"I am the operations manager at Brothers EZ Moving and I was personally their on this move. First this was a referral from a happy neighbor and I greatly appreciate that. This was a great family very polite to work with very clean home. At the beginning of every move I explain to the client exactly how the claims process works. Just like every other moving company in the country there is a standard .60 cents per pound. I ask what are the most important pieces and offer an extra protection plan. Basically $10 for every hundred in case of accidents. She pointed out the items that were most important and we made sure to blanket and protect them with the best care possible. She denied the extra protection policy knowing the risk. It is our policy to take table legs off every kitchen table for several reasons. I took the table legs off and as always put the screws back in the holes so they cant be lost and we know were they go back when we reassemble. She asked be if I wanted to place them in a baggy and I explained this is our policy. I asked her if she wanted to care for the screws and she told me to do it my way. There was no way for me to know that the manufacturer made table with to long of screws and the customer did not know either. When we unwrapped the table the damage was discovered. Based off the predetermined .60 per pound it came out to $90 to aid in the repair of the table just like agreed. She said it was unacceptable ever though she knew about and denied the extra protection. In spite off this we doubled the coverage. The .60 cents per pound is at our discretion and we didn't have to do anything. Of course they went out and wrote multiple bad reviews. I want the $180 back because she still badmouthed us on her bad decision not to buy the extra coverage and also watched me put the screws back in the table and didn't stop me. By the way this in a nice wooded table and would be an easy repair. It is not ruined. Its fixable. I would offer to pick it up and take it to be repaired and bring it back."
