Priscilla, the owner, is a joy to work with, and she has a great team supporting her. Everything in my house was redone, including carpet, paint, tile, custom wood finishes and trim, new window treatments, upgraded cabinetry and granite, new plumbing and electric fixtures, and of course all new furnishings and decor. Getting through all those decisions and choices can be overwhelming, but Priscilla and her team guided me through it all, while helping to ensure we stayed on plan. My house looks beautiful. Highly recommended!

We have been very pleased with Priscilla and the entire ALEI team. My husband and I are busy medical professionals and we selected ALEI because we knew right away that they had experience in getting the job done in an extremely PROFESSIONAL manner. We needed to see digital drawings, as we didn't want to leave such big renovations to chance. ALEI utilized several different computer programs so we could see the final vision with everything drawn to scale. Once we got started we had a significant hiccup with a flooring/concrete slab issue and Priscilla & Andrea immediately agreed with our concern, stopped the job, corrected the hiccup at their expense & got us back on track quickly. They also listened to our feedback on design elements and made changes that better fit our style. Their contractors have been professional as well. We especially appreciated the work ethic & professionalism of their carpenter Ariel. Extremely detail oriented!! And to top it off, we gave them a tight timeline as I was expecting a baby and somehow it all came together before baby arrived. The entire team communicates well and their office organizer Ana has been on top of every estimate and invoice. You get what you pay for and I would recommend ALEI if you want the job done right, done on time, and with as little stress as possible.

Our 1988 kitchen needed a serious update. Priscilla quickly understood our vision and had many creative solutions for the space (pantry ideas, floor plan, lighting, elevations, windows, hospitality area). She considered our lifestyle and designed a kitchen with that goal. She gave us advice on where to invest our money wisely and where it didn't matter; this was important because we had a budget. After living in the space, we are happy to report that she was right! We worked with two teams. One did demo/rebuild. The other, woodwork. Each team had the same workers each day which gave us a level of comfort. Teams were on time. Whenever we had questions about the work ( wall placement, direction of flooring), they stopped and explained. They were patient and kind. We felt comfortable asking questions and walking around the construction site. They cleaned the space each evening. Often they did more than expected. Anna is friendly and proactive. She is easy to contact and quick to respond. Priscilla and Andrea called and/or stopped by weekly to check on the progress. They oversaw everything from demo to electric to plumbing to completion. Our experience has been so positive that we are actually looking forward to our next project with them! The result: we have a beautiful, functional space to spend time with our family and friends. Not just a kitchen. Would we recommend them to friends and family? Absolutely! Already have.

I Went fine until she told me her minimum of  $4500. I ASSUMED  that someone offering free consult would be reasonable. They don't do hourly which is fine because I understand that is there policy......but I was just looking for someone to consider our furniture/paintings and tell us what to paint our new villa, along with a little furniture placement since our new place is only 1600 sq ft and perhaps giving us a suggestion NOT RESEARCH  on recovering 2 chairs........so I estimate that coming to 2 homes for the job with an  estimate of 10 hours work at $4500...THE BOTTOM LINE IF YOU CAN MAKE $450 AN HOUR GREAT...BUT I UNDERSTAND I CAN'T AFFORD YOU.!!!
Response from

"(Removed members personal information) I am so sorry that you were disappointed with our conversation yesterday afternoon. We are a full-service interior design firm, which is completely different from an interior decorator in the sense that we offer more extensive services than your project seems to require. Our $4500.00 minimum fee includes 3-dimensional conceptual renderings of your space, furniture placement recommendations with to-scale space plans, multiple on-site project management visits to monitor construction/remodel progress, and endless hours of furniture selections, complete project specifications, construction document drafting, and more. Based on your needs, we would recommend that you contact a local interior decorator to help you with paint color selections and furniture placement. Should your needs change in the future, we would love to help you. Please do not hesitate to call me on my cell at 813-244-1181. Have a great day. The project went very well.  Priscilla and Andrea were very easy to work with.  They listened to our ideas and the end result we wanted and added their professional expertise to the selection of all the pieces and provided and managed several subcontractors.  They have a showroom which we were able to visit and peruse sample fabrics and furniture.  They made  numerous trips to our house in the process of design and project management.  They and their subs were always on time and professional and did excellent work.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

