Description of Work: They came in and fixed a bunch of holes, not holes, but nails were coming out and all of that. They didn’t try to sell me a new roof. Good, professional, doesn’t try to sell you something or try to tell you that you need a roof, when you don’t. They will be honest with you.

Description of Work: Sales Consultant Don was prompt and good at letting me know when he would arrive. I have approximately 1350 sq ft home with cathedral ceilings. Estimate was reasonable and fair. ($7400 + any needed wood replacement) Work was delayed about 5 days, as they were behind due to rain. When they started, they worked from 7:30-7 or so, both days. Only downside was very loud latin music the whole time they worked. They cleaned up everything in the yard and took it with them, which was great. They did bill me too much for the wood needed and after questioning that, they corrected my invoice and I was satisfied. Bill at the office, was polite and prompt about any concerns I voiced. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Avatar roofing did a great job on my roof. Everyone is very responsive and helpful. They did a quality job and my insurance adjustor commented on the work in a very positive way. I had a few minor hiccups (their vendor left some shingles on my roof for 4 days) but that didn't affect the way I rated them because they were always responsive and quick to help. Great company.

Description of Work: They said they came out to do an estimate, but I haven't heard from them. I've been waiting, company is not responding to sending quote. They said worker has quote in folder and worker hasn't given it to the owner/manager yet.

Description of Work: The workmanship was excellent, but I have a complaint. Apparently Avatar's salesman Don had me pre sign a blank form for extra materials that weren't covered under the contract price of $8889.00. When I got my invoice it was $150.00 higher and Avatar said it was for extra plywood. I think that is being deceptive on their part. I told them although I wasn't happy with what they did, I would pay the invoice once they showed me where the extra wood was used. That was 3 weeks ago, I emailed them 3 times and called several times and they still haven't come to my house and show me.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your comment is not true on us being deceptive in charging you for your wood bill. Our supervisor's camera malfunctioned and he could not retrieve the pictures of the wood replacement. We always take pictures and send them along with the invoice. Since we didn't have pictures and you complained about $160.40 in wood used, we agreed to come to your house to go into your attic and show you where the wood was used. We could not agree to a time to schedule a site visit between us and you, as we tried several times. After several attempts, we felt is would be easier to write the wood bill off rather than to keep trying to schedule. You failed to mention in your review that we removed the wood bill from your invoice and you have since paid your invoice.

Description of Work: i hired this contractor to replace my 25 year old roof, I knew I had some problems but I had no idea until the old roof was removed. I had a considerable amount of wood rot, about 30 percent of the roof plywood had to be replaced. They did an excellent job with the repairs, they take a lot of pictures of the repairs for you so you know what your paying for. I wish all contractors were like Avatar, things would be great.

My primary concern was that parts of the lead boot around the stand pipes on the roof had been chewed away squirrels. Juan repaired them by caulking the opening between the stand pipe and the existing lead boot with silicon, and then putting a new layer of lead sheeting around the stand pipes. He also nailed down some shingles that had come loose, and nailed down some nail heads that were protruding. I was very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: I purchased the "roof tune-up" offer through Angie's List to repair some minor items on my roof.

I am very pleased with the overall results. Juan is very nice. He contacted us very timely when we made thee on-line purchase. He got out quickly to complete the work. I would not hesitate to use him again. We will probably need a new roof in the next 2 years. I have his business card and plan to call him for an estimate on the job. I would have no problem recommending him to others. With some vendors it's hard to even get a call back. Working with Avatar was a refreshing experience. Recommend, recommend, recommend.

I interviewed and received quotes from 8 different roofing companies and chose Avatar. I called all of Juan's references. Avatar Roofing did a fantastic job from beginning to the end of my roofing job here in Tarpon Springs. My roof and home had several issues with rot, stucco problems, and fascia replacement and a part of the roof was dipping. Juan brought in a great crew and extra tradesman to fix every glitch that arose. Even my neighbors said how nice, courteous and quiet the crew was as they worked. The job came in at a more than fair price. I'm really pleased with my entire experience with Avatar Roofing.

It was a difficult removal because they found at least one additional roof under the tile. The weather was terrible, but the roof was finished on time. Looks Great, Thanks Avatar!
