It went great.  The two men were very professional and the owner had come to do an inspection and estimate to look at what it would be.  The rain came and they waited patiently to finish the job.  I felt they went above and beyond too to help us.

They arrived on time. They cut down the tree and cleaned up afterwards. They also trimmed 2 other trees.

Everything went very well.

A crew of 3 spent 5 or six hours at the house.  Did a great job and left the place spotless.  Everything went as planned.  Highly recommend this company.

Jerry the owner came by to give me an estimate and within one week of estimate, his crew came and completed the job.  They were on time and did excellent work.

  The neat and clean men arrived promptly.  They were good workers and pleasant when I requested that a branch be cut up and left for me to use.  One of them found a snake near the garage and made sure that it wasn't a pigmy rattler before letting me get near.  End result of the day was a baby rat snake  got a new home with the men, I got some cut branch to use and most importantly my trees got properly prepared for the storm season.  Jerry told me about the ages and related decline of my trees which saddens me but prepares me for future decisions.  I will have him check the trees yearly and will take his recommendation for new trees when the time comes.  I trust my trees to no other company.

Jordan Upcavage performed the service with a team of two other men. I could not be more pleased with the way things went. Jordan came out to take a look at what I wanted to have done. He gave me a quote and a few months later I called him and set up an appointment to have the tree removed. Throughout the entire process Jordan could not have Been more professional or more devoted to customer satisfaction. He did exactly what he said he would and was punctual. If I ever need this type of service again I will be calling independent tree service!

Independent tree service did an outstanding job with my trees. I initially called when a branch fell from one of my oak trees and Jordan came out that evening (in the pouring rain)  to inspect the downed branch. While he was here I asked him to inspect my other trees and inquired about having some additional work done, removing two dead citrus trees and grinding. While inspecting my other large oak trees we found one had a serious fungal rot near the base. He gave me several options to either have it removed or thinned out, but I decided with removal since the tree was close to mine and my neighbor's homes and I didn't want to risk it falling. When the day came to do the removal, Jordan and his crew arrived early and got right to work. They did a very professional job and the oak tree removal went without any problems. My next door neighbors even commented on how impressed they were with how they safely cut down my oak tree without damaging the adjoining privacy fence. I definitely would highly recommend Independent Tree Service to anyone looking to have work done, and I will certainly be using them in the future.

This company was referred to me by a friend and highly recommended by them.  From  the initial contact with Jordan Upcavage who came out to review  my trees as part of hurricane preparation through the end of the project I was more than pleased.  And I was especially impressed with his knowledge as a certified arborist.  Initially I had a "have to do" list that involved getting some very large and completely dead branches that went over the street in front of my house trimmed.  These branches kept braking off in pieces and falling in the street and in the yard especially since it has been windy.  I also had a large China Berry tree in the back yard that was completely dead from a freeze a few years back.  Then I had my "wish list" depending on how much they would cost that included trimming some dead branches on my avocado trees and a Pecan tree.  As an arborist, Jordan explained exactly where cuts should occur for the health and well being of the trees.  He also noticed a fungus around the bottom of an old Queen Palm tree that had attacked the roots with the potential result that the very high palm could very easily have fallen.    I had seen these strange growths around the bottom of the tree and have since done research online and realized Jordan probably saved my house from this tree falling.  He made a cost proposal that included both my "have to do" and "wish list" that I felt was more than reasonable so I made the decision to have all the work done.
 When they arrived yesterday, July 31, 2013 Jordan arrived onsite and carefully reviewed with his crew of Glen, Jim and Chris exactly what  needed to be done always emphasizing exactly where the trims should occur for the health and well being of the trees so only what was necessary would be done. It was evident that these men were professional, experienced and safety conscious.  And they all had great interpersonal skills.  I was amazed at the awareness and sensitivity in regard to some of the things the guys did without my even asking.  For example I had a special memento (ground marker) on the ground where my dog, Heidi, was buried and noticed that one of the guys had picked it up and stood it out of the way so the Bobcat would not run over it...and it was put back in place when they finished.  They also moved the flagstones I recently put down on the side of the house so they wouldn't be broken and then put them back.  Glen and Jim figured out the best way to remove some very large and heavy pieces of a tree that had been cut down and left in the yard ages ago in a way that my new fence was not affected. They even went the extra step to get a huge amount of potato vine off my well and smoke house.  Before Glen cut the dead branches of the Pecan tree, I looked out the window to see him carefully moving a bunch of plants I had on a table under the tree so they wouldn't get broken by a falling branch.  When Glen finished his loading job and was leaving to the next job he made sure to come and say goodbye.  And here is the clincher - while Chris was elevating some branches that were a potential risk to my service lines, Jim was cleaning up.  There was not even a tiny piece of twig left of the ground - not one tiny piece!!  I did my walk through to check what was to be done and was amazed at how Jim had completely cleaned out the area where the China Berry had been from all the overgrowth.  There was a black racer (snake) in the overgrowth and I had mentioned I was afraid to go in with the logs that were there and the overgrowth so Jim fixed it so it was all nice and clean and I could see where I was going - an extra he did to make a customer extra happy.
Jordan called today to get my feedback on how I thought the job had gone.  My response was that they have my business for as long as I am around.  I told him how thorough Glen, Jim and Chris were and how impressed I was with their skill, safety awareness and commitment to doing what was best for the trees.  I cannot recommend Independent Tree Service highly enough - they are exceptional in terms of knowledge, performance, skill and cost.  I've already recommended them to three neighbors.  Thank you.