We were doing a rather in-depth renovation to about ¾ of our home. We retained Andrea
Lauren Elegant Interiors to assist us in this undertaking based on reviews from
Angie?s List and discussions with them concerning our expectations. We worked
with both Andrea and Priscilla and found each professional and experts at their
profession. Andrea was our closest contact and she worked very hard to ensure
our approval and satisfaction with our final choices. She spent a lot of time
bringing in paint samples and painting areas of our walls so we could get a
better idea of what we liked and didn?t like. She never showed any frustration or
weariness with our indecision and request to see more colors. She always
emphasized she wanted to ensure our happiness with the final results of her
work. It took some time to arrive at the colors for the painters but the
selection for flooring etc. went relatively quick. Soon we had people in the
house working and anytime my wife or I detected a problem it only took one
phone call and Andrea was here checking and correcting the situation. I was so
glad I did not have to deal with the subcontractors and had someone working on
my behalf who had been down these roads before and knew how to deal with them.
I have no difficulty or hesitation in recommending Andrea
Lauren Elegant Interiors to anyone who is looking for someone to help in
deciding what they want to do in their home and then stepping back and letting
Andrea and Priscilla work their magic.
INFO: Major work on the house was completed in mid 2014 but
we still had dealings in purchasing different items with the last item to
complete everything arriving 04-04-2015. Priscilla went into work on an off day
just so I could pick up the final chair I had ordered.

Priscilla arrived on time and spoke to my wife and I for well over the hour that was scheduled. She was both professional and friendly. She came up with many suggestions for the project at hand. We gave Priscilla a check as downpayment for the work to be done. Over the weekend we had a change of heart and decided not to proceed. When we phoned Priscilla with this news she once again proved herself to be a professional. She was gracious and promptly returned the downpayment to us in full. She gave us a follow-up call offering any assistance with any questions we might have.
While we are proceeding with our project on our own, we will not hesitate to use her services in the future and would recommend her services highly.

I called Andrea Lauren Design and left a voice message requesting a consultation for some help in decorating a few rooms in my new home. Priscilla called me back right away and we set up an appointment for my first available date and time. She arrived promptly and we discussed my design preferences. She was very professional, yet easy to talk to. She took time to view the rooms, my existing furniture and artwork and she started offering some great suggestions. I could tell, from her ideas, that she would do a wonderful job. We discussed what I would like done with the family room, living room and dining room areas, and she said I would receive an quote from her shortly. I did get the quote a few days later and feel the price quote was very fair. I have had company at my home since, so have not discussed the next step, but i would highly recommend Priscilla to anyone looking for help in decorating their home.

So far so good; Priscilla had a lot of  patience in helping me with paint color selection;this  was a challenge due to the fact we are trying to coordinate with an existing color; she ordered some very night light fixtures for me; I also picked some decor on my own and she advised on that. We will not be able to finish all the details and pull it all together until the painting is done - Mid-August. I will write another review when the entire job is done!

Priscilla came to my house on Monday and discuss what type of sytle I liked, what colors, etc.  She showed me some colors and we agreed for her to come back on Tuesday ( next day) which she did and we were able to finalize the selection of colors.  Liked to outcome - only comment I have for the type of consultation I had - I think $175 was a little bit too much but at the end I'm happy with color selections.

