Description of Work: Air Rescue was great at first for handling our bi-annual service check ups. We never had a problem. I referred my parents to them who operate a dog rescue. At the time of the appointment being set, Air Rescue was advised. All dogs were to be locked up before tech were to enter, however when tech arrived, he refused to get out of his van. The tech called his manager on the scene & they made the decision they would not help my parents & also without seeing the unit thru out an super high price of a possible fix almost as if to say "if we are going to help you, you are going to pay the thru the nose". From that point on, we have not used Air Rescue.

Description of Work: Serviced HVAC unit. Rep was very knowledgeable and professional- used the 39.00 special but Tech found other items needed and actually did wiring when he found a short circuit---no charge as did not fix the problem. Provided estimate for replacement unit. Price was too high.

Description of Work: On a Sunday i realized my air conditioner wasn't working. I thought it was most likely that the pan was full of water and cut off. After a friend went into the attic he advised me that the pan was dry. Uh Oh. So I proceeded to look up a/c companies that will come 24/7. I called several and most didn't even have an answering service. Others said we'll take your info and someone will contact you. One did.....four hours later. But when I called Air Rescue, a person answered and set up an appt. for the same day (SUNDAY) to come to my home. Unfortunately my compressor was burnt out and was too outdated to be matched with my air handler. Of course I was suspicious of being told I needed a whole new system but that was very short term doubt. The technician, showed me exactly what was wrong and explained what happened in full, easy to understand terms. He was so very nice yet professional. I met with another wonderful tech a few days later to get an estimate and he also was a very nice young man and both were also extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this company for any repairs or maintenance you may need for you air conditioning needs.

Description of Work: MICHAEL GOODWIN PERFORMED THE SEMI ANNUAL TUNE UP PROFESSIONALLY AND BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT RUST WAS BEGINNING TO FORM ON THE ELEMENTS OF THE AC WHICH CAN BE PREVENTED BY PURCHASING A ZINC COMPONENT THAT ATTACHES TO THE COPPER TUBING. Description of Work: Martin was right on time and did a thorough job for our yearly maintenance. He answered all my questions and wore protective booties when he came into the house. He made some recomendations to extend the life of our unit but did NOT give a sales pitch. I appreciate that. Will definately call them again next year. Job # 412-457

Description of Work: We are members of Air Rescue's maintenance club, so we didn't pay anything on this day for their maintenance service. However, we are constantly being upsold on more equipment. We had $6000 worth of duct work installed about a year and a half ago, and I had to stay on top of the workers the entire time (the job took twice as long as we were told) to make sure they did it right. And true to form, they find something that was installed "wrong" and need to re-install it or "fix" it. What the on-site workers don't realize is that THIS COMPANY has installed every component of our A/C and they end up having to re-install or fix it at their cost. This time we were told we have a freon leak. Even though the A/C and air handler are under warranty still, and even though it was all installed by Air Rescue, and even though all repairs have been made by Air Rescue, WE still have to pay $260 for an electronic leak detection. If that doesn't find a leak, we then have to pay $390 for dye leak detection. Unfortunately, because we have had them do all of this work on our entire A/C system, we are stuck with them. If I invited another company out to fix something that Air Rescue had previously done work on, I would have to pay the new company, but Air Rescue would fix it at their expense. I do not recommend this company at all.

Description of Work: My A/C was checked before the really hot weather hits in the Tampa, Fl. area. My system was good but dirty & mold was present. Seems the UV light had finally gone bad and that was the cost but....we've had problems breathing lately do to allergies & asthma. We'll see soon if this was the reason. The gentleman who provided the service was prompt, polite & professional and took the time to show me the problem and answer my questions. Thanks, Stephen. The phone staff was also great!
