We were contacted by phone about 15 minutes after we filled in the request on the Internet. An appointment was set up to review what we needed and to make us an estimate. Terry arrived punctual to the minute. He was extremely knowledgeable and knew what we need to have done before we even mentioned some things. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and said that he could contact a "stucco man" for the stucco that needed to be repaired prior to the exterior painting. Every step of the way we were contacted with updates and every one was right on the button.  Terry's workers were punctual, clean and professional. There was a three day delay because of rain, but other than that everything was completed when stated it would be. We have never been as pleased as we were with Terry's companies quality and service.  

The work included remaking the design around two large front windows as the stucco had cracked and the metal underneath had rusted.  All the metal was replaced with plastic and stucco put over it.  The same with around the design of out garage. The exterior of the house was actually painted with the exact original colors. Our lanai was also repaired and painted.

We have recommended CertaPro Painters to all that have asked.

The painters started the job on Wedensday, they came and pressure washed the entire house. The guy said they would be bac kthe next day to start the prep work.. They arrived at 8 AM on Thursday and went to work. They spent the entire day prepping the house.and worked till 5PM. I was impressed with the time spent getting the house ready to paint. They arrived Friday morning at 8 AM and went to work. Again they worked till 5PM, and said they would be back on Saturday and that they would finish the job. On Saturday they started at 8 AM and worked all day and finished the job around 4 PM. Overall they were a hard working crew and were very neat and clean. The job was excellant and I was very happy with them. I would without hesatation hire this company again and recommend them to everyone,

We had a great experience. The Certa Pro team was so professional. They arrived on time, worked hard, and paid great attention to detail.  When we did our walk around after the job was done, there was nothing to nitpick (and I am very picky!).

VERY PROFESSIONAL

The estimate was very fair.  The painters showed up on time on January 9, 2012, and we went through what was expected.

The whole home was painted in a neutral beige; the paint I selected was not available, and a substitute was offered - very helpful - and the paint used was not only better (at no additional cost) but a warmer color.

The painters (Hector and Robert) were very polite and professional.

There was virtually no paint on any of the tile floors upon completion, and the crew was finished in 2-1/2 days, sooner than expected.

The job was very professional throughout.

The painters were prompt and left site clean. The salesman did not come on the first day of painting as he said he would. I walked through the house with the lead painter to show him which rooms were to be painted which color. When I came home from work, the colors were reversed. When I called the salesman, I could not get a hold of him and he did not call me back until two days later. I did talk to the lead painter that night, however, and I was told I was in error and it must be " my language barrier". After I surveyed the empty paint cans, I saw that the wrong number of cans had been purchased, ie the color that needed three cans was purchased as two cans, and the one needing two cans had been purchased as three. This was how the error was made, and after the lead painter insisted this was my error, he eventually agreed to repaint and admitted it was their error. I appreciated that. They repainted the next day.
The outside deck was painted and the upstairs had leaves painted INTO it. That is, leaves had NOT blown onto wet paint, but the leaves were adherent to the deck and were sprayed over. They fixed this after first contending the leaves had blown on after painting.
My hardwood floor was left with a large scratch after they moved a piece of furniture.
Without telling me, the painters left a bag full of family photos outside my backyard shed. I didn't see this until several days later, when I discovered that the bag was soaked inside with rain. These were family photos dating back thirty years, clothing from my kids' toddler years, my children's school drawings, awards, etc. All were soaked with water.

Immediately I had a problem with the contract.  I am not familiar with painting contracts since I haven't had my house painted in 10 yrs.  Eddy from CertaPros did the estimate.  We talked about closets and doors as he was walking through.  He went out to his car and brought the proposal in my house.  The doors and frames on the contract were marked "yes" with a zero dollar amount.  I assumed that he included that with "yes" amounts above and the total amount on the contract was $3,900.00.  This was a decent price, about middle.  Jason, the head painter, came in the first day and himself questioned the contract and wanted to make sure that I understood it.  I said the bottom line was $3,900.00 and $0 for doors.  Not a subtotal but a total!  I was charged an additional $650 for the doors that I didn't plan.  However, Jason, Isaac and Nick did a wonderful job of painting.  They went above and beyond their job.  I trusted them to get the job done right and left them in my house while I ran errands.  If you would have a category for estimate, I would give the grade a "C", but that's not a category and I really liked Jason and the guys.  I feel they were great and didn't want them to be blemished..  

I did not hire Certapro to do the interior painting.

Very Good.  They started on the day promised and completed quickly.  The workers worked very hard and seemed to get along well as a team.  The moved items on patio with very carefully and moved all back.  The did an excellent job protecting the pool deck and careful to not get anything into the pool.

