work done.

We went to the store to select tiles and look over the proposal. It was an easy process and the project was scheduled to begin in a couple of weeks. Removing the fiberglass proved to be a challenge. It had been sprayed on and needed to be chiseled off. Bob and Dave arrived each morning on time and worked carefully to remove all the fiberglass and prep the pool surface for the new surface and new tile. All steps of the process from draining the pool, prep work, resurfacing, setting the tile and balancing the water was professionally completed. Our 28 year old pool looks new and is beautiful too. They checked over our pool pump and made some repairs we had tried to have fixed before by someone else. I feel this company goes out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied. We appreciate the service provided by Larsen's Pool and Spa.

Larsen's and their team of subcontractors are beyond what we expected in professionalism and product.  They delivered everything as promised and the results are amazing. Our pool is the envy of the neighborhood and is the focal point of our home. We are the "it" house now as everyone wants to hang out in our oasis. Larsen's ensured that their subcontractors worked neatly, with professionalism and efficiently to give us quality results. Everyone arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. When we had a question about their assigned job, we were answered with kindness and patience.
I am so happy that we went with Larsen's. Larsen's took the time to listen to our wants in a pool. They offered many suggestions and ideas on how best to maximize space. They were very patient during the design phase.  Pools are not a cheap addition to a home and choosing the right pool contractor can be stressful. That being said, cheap is always a BAD factor when choosing a pool builder. You truly will get what you pay for.
Being in the legal industry,  I see what happens when people choose the wrong pool builder.  I did hours of "legal" research before choosing Larsen's. And I found NOTHING...no complaints and no lawsuits.  Nothing with the Better Business either.
In the end, we would (and already have) recommended Larsen's and their team of subcontractors to others. We have chosen many of their subcontractors to do other projects in and around our home. We have allowed potential pool buyers to come to our home and see first hand the quality of Larsen's work.  They truly are a top notch company.

This was a big remodel project and Eric Larsen and staff were incredibly professional, prompt, and did an overall good job with everything. They were very good at following up, and making sure everything was being done right and that I was completely satisfied. They also worked very quickly. I would recommend Larsen's Pool for any new or remodel project.

They contacted me right away and came out to assess my pool.  I had a bad calcium buildup on my 8 year old refinished pool.  They told me up front what my options were and what each would cost.  Apparently, my pool guy had not done a good job of maintaining the chemical balance.  We started with the least expensive solution which was to acid wash the pool.  It cleaned up the glass tile, but they were not able to remove enough of the deposits on the finish.  It would have been fine for me, but my house is on the market and the pool had to be perfect.  I decided to go ahead and replace the finish.  Larsens was prompt, professional, courteous, and I always knew what was going on.  If they were not coming or going to be late, they called.  They got the job done quickly and cleaned up after.  They have been back every week for the past three weeks to make sure I am happy and everything is to my satisfaction.  I would definitely use them again.  I have already recommended them to two people.

Larsen's was not the high or low bidder.  We requested bids from eight (8) Angie's List providers.  We got seven (7).  For reasons still unknown one, large provider failed to submit any bid.  The low bids were clearly inferior.  The high bids were very high.  Range was from $48,000 to $104,000 so getting multiple bids was a good thing.  The contract called for the pool to be swim-able by date specific and it was.  My only advice to a prospective buyers is do your homework and pay attention to the details.  It is your pool and you will have to live with it.  We would not hesitate to call Larsen's again.  Great work Dave and if anyone wants to see contact Dave or Eric Larsen.

Overall, the Larsen Team did a great job in each phase of the project, and the final pool/spa is top notch.  Eric Larsen (owner) clearly hires professional workers who were courteous, informative and pleasant to speak with throughout the duration of the project.  From Eric's first home visit and project discussions, to the actual excavation, pipe and electrical laying, concrete emplacement, machinery emplacement, paver emplacement, lanai construction, and final pool/chemical preparations - we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  For prospective home owners that are interested in building an in ground pool, we will offer the following general thoughts for your consideration:  a) consider doing your pool project during the winter time.  We started in mid December and it took about 2.5 months which is not a long time to wait considering that the weather is not warm and the working conditions are fairly good to consistently work without being interrupted.  If you wait until the spring or summer to start, it may take longer due to the weather (rainy season) and that other customers are doing the same thing as you; b) if at all possible, try to stay actively involved with overseeing the project.  First, if you're going to spend a considerable amount of money you should know what is going on.  Second, we believe that it informs the pool company that you're engaged which will assist with the next comment; c) communication is the key for a successful project with minimal disruption or misunderstandings. Inevitably, there will be changes to the schedule, or modifications to the project.  Ensure that you and the vendor thoroughly communicate, verbally and in writing, to capture all details, modifications, etc.  In our case, we had two instances where changes occurred.  In the first instance, Eric captured our verbal discussions as an addendum to the original contract and all parties were informed with no concerns.  In the second instance, there was a difference of opinion concerning additional costs but there was nothing in writing that articulated any agreement or changes.  Fortunately, we reiterated our position with Dave Larsen (Eric's dad and project manager) who worked with us and resolved the issue in a satisfactory manner.  We appreciated Larsen Pool's willingness to work with us and it underscored their professionalism in understanding their customers.