Our initial contact was to address custom furnishing needs in our family room, due to the design and shape of the room.  We were simply looking for a couch to replace two sets of theater style seating left from the original owner when we purchased the home.  Our home is not a typical high end home in this area, was custom built by the prior owner, and used as a high end rental property. Our goal was to make this rental home our family home, and take it from party house to family retreat.
We were not looking to spend thousands of dollars, but we knew we had to make some changes and additions in order to compete with other high end properties in our area given the location, uniqueness, and what our property does not have that other homes in this price range does offer. Although we are not looking to sell our home, we know if the time does come and we want to sell, there were items like custom window treatments, drapes, and plantation shutters, that we simply had to address sooner rather than later, which would more than pay for themselves over time with the savings in our electric bills alone. Our home had NO window treatments, shutters, or drapes.  We had box sets of 3 inch faux wood/plastic blinds in our bathroom windows, and nothing covering any other windows or sliders anywhere else, and we have A LOT of windows!  From day one, Priscilla and Andrea were wonderful to work with.  We started with a very dark earth toned palate, and now have the custom mix of Mediterranean/Italian/Spanish styles we love, in a welcoming and refreshing family setting.  We love the more traditional styles and darker woods, with browns and tans, but Priscilla was able to move us towards colors that would brighten our home interior, work well with the multicolored rustic Travertine stone flooring throughout the main part of the home, and compliment the dark wood cabinetry and stairway. What we ended up doing after meeting with Priscilla and Andrea, was a complete makeover of the home interior. Our project was not without reservations along the way, especially considering costs, time, and having people in and out of our home for a few months, and often times it took a lot of faith in Priscilla to take her advice and just trust her recommendations. The quote we heard the most: "Just wait till it all comes together at the end, and you are gonna love it", is exactly what we had to do on a few occasions, but we are more than delighted that we took her advice and reserved judgment till everything came together in the end.  We made some changes after ordering fabrics for the master bedroom drapes, and went with totally new fabrics and colors, because we originally picked out color schemes we thought we would love, but felt somewhat unsettled on. Priscilla was able to stop the orders and get us colors and schemes we are very pleased with, and in the end we are relieved we made the changes.
DO's:
1.) Take the time to really think about what you want to accomplish, vs. what you need to accomplish.
2.) Do your homework on resale values added with the projects you might address, and see if there is the potential for return on the investment of interior decorating, design, and remodeling before committing to any work to be done. To our surprise, the simple need for a custom couch turned into a larger scale project, that will add value to our home at resale, and provided us with an environment we now feel is more like a home than a rental. Its ours, and we know just simple things like new paint helped calm the atmosphere!
3.) Stay in touch with Priscilla and Andrea, and call them directly if there is anything of concern whether its for updates on deliver schedules, or working with their contractors.  Never feel afraid to discuss anything with Priscilla, and do not hesitate to say no if you truly feel something is not quite what you want.
4.) Wait till the end when you see it all come together! I know this is easier said than done. I am a control freak, and have to see everything as the completed picture. It was very difficult for me to let go and trust anyone suggesting the type of substantial changes we were being presented with in terms of paint, accents, and trims. Especially considering we were only looking for a couch when we started! But, when Priscilla comes and does a complete in home consultation, consider what she is suggesting, trust her knowledge and expertise, and perhaps consider the upside to doing things you might not have thought you wanted or needed at the moment.
5.) Be honest with your budget constraints, and communicate this to Priscilla from day one. This will make her job easier, and get you results and furnishing items you will sincerely love, and will not delay the process with changes or revisions. Priscilla suggested a beautiful custom lounge chair for our living room, but it was not an option with our budget. The problem now is we still love that chair, and will probably never be satisfied with anything else, but simply cannot justify the cost!
DON'T's:
1.) Don't hesitate to voice your concerns or dislikes! If you do not tell Priscilla if something is not quite what you wanted, you are stuck with something you are not ultimately happy with, and you paid for it!
2.) If you have any issues with a contractor not showing or showing up late, don't dismiss this or not say anything!  Call Priscilla and she will address it. Her reputation definitely means more to her than anything, and she is always available to discuss anything that comes up during projects.
3.) If something is not right, or if the price is not within your budget, don't be afraid to say NO! We learned early on, that although we have a high end home, we did not need to spend thousands of dollars on certain items to get the look we wanted. Most of our expenses came from things that added value to the home overall- Plantation Shutters, Custom Drapes and Window Treatments, a custom couch that we could leave and sell with the home due to the shape and size of the family room, and updating and adding Light Fixtures and Chandeliers were more than 75% of our costs.
4.) Don't expect the project to be done in one week, and know that you need to be ready to have people in your home and space.
5.) Don't schedule projects or installations when you know you will need to leave your home unless you are completely comfortable with someone being in the home unsupervised.

They came to the house and we discussed likes and dislikes and what theme we wanted. She took a few pictures and made a list of items we were trying to accomplish. A week later I went to their store and we went over their game plan for what all they had to offer me. They are a great ladies to work with. They have worked within my schedule and budget. They are currently redoing the down stairs part of the house. It has worked out really well so far. We have everything picked out but are still waiting for furniture to arrive and blinds to be installed.

She was very good. She was on time and very helpful. She looked at the rooms I wanted to do and we talked about paint colors. She then painted the colors on the wall. She carries samples with her. She advised me on bedding and is going to show me some fabric samples. We also talked about my dining room and decided on just getting new chairs and a runner for the table and a rug. I did not feel she pressured me at all to do anything. I was very satisfied. I asked her to give me a price on doing some of these things.

We're on a very short deadline, and she is making everything happen that we need for painting, reconstruction, blinds, carpet, room transformation, furniture placement in record speed and with beautiful ideas. She has wonderful ideas and a beautiful sense of decoration and style--just what I need! Our project is well on its well--with complete thanks to Priscilla. I found her through Angie's list. I was so attracted to the rooms she had designed for others. She's going to make an awesome transition for our new home, and I can't wait to see the final results. I can highly recommend her to anyone looking to work with a personable, fun decorator with a great sense of style! More soon...

They were really good and friendly. They were right on time. We decided not to go with them because it was just a little bit more than what we wanted to pay. They were great. They gave an estimate on their services and to get everybody else in line. Her prices were fair but I think a tad high. She brought her assistant in. They were both very positive and very nice. I think they're very good at what they do.