They left tape which wasn?t too hard to clean up, but they just didn?t quite finish the job. It was clear plastic and they had to put it over the windows and doors before they could start scrapping and painting. That was the only thing that was wrong because they did not clean up after themselves, otherwise we were pleased and we would probably hire them again. We spent less than $500 on that service.

First off, the person who came was an estimator and not the owner or anyone who actually would do any work or supervising at the job. He proceeded to walk through the house at a very hasty speed. He was not much on conversation or questions. I asked to make sure that all window sills will be lightly sanded and repainted as they have large paint brush marks on them. He replied that what I was asking for was something special and not something they usually do and that I was being way too picky and perhaps they where not the guys for my job, that I needed a custom painting company. I told him that I have interviews a number of company's and no one seemed to have a problem with that, that is was a normal request for them, and asked him to finish the estimate. He then proceeded to the rooms with wallpaper, the wallpaper was barley holding on. He told me that wallpaper removal is a per hour work. I asked him for a fixed price as I cannot control how hard the workers will work on the wallpaper removal and considering this was a small part of the large job it should not be a big deal as everyone else I interview up till then had no issue with this. He told me no, that the owner will never agree to this and if I am not ok with this that then there is no reason for him to continue with the estimate. Frankly that was really rood, in the current market to turn away work of this size seemed unusual, but then again he was just an estimator and not management or owner. Yet again I asked him to proceed with the estimate as I would sill like to see what it would be. He continued, it took him half the time then everyone else who has been in my house to do the estimate, and he left. After all this, I never received an estimate from Certa Pro.

They did an excellent job and I was very pleased the work.

On the positive side, the estimator was punctual, thorough and professional. Also the painting team arrived on time each of the three days they were there. Unfortunately, their work quality did not meet expectations. They frequently had to be advised of areas which were missed and walls which required a second coat. In addition, there was some degree of carelessness in their work. My wife and I are still cleaning up paint spills in the bathrooms and other areas of the house. It seemed like the painting team was under time pressures to complete the job and needed to cut corners to meet their self imposed deadlines.

The painters showed up on time as expected. The work was completed in the time frame I was told. They were neat and clean. Cleaned up after themselves. The painting was done very well. The only issue I had was that they unplugged my router and knocked me off line without telling me. I was working from home and lost my connection, otherwise all was well.

They had to come back out in January because the paint was peeling and it took a while, but they did fix it. It was cold and wet, so I think it was the conditions in which it was originally painted. I would tell others that they should not hesitate to call them back if there are any issues. The owner of the branch that I used was very helpful. He had a team of people that he had to oversee and had to keep on top of them.

Hired through Costco. The work was done quickly and fairly well. They do not use any painters tape - most edges were quite well done, considering, except in the bathroom where the edges of wall bottoms and next to windows were not the best. All the trim work and the front doors were originally oil paint which they did not use but assured us that their paint would be OK - so far so good, ten months later. They used our new hose in the front to clean brushes and left the new sprayer a mess with residual paint left on gravel areas. Our bottom line is that we would use them again but next time I will keep a closer watch on the progress.

Being new to Florida, I tend to rely heavily on Angie's List. I grew quickly tired of the mauve and plum walls in my new home that were enjoyed by the previous owner. I wanted to make the home my own, and knew that the paint job was way to big for me as a Mom with a newborn and first grader. I called Certa Pro after reading some ratings on Angie's list. I called to make an appointment for an estimate on Friday and Terry came out the following Monday, which was perfect. Terry is very courteous and professional and was a true no-pressure salesperson (which i appreciate). He assisted me with understanding color sheens (flat,satin, etc.) and left me a color palate to pick out the perfect colors. I found his estimate to be very reasonable, so I went ahead and offered approval to do the work within 2 days. I advised him that I would email him my color selction. That night, I emailed him the color selctions, so I thought I was set. At 4am on Wednesday (the day I was supposed to have the work done), I woke up to feed the baby and decided to check my email. I saw a "failure notice" that my email did not go through. I re-emailed Terry the colors, frantic that the work could possibly be held up as he wouldnt have the paint in time for the job, which was to begin in 4 hours. Not sure what happened here, but I blame technology and not Certa Pro at all! At 7:30am, I called Terry's cell phone to ensure the email went through. He said it did and his guys would be on their way after they stop at the paint strore to pick up my colors. What a relief it was to know the work would get done that day! I was also happy that they were able to use low-VOC paint! Manuel and his crew arrived around 10am. They assured me the work would be done same day. They were all very willing to stay late to ensure I was happy. The work crew was pleasant, considerate and extremely polite. They had made sure everything was done to my specifications. One of the crew members even came and got me when he heard my Baby crying in my room (I was at the front of the house talking to a Boy Scout who came to my door selling fundraising stuff ). That was awesome. Overall, Im very pleased with the quality of work, the professionalism of the crew and the overall experience. I will be calling them again when I decide to paint the exterior.
