Couldn't have been better . They did an outstanding job and balanced the rooms all within 1 degree.

Prior to installation, Joe Leto performed a formal Load Calculation. (A copy of that report was given me for my records). On the basis of that, he made several proposals for our consideration. Joe devoted time with me explaining the possibilities, answering all the questions I had. I was impressed with his thorough review. The installation crew arrived on time, were neat, placing covers on their shoes when inside our home. They made it a point to explain their progress and answer questions as the proceeded. They were attentive to our home, cleaning up once done. They made sure all was functioning properly before leaving for the day. One week later, the crew returned to inspect the entire system, and adjusted our duct system to ensure each room received sufficient circulation to our satisfaction. They worked to be sure the installation was to our satisfaction. I was very impressed! I recommend this company without reservation.

Frank was there on time, performed inside/outside inspection. Cleaned coils, checked for mold, tested air flow, checked the thermostat, flushed the drain line. He was very thorough and was working for 1.5 hours to do everything I asked him to and more. The price was reasonable and as quoted on the phone when I scheduled the appointment earlier this week. I have had other A/C service companies out and they were always trying to sell me something or cut the service short of what was promised. Frank was busy working the entire time and very professional. This is the second time Frank from Independent Air has been out to service my HVAC system and yes, I will hire again.

We do not write many reviews, but our contact with Independent Air Conditioning is exceptional. The outcome of our experience with Joe Letto and his company has left us with the faith there are still honest, hardworking service people that deliver quality work at an affordable price.

I will continue to use them in the future.

They come right out when I call them. Their prices are pretty reasonable.

Since they did such a great job installing our air
conditioner unit, we thought we?d ask them to look at our pool heater, which
operates as a heat pump.  They came out
the day after we call, discovered quickly the problem was a ?bad compressor
capacitor,? which they replaced, and it had work well so far, two weeks
later.   They were here an hour and a
half total including the time they took to make sure the heater synced with the
variable speed pool pump.

The technician arrived right on time, and was a very professional young man.  The unit had not been serviced in quite some time and he was very thorough.  Didn't try to hard sell or upsell me on any other services I didn't need either, which was nice!

It was very reasonable. They did a great job. We were very pleased. They were very honest. They make recommendation and there was no pressure. I would recommend them.

They are very courteous.  They are very reasonable and polite.  They give good service and they are fair.  I am very comfortable with them. 

They have been punctual and they have come back whenever there was cleaning work to be done and they get the job done.

They're definitely not the cheapest but it was just a comfort fact just from a friend, they're local company and they also provided a year's maintenance wherein they'll come out twice a year and check the unit for free. So it's just a reassurance.

I got home from work and found that my AC was not cooling at all.  I called a friend of mine and asked for a referral and he gave me Independent AIr.  I reached out to Joe and asked him if there was any way he could come out that night and he agreed (it was now 9:30).  He arrived on time and knew exactly what needed to be fixed.  Checked the freon and topped it up.  Joe is very considerate and efficient.  Will be using them from now on!

The service tech arrived on time and was friendly, courteous, and professional. He took the time to explain to me exactly what he would be doing and that he would have no problem with my watching him work. As he was working he took the time to explain to me what he was doing. When he checked the capacitors he showed me the actually readings on his test equipment. One read low but was in tolerance. I decided to have the capacitor replaced while the unit was accessible. This was the most comprehensive preventive maintenance I've ever had on the unit since it was installed in 1995. Tampa Electric offered a $75 rebate through Independent Air. My actual cost was $80 for the preventive maintenance and the replaced capacitor. This is the fourth time I've used Independent Air but the first time since joining Angie's List. I've had both preventive maintenance and repair work done by them and I?ve been totally satisfied on each occasion.

After a bad experience with another Heating and Cooling (AC) company, I contacted Joe from Independent Air. He was referred to me from a family member that recently used him. I explained to him my situation of having an older, leaking AC system and asked if he could look at it and help me decide if I should repair or replace it.
He sent is father, Pete (family business) out with a tech and they inspected both the air handler and the outside system for leaks and general condition and health. They quickly found a leak in the air handler protion of the system and showed me where and how they found it. 
When they finished, they gave me a repair and a replace option. They did not try to sell me either way and offered their opinion only when I asked for it.
I decided to replace the whole system and agreed to their quote.

They scheduled the work for a few days later and spent an entire day removing and replacing my AC system. They took great care to keep my floors and carpet clean and in the end, the system was installed professionally and the crew was clean and curtious to me and my family.