The crew knew what needed done, asked for any clarification for me to inspect the job. The company worked me in during a very busy time and did a great job at a reasonable price.

I have used this tree service in the past and would definitely use them again.

It went very well.  Theses trees could have possibly damaged my house and patio.  They were dangerous in a storm - I feel safer now.

Reasonably priced, excellent work & cleaned. They know what they are doing.

I texted them to cancel the project because at the time I couldn't afford the estimate that was quoted. Unfortunately, I received a call a month later about an invoice for their services unaware that they hadn't received my text to cancel the job and unaware they had already done the work. I didn't know because they had forgot to leave the invoice after the project was finished. They were later able to retrieve the text I had sent to cancel the job and advised because this was their fault they hadn't read my text that they would take care of the bill for their service. Because I didn't know they had trimmed the trees they came back to show me the cuts that were made on the tress from the trimming.

I wasn’t home when work was performed or might have had them do a little more trimming on the one tree blocking the sun. Experience was a learning one, I didn’t  look or could have used a little more after job, cleanup.

Excellent service!   Jerry helped every step of the way in the permitting process which we could not have done without his help.    The entire crew showed up precisely on time the day the work was to be done and were very professional  and thorough.    We are extremely pleased!

The guys who did the service were extremely knowledgeable and loved trees. They took good care of the trees, were professional, courteous, and a joy to work with. They contacted us both before and after the job. They showed up when they said they would. We found the experience to be all around wonderful. Also, the trees look awesome.

The owner provided a detailed clear estimate and called for the follow up.
 His staff arrived on time as promised, were clean, efficient, safe, pleasant and courteaus despite the very hot and humid day they performed the work.

The company gave me an estimate that was a fair price.  We made an appointment and two workers came on the day and time we agreed on, trimmed all trees, and cleared up all and removed all the branches cut.  Everything looks great.

Professional, clean-uped, courteous.

They were on time, very professional and they did good work. We thought the price was reasonable. We would use them again if we need any tree work done. 

Excellent experience.  They were very timely in scheduling the initial visit (for estimate).  A clear quote was provided during the initial visit.  Work was scheduled for the requested date.  Arborist was on-site for the entire job.  The price was competitive and the staff was professional.  Excellent results!

I bought a "Big Deal" via Angie's List. After speaking with the owner, he said that for $100 more, he could do a complete job on the large Tree. I agreed to the added cost knowing that there was no way they could do a full job without $$ based on the terms/conditions of the deal and the size of my tree.
The owner, Jerry,  is very responsive and cares about the quality of the work but the people doing the work aren't as conscientious. After the first visit, the owner called and asked if I was satisfied. I told him the truth in that I was disappointed as there was still a lot of dead branches and stuff that I thought should have been cleaned out of the tree. He was very concerned and said he would send the crew back out to finish the job. About a week later, more work was done but it still was less than I had hoped for. I've seen trees that after they are trimmed and thinned out look amazing.  Mine was OK but not great and I could still see 'stuff' that in my opinion should have been removed.
I think Jerry is a responsible business owner and does truly care but based on the quality of his crew, I would not use this company again.
